I'm new to SLC and didn't have a hair stylist.) First of all, I have a dirty blond/brassy natural hair color... i.e. EASY to pull blonde because it's already very light overall. I have NEVER had an issue and I've dyed my hair as blonde as Paris Hilton before and have dyed my hair for 15+ years with many sytlists. I waited to go to a different stylist to confirm if it was my hair or Kassi before I posted anything. Turns out, it was Kassi and I know exactly what she's doing wrong. And a $500 lesson (yea, ouch). I went to Kassi twice. The first time she was working on someone else first and she pulled a VERY orange blonde. This made me nervous but I reasoned with myself 'well that lady had very dark hair'. So I went through with the appointment (mistake 1) and she wasn't able to pull my hair blonde (more like a semi-brassy color that you could barely see). I went back a second time just figuring that she needed to get to know me and my hair (my second costly mistake). My hair literally looked worse than when I arrived. I was so shocked and unhappy that I said my hair looks bad- there is no blonde and you're making it more cooper. She was even perplexed and AGREED and could not figure out why my hair didn't pull blonde (yet still charged me the entire cost of the appointment)... "yea, this isn't the color I was expecting either. Maybe it's because of your Brazilian Blowout, I had the same issue with another lady. We could try again at another appointment". So you want me to pay you another $250 to "try"? What? Also, I've been getting Brazilian Blowouts for over a decade and never encountered this issue (and haven't gotten one in over a year which is long for me) so I thought geez, maybe she's right because my hair is soo easy to pull blonde and it's not working. So I made an appointment with a different stylist after asking around (wish I did this initially). This new stylist literally had NO PROBLEM pulling my hair a super light pretty blonde. It was so easy she actually toned it darker so it'd mix well with the rest of my hair that she was dyeing (to correct Kassi's work). I was telling her the issues I was having with Kassi and she was able to point out (before she even touched my hair) what Kassi was doing wrong: 1. She uses Saran Wrap instead of foil. Foil keeps your hair moist and warm, thus allowing it to process. 2. Kassi's dye is thick and almost clay-like. It quickly dries on your hair under the Saran Wrap and your hair becomes this very dry stiff thing and the dye is literally flaking off. The new stylist explained to me that when the air hits the dye and it dries that like, it's no longer processing your hair. So Kassi was literally not processing my hair- what I paid her $500 to do. So I sent her a text (you're welcome) giving her the information for WHY my hair wasn't pulling blonde (this is really basic technique and it's concerning she doesn't know it, especially considering my new stylist pin pointed this before she even touched my hair). I also told her I waited until I went to a new stylist before I said anything to be sure it wasn't my hair and it was actually her technique. She might want to tell her other client whom she also blamed the Brazilian Blowout on that it's not that at all. I asked her if she would consider refunding part of the service since she wasn't actually processing my hair (and now I'm paying someone else to cover what she did). She never responded. Classy. So anyways, it was a $500 lesson, but hopefully Kassi honestly listens to my text and goes back to same basic 101 dye classes. I'm still shocked at the struggle. LOL. I've included a picture of my hair after the SECOND visit to Kassi so you can see how truly horrible of a job she did (remember, I was going for BLONDE). It's honestly shocking. The only good thing to come out of this is I found a REALLY good stylist that is LESS expensive than Kassi. I have her contact info if you're looking for a hairstylist like I was and don't want to end up like I did!

I took a leap of faith and made an appointment. I can't tell you how thankful I did! Here are a few reasons why... 1. From the "bajillion" pictures of her coloring expertise, I could tell she KNOWS how to take coloring to the next level. 2. She took the time BEFORE my appointment to know what I wanted, liked, dislikes, she even wanted examples to show her. Wow...she actually cared even before I met her in person! 3. Professional and polite. Truly a delight to chat with for the time I spent with her. 4. The atmosphere is the awesome and uplifting. Completely chic! I give it 5 STARS ALL AROUND! I wanted something to temporarily straighten my hair and I got confused by the messages with the salon which is my fault. But now after all is said and done, I'm just upset my hair feels and looks just a little bit worse if anything 4 hours of salon time and 400$ later. The lady Angela who did it was nice and did say it wouldn't straighten my hair all the way just make it more manageable. I just am very disappointed, as one would be.

Instead, after three appointments, I was left with obvious hotspots around my hairline and sides, yellow/orange tones throughout my hair, and color that now requires a professional color correction. After my second appointment, April told me we simply needed more time. I trusted her recommendation and even scheduled my color and extension appointments separately so there would be dedicated time for my color. Unfortunately, the results only became worse. I communicated my concerns after every appointment and gave multiple opportunities to make things right. While I was in the salon, two other clients came in with concerns about their color, and even the apprentice commented, "Wow, you're all having the same problem." That made me realize I wasn't the only client experiencing these issues. Rather than standing behind the work or offering a resolution, April ended our client relationship. I then reached out to the salon manager hoping to find a solution, but she immediately told me she wouldn't get involved. I have extensive before-and-after photos documenting the condition of my hair when I arrived versus what it looks like now. After spending thousands of dollars, I'm now paying another stylist to perform a color correction. I genuinely wanted a resolution, but unfortunately, that wasn't offered. I cannot recommend Bloom based on my experience.

I moved to SLC a year ago and have been looking for my hairstylist and I know I found her finally! Where I moved from, I had been going to the same stylist for almost 10 years. So the new stylist had big shoes to fill. Rylie is kind, understanding, and listens without getting frustrated. I know I can be a bit difficult when it comes to my hair because my old hairstylist had known me for so long she knew exactly what to do. Seeing a new hairstylist can be difficult because the color is a different brand, the toners are different, etc. etc. Rylie has been nothing but understanding with me and listened to my "let's try this" etc. And we finally got to a PERFECT color! She is amazing and does a great job! The salon itself is super cute and parking is very easy. They often have great deals on hair products and have a good selection. Prices are great as well.
