I had my consultation and knew right away I wanted to book with her. She is very much educated and knowledgeable about working with curly hair. She even taught me a few things to do with my hair to make sure it stays and looks healthy. I wanted a full coverage honey blonde but really wanted her opinion since I have dark hair and never dyed it in over a decade. She was very honest and gave me options. The results are a lot better than I had imagined. Finally safe to say I've found my new hair stylist that actually specializes in curly hair. Her studio is super comfortable and the vibe felt really relaxing.

If you have naturally curly hair and you want to make the most of your curls, it's so important…read morethat you go to a curly hair specialist to get a cut. If you're looking for just that expert, look no further than Kristin at Aura-she is a curly hair wizard! I went in wanting just a trim-I'm trying to grow my hair out, and want to keep length. Kristin listened to me, and told me what pieces she would cut and which ones she would leave. She showed me the back where my layers had started looking very disjointed and made a recommendation to cut a little more and even things up. I trusted her and her expertise, so I said "go for it!" The outcome was amazing-everything looked blended and the curls fell where they are supposed to, not haphazardly like they were before. A true "curly cut" is done when your hair is dry so they can see the curl pattern, how your hair lays, etc. Kristin does this and then follows it up with a relaxing shampoo/conditioner. The next day, after getting my hair cut yesterday afternoon, my hair is vibrant, my curls are alive and well and I feel great. I will definitely be back as a repeat customer.

Jamie Martinez is the best stylist at Pure Salon, hands down!…read more I've been going to her for a couple of years after a recommendation from a friend. Jamie is very sweet, funny and more importantly I walk away with amazing hair every time. I referred one of my picky friends to her and she wanted her hair done on a specific day that Jamie didn't work, well she learned her lesson. The stylist that she did get did such a crap job from the cut to the color, I had to convince my friend to go back BUT she had to get Jamie. She did and has been happy every since. (I was told the stylist is no loner there) I have 4 friends who use Jamie and her versatility really shows. We all have such different hair textures, colors and styles. The salon is nice, welcoming and all the staff is really nice. If you're looking for a great stylist go see Jamie! Check out what other services they offer.

She's super easy to talk to, which is a must since I'm usually stuck in her chair for at least 2+ hours. Bianca has been my stylist for at least 3 years - luckily I found her soon after I moved to Vegas! I was tired of hairstylists who beat the crap out my head when I came in to get a new hairdo. I mean, some people will just yank and tear through knots without realizing that your hair is attached to your head = Not fun. I immediately liked Bianca because she was super gentle and concerned about how comfortable I was. Is the water temperature okay? Will it hurt if I touch you ear? (I have an industrial bar). She gently combs through hair to make it a pain-free experience! I'm pretty picky when it comes to my hair, but who isn't? I'm always happy when I leave Bianca. Plus, she actually STYLES may hair after I'm all done. Most stylists, in my experience, just do a quick blow out and then are done. The result is that I have to go home and do my hair for reals. Bianca actually asks how you want your hair styled afterwards. Legit. Another plus - Upon request, Bianca sends out texts to her clients alerting them of specials she's offering. I took advantage of one of these specials the last time I got my hair done. I dyed my hair black with copper highlights, got it cut and styled, and the total came to $139 before tip. Pretty reasonable :) ***Originally posted this review for Luxe Salons but then found out Bianca had her own Yelp Business Page and so decided to post it here and delete my old review for Luxe***

A very dimly lit, private room with four washing stations. Soft music plays and the MOST comfortable chairs that did not put a strain on my neck during the washing process. Maddie gives a lovely head, neck and shoulder massage as she gently goes through the cleansing process. I would go back for that alone. Before we began, Maddie attentively listened to what I had in mind for a new & much shorter cut & style. She made suggestions which I loved and then took meticulousl time in doing my cut. Don't let her age make you think she may not be as good as someone with more years of experience. She's probably older than she looks and very sweet. My 28 year old daughter in law recommended her & said Maddie gave her the best cut she has ever had. I'm in my 60's and have had many experiences sitting in peoples chairs and I of the same opinion. Best cut I have ever had and best overall total experience I have ever had. Can't recommend this place enough & especially Maddie as your stylist.

My 15-year-old daughter went to Lunatic Fringe Salon South Temple in mid-April before Prom and…read morespent over $260 on a cut, color and style. She went to the appointment with her grandmother as I, her father was out of town at the time. I was a little shocked and not aware she was spending this much but when she called me to pay the bill I did so without complaint. This morning, one month later I received a call from the salon letting me know that she missed an appointment this morning and I was being charged $130 for the missed appointment. Obviously, I was a little upset as I had no idea she made this appointment as today was my daughters last day of school. I asked my daughter about it and she said she kind of remembered making an appointment but didn't get any reminder and that she had no idea she would be charged if she missed the it. When I questioned the charge the woman I spoke with simply said sorry, that's our policy. Ok, I get it that's your policy. However, I have a pretty strong hunch that she was talked into (or at least highly recommended) she make a follow up appointment but I doubt it was made clear that if she missed the appointment she would be charged $130. After speaking with the salon, I called my daughters Grandmother and asked her if she remembered anything about this and she said she wasn't even aware that there was another appointment made. In addition to going to school, my daughter works 20 hours a week in an assisted living home. She's a very bright girl but still only 15 years old and I feel she was completely taken advantage of in this situation. In fact, a co-worker of mine overheard my conversation with the salon and told me she had the same thing happen to her and that this salon is notorious for this. I understand the reason for these types of policies but I would have hoped there could have been some concession made. You got my daughters last paycheck, but rest assured it's the last dime you'll get from us or anyone I know. I hope it was worth it.
