Such an amazing little spot. I'm kind of in love. I went with a friend on a Monday night and it was just perfect weather... they have a giant courtyard/patio with live music (Monday it was two old guys with acoustic guitars singing and having a great time - I loved it!) The inside is pretty adorable as well - but this is definitely an awesome place to go on a nice day/night - the courtyard is just so dang lovely! Not a giant selection of beverages, but a good variety and the beers are icy cold! Great spot. read more

On a trip to visit friends in Cincinnati, the "mountain" was our first adventure, and Blind Lemon was our first stop. Fell in love. The minute we walked in, I felt like I was transported to a mix of my grandma's basement and an eclectic art museum. The brick walls with hanging teapots and vintage photos and paintings made for a cozy feel. Join that with the fireplace and great live music, and you have yourself a quaint and intimate night. I usually am not a fan of places where the seating is so... close... but it somehow fit the overall magical aura of the bar area. We were almost shoulder to shoulder with the table next to us, but it wasn't weird or crowded. To completely overuse the word: it was cozy. I ordered the Old Kentucky Home in honor of my hometown (Loretto, home of Maker's Mark), and I must say Blind Lemon did an excellent service to the bourbon. Strong drinks, creative menu. Service was also amazing. We went on a busy Friday night and it took a few minutes for our server to get to us. She apologized profusely and the boys' first beers were on the house. She was attentive and patient (from my experience as a server, I know a group of old friends that have chosen your establishment to catch up and drink can't always be the most cooperative of parties.) Lovely lovely lovely, all around. read more

PERFECT place for a date or just to relax for the night. When I go out in Mt Adams this is where I like to start at least (but sometimes end up here all night!). Great live music that isn't loud and obnoxious, usually something lighter like acoustic. You'll pay a little more than usual for drinks but its definitely worth it, and they make some great mixed drinks. The patio is awesome so if its nice out, definitely have to go here. read more

Love this place!! We don't get to Mt Adams as much as we'd like, but each visit always ends with a trip to The Blind Lemon. It's the perfect place to end the evening after dinner when we're on a double date. I love the courtyard and the fire during the fall and winter. Live music every night. What an awesome place to unwind. I'm talking myself right into a Hot Buttered Rum. read more

Down a flight of stairs, through an outdoor corridor between two old buildings, and a courtyard where you can hear music under the stars is the entrance to the Blind Lemon, a cozy, intriguing,, whimsical place in which to while away an afternoon or evening. Tucked away under the building above, the bar is full of interesting collections, displayed on walls and overhead: stopwatches, old metal toys, canes (one has a particularly lethal looking topper), paintings, glassware. In the summer, guests spill out into the courtyard for live music. In the winter, they can enjoy the warmth of a fire inside. I'm smitten! read more

We stumbled upon this place tonight, and it was absolutely magical. Beautiful firelit ambience with a very talented live music duo, Bernice's Children. I had the hot buttered rum, and it was so warming and delicious. This was my favorite find in all of Cincinnati! We'll be back for sure! read more

I love sitting out by the huge fire pit and listening to one guy with a guitar. It is a great place for a date or to relax and have a conversation. read more

New to Cincinnati and stumbled across this place in Christmas Day. Felt like I was transported to a secret world. Most charming place I have been to yet. The ambiance was amazing and I cannot wait to experience the bonfire and live music. Oh, drinks were just as great! read more

Was at the Blind Lemon Sat night - first time I had been there in about 35 years. It was awesome. Warren Ulgh was playing and he is amazing. Hadn't ever seen him before but were so glad he did. We want to come back when he is going to be there again!! read more

Honestly the Blind Lemon may be the best low key turn up one man acoustic guitar live music sit down 40+ crowd bar/restaurant in the Mt. Adams area. May be a stretch, but hard to find another like it. My friend Neil also swears by this place. If you're looking for the best night of your life, go to the Blind Lemon. read more

The Blind Lemon is one of Cincinnati's greatest hidden treasures, and hidden it is. A thin alley nestled between Mt. Adams Bar and Grill and Daveed's leads to a flight of stone steps. At the bottom of these steps is a quaint patio, surrounded by ivy covered buildings on all four sides. White Wrought Iron patio furniture is arranged in semi-circles around little coffee tables. Sometimes there will be a guy with a guitar. this is a great place to just relax, have a drink, and talk. The inside is very small, and has an eclectic old timey feel. The drinks can be a little pricey, but are good. The main thing here is the atmosphere though, just a cool place through and through. The Blind Lemon has been around for a while too. When I moved up to Mt. Adams my grandpa asked me if it was still there. He said that he used to hang out there when he was in college. Also, a tip for parking in Mt. Adams. The hill on Wareham Dr. seems to be one of the last places to fill up, and it's not too far from the bars. read more

I love this place. You don't even have to drink alcohol to love this place. It's a super casual bar with outdoor seating (I love in the fall/winter time when they get a bonfire going) live music, and a great historical vibe. You walk through the strange alleyway into a hidden oasis of history. The bar itself has a ton of character, lots of old items and decorations to gaze upon if the conversation lulls. I'm lucky that I'm only 5'3" because beware, the ceilings are pretty low. I love sitting outside, though, in the fall/wintertime. Not only is there a bonfire to keep you warm, but there is an excellent selection of warm drink options that fit right into the season. If you haven't been yet, go at least once, it's totally worth it! read more

I cannot get enough of this place, and I've only been there once. I was visiting a friend in Cincinnati, and was immediately charmed by Mt. Adams and the Blind Lemon. The neighborhood atmosphere felt so much like home (Madison, WI), and the bar itself was super cozy too. I loved all the found stuff on the walls - great conversation starter if you're on a date. The live music was awesome, and the drinks were delicious. Cannot WAIT to go back. (Also who's gonna turn down a bar with a bonfire in the back?!) read more

Blind Lemon - Wine Bars Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

A must visit in Cincinnati. A local, hidden gem with an atmosphere that's a mix between Cheers and Lord of the Rings. The cocktails are average, but the atmosphere, whether it is a cool spring night under the lights or inside fireside on a winters evening, is top notch. I recommend taking out of town guests read more

Blind Lemon is my favorite bar in Cincinnati, and it has been since I first went there 3 years ago. I love the ambiance and the decor. I often notice something on the walls that I haven't noticed before. There is live music almost every night--one of the best is Jeff Henry who plays every Sunday. His voice is like silk (that's what my friends say and they tend to be right.) The drinks are strong. The staff are lovely, kind, and fun. In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. There's a fire pit some nights during the week. But in the cold winter, or when it's raining, everyone is inside. I like it best when everyone, including the performer) is inside. It's nice and cozy. They don't serve food, except pretzels, popcorn, and mints. But you don't need food there. read more

Wonderful garden lounge with live music to enjoy a cocktail. Drinks only, except for the pretzels you get along with your order. Great place to relax if you're in the area. Minor pet peeve: put the prices of your cocktails on your menu. I was pleasantly surprized, but I might in fact have stuck around longer if I knew the price beforehand. read more

Im a little late posting this but could NOT pass up the opportunity to share how much I adore this little place! I was taken to the Blind Lemon on a date over the summer and was absolutely charmed as soon as we got there! There was live music and we sat outside in the garden listening to live music and being served wine. I don't know if it was my date as much as the environment we were in that had me swooning :) I have told my friends numerous times about this place and suggested it as a perfect, and thoughtful date spot! read more

Wow. I will never step foot in this establishment again after the way I was treated last night. As soon as we walked in a male African American I guess hostess stopped me right away, was rude. Short with me. And disrespect right from the start. After asking to go to the patio he said no. He said inside Only. So we follow him in. I tried to ask him a question and he stared at me like I was a lesser human than him and he ignored me. When we decided to not go to our table and leave I said " we're going to go somewhere else, thank you." He said "good".... as someone who has worked in the service industry for 10years in Cincinnati and also has worked in mt.adams for years... I will tell every soul to never attend this place. Get better staff. Treat people with respect. read more

Great live music! Really cool collection of "collections" ....so check it out! So fun to sit outside or inside! Great place to go with a bunch of friends! OR just you and your date...very romantic. read more

Long ago and far away I used to live at 1000 Hatch Street. My favorite watering place in Mt. Adams was Blind Lemon. I used to walk my dog, Misty, down the street and we'd go in and visit with Walter. Of course I'd go there with friends and hang out in the patio. The atmosphere is second to none, and you feel like you're just hanging out in someone's patio. I went back to visit Blind Lemon a couple years ago with a friend when I was visiting Cincinnati and Walter came up and gave me a big hug. And he even remembered Misty! Long live Blind Lemon! read more

It's been a while since I went to Blind Lemon, but thinking back to it, I'm not sure why I haven't been back. The place is great! I became a fan of Blind Lemon the moment I saw an entire page of the menu dedicated to hot chocolate. And not just any hot chocolate, flavored hot chocolate. And by flavored, I mean spiked. So many options to choose from, and the two that I sampled, one with a cherry liqueur, and another that had butterscotch schnapps, were amazing. Another nice thing about Blind Lemon is the patio. Such a nice space to sit and enjoy a few drinks with your friends. I've also heard that they have a fire pit on the patio to keep things warm when the weather gets cold, but I never made it back in the winter. Now that the weather is getting nice, I'm looking forward to trying some of the frozen drink specialties that I've heard about. read more

I went here on Valentine's Day. This place is very unique, and a spot on perfect date night. The staff was extremely friendly, and the hot alcoholic beverages were great. I cannot wait to go back read more

This. This place is the bar that I've been searching for since I started drinking. LOVE the vibe...intimate and cozy. Really solid liquor selection and friendly and attentive waitstaff. As with any establishment in Mt. Adams, parking is tough, but no worse here than anywhere else. What sets this place apart is the lack of the "bro" crowd. If you're looking for a place to dance and chase tail, look elsewhere. If you want a quieter place to enjoy a drink and a conversation with some friends, this is the place to do it. Don't know the name of the guy, but the acoustic guitar player who was there the last time I was in was absolutely stellar. Played a lot of tunes off the beaten singer-songwriter path which is always appreciated. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem! When I first time there, it was kinda weird because I need to walk down the stair, but once I'm there, THE BEST BAR EVER! You just have to visit this place, the environment is so romantic, historical and cozy. Also, their cocktail is awesome, even during winter, you can get a cup of nice cider and just chill for hours! THE BEST! read more

A great way to wind down the evening on the hill. There is a cozy oasis courtyard in the back with a generous fire pit, that lends itself to social interaction with someone new or intimate moments with that someone special. They have some warm drinks for cool evening, even spiked cider and coffee. There is usually some mellow but inviting music playing, live or previously recorded. There is also an inside seating area if you prefer, decorated with an assortment of interesting photos. read more

There is no better place in Mt. Adams on a beautiful day. Their courtyard makes it feel like you're someplace else and is beyond relaxing. There is typically an acoustic musician and they have always been entertaining and eclectic. The crowd is typically older and more sophisticated than what you might find at some other Mt. Adams establishments. This is a perfect place to take a date. It is romantic and fun, yet still feels intimate. If you're looking to pick someone up, you have plenty of other options in Mt. Adams. read more

Great atmosphere. I came here at the end of the night and I think that annoyed them as it was close to closing time. But it seems like a nice place to sit and have a drink and listen to some live music. The inside was really cute too, when I snuck in to use the restroom. Kind of cabin-y feel to it. Drinks are a little pricey, though. read more

Blind Lemon can be many things. It can be a warm, cozy bar to have a hot drink on a cold night and catch up with an old friend. It can be a romantic after dinner date spot, complete with dark corner tables. It can be a year-round al fresco hangout, with a fire in the pit and/or live music depending on the night of the week and the weather conditions. It's not the bar for every mood, but on the right night, there's no place like it in the city for atmosphere. read more

Best Feature: Adorable interior! Charming, friendly staff, and great drink selection! Worst Feature: Parking, not great for big group settings I was recently in here for a big event and was a bit nervous going beforehand since I know usually the location of Mt. Adams means difficult parking situation. Sure enough, it took me a bit to score a sweet spot near the Blind Lemon and I counted myself lucky to have found a spot a few streets away. Getting there, I was a bit confused - there was a sign for The Blind Lemon but the entrance seemed to be a set of stairs leading to a patio. I ducked in the neighboring restaurant, Daveed's, to ask where the Blind Lemon was. Turns out I should've taken about 10 extra steps forward into the vacant patio (cold weather, nobody was out there) and there was a big sign stating where the entrance was. Once I entered, I was totally in love with the charming interior. Romantic lighting with lamps and lots of decor awaited me with small tables, perfect for an intimate outing of 2-4. The hostess / waitress was very nice to me, greeting me and helping me with picking a drink. As I was being responsible, I asked for their tea selection. The rest of the drink menu looked fantastic, and I wish I could've had one - put that on my "to do" list. She listed off a main tea and said she could bring out a tray of available teas, but I just decided to try out the first one she mentioned, "Cosmic somethingorother". I chose to drink it hot, and it was nice to have her ask me first what my preference was. The tea was absolutely great and I sipped on it happily while meeting the others in the group event I was attending. The big downside for me was how hard it was to get around the small back main room - once we had about 20 or so people there, it was insanely hard to navigate anywhere without have to ask others to move out of the way. I wasn't a fan of that aspect, so if I came back it would definitely be for an event where I'm just with a few people. I loved it there - I definitely want to come back as the menu selection looked great, prices were what I'd expect, and the service was great. If you're in the area, I'd recommend a stop in! read more

Prices are okay, the overall place is crowded. Our server was excellent but the manager was rude, snippy and uptight. Recommend getting there early on busy evenings (Fri, Sat in summer) and not bringing more than 4 or 6 people total. Oh, and the live music is chill acoustic if that's your scene. read more

The atmosphere here is the only reason why I would ever go back. I love sitting on the romantic patio with the fire pit burning while sipping on a glass of wine. It would be a wonderful place to take a first date... If you were willing to spend a LOT of money on your drinks! I have only been here twice- once on the inside and once on the outside. I recommend the outside for all the reasons above. I recommend the inside never. The inside is ridiculously cramped. There is no privacy and you feel like you have to hunch to not his your head on the ceiling. Maybe I should be giving this place more of a chance. Like I said, I have not be impressed, but so many other great reviews might warrant a third look... read more

One of the cutest little places that you wish you had known about earlier. As a place with options for both indoor and outdoor seating, blind lemon adapts to all seasons (after all... This is ohio!) In the summer, they have live music and patio furniture set out with a great seasonal cocktail menu. During the fall, they have giant fire bit to gather around and keep you warm. And during the winter you can enjoy a hot drink inside in a cozy atmosphere. My favorite drink here is the hot scotch hands down. Great vibes here and perfect for a relaxing night with close friends. read more

Blind Lemon - Wine Bars Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I love this place. I seem to find myself here in the winter a lot sitting by the fire enjoying a hot beverage. The winter cocktails are delicious, and the ambiance is perfect. read more

The Blind Lemon is like a combination of your bff's backyard and a boat. The outdoor courtyard takes up most of the space, but they have lots of benches, live music (usually solo acoustic stuff) and...a fire pit! And alcohol, of course. And the tiny inside is mostly wood-paneled and full of random old portraits and stained glass and mugs hanging from the ceiling and whatnot, and really makes me think I'm on a boat. A boat that is also a slightly upscale old timey tavern. With alcohol! It's a good place to hang out and chill outdoors when the weather is nice, or when the fire pit is going, and the inside has its own kind of bizarre charm. But, hey, I have to hand it to any place that has both beer and hot chocolate with butterscotch schnapps on the menu. Let it never be said that they have no variety, or a lack of delicious. read more

One of the best spots in the city -- any time of year. I've been here in autumn and winter, and love the fire pit. We went here earlier in the spring and they had live music inside. We used to go in college if we wanted a "classy" night out instead of the overdone house party kegger scene. The festive drinks are great and the staff is friendly. FUN FACT: I was telling family members about this place, and my mom said she used to go here in the 70s. Here I was thinking I was cool finding a place like this. HA! read more

If you're looking for somewhere intimate, with character or a simple cocktail that's delicious. Visit , "Blind Lemon." I suggest trying the, "Gold Rush" cocktail. It was phenomenal! Blind Lemon is the perfect spot to wind down on a Sunday evening. It is nestled in a cozy backyard-like area in Mt Adams. When I lived in Cincy, my friends and I would frequent BL every Sunday night and listen to Jeff Henry serenade us with "Banana Pancakes" or another song. It became a tradition. In the winter, we'd cozy up indoors and admire the paraphernalia on the walls. In the summer, we'd sit on the patio chairs, and sway to Jeff's voice. It's an amazing place to relax with your friends, or pass the time with your significant other. All of their drinks are delicious. In the winter, I recommend warming your throat with a Blind Baileys drink (Baileys and coffee/cream). In the summer, try one of their Iced tea drinks or anything (you probably can't go wrong with any choice). I love love love this place, and highly recommend this hidden gem. read more

This is a great hangout, the atmosphere can't be beat by any bar I've been to in any state in the country. It's just fantastic. The wait staff is amazing as well. Only small complaint would be the drink prices are a tad expensive, but you get what you pay for - an great experience! read more

You have to stop here. Seriously. You should go right now. Stop what you're doing and go experience the awesomeness that is the Blind Lemon. We stopped here based on reviews and some local chatter. I was so blown away by the atmosphere. You can't find a bar like this where I'm from. The scenery is just fantastic. We visited on a nice, cool day. It was overcast. We sat outside and listened to live music (which was great), and we had coffee and hot chocolate. The drinks looked rather interesting. I also saw a family with freshly popped popcorn. The interior is very tiny, but with fun decor. I would definitely recommend sitting outside if you can. read more
