I wouldn't recommend based on issues with communication to patients in general. I had a positive…read moreexperience with birthing my baby but I never got appointment reminders, always had to call and track on my own. My most recent experience is that they have now dropped me as a patient because I rescheduled my annual appointment too many times. Granted I work full time and I am a mom of 3 under 7, so reschedules have had to happen due to work and kid sickness. My issue is that I wasn't given a heads up or warning that I rescheduled too many times (they even had me as a no show which was never the case, always called to reschedule). When I recently called to reschedule due to not being able to get time off for the appointment, I was told I couldn't be rescheduled due to the amount of reschedules and this was their policy as of 2026. Again, would have appreciated an update in this policy so I could have better planned. I give 2 star simply because my birthing experience of my 3rd baby was great! However, as a patient when it comes communication and being valued, it has felt cold and lacking.

This is a really good OB, the staff there are amazedly sweet and patient. The only thing I would…read moresay that's could be better is parking and time. It's really hard to find a parking spot depending on what time your appointment along with it be overly packed as if appointments have been over lap with each other. Other then that I love coming here the staff has never did me wrong I would most definitely recommend to come here

It was time for my first mammogram instructed by my primary care physician . I didn't know what to…read moreexpect since I never had one and breast cancer has shown its ugly head on both sides of my family. I wore army fatigue and combat boots to my appointment because whatever the outcome was I was going to be a soldier about it and conquer it head on. Check in was a breeze and I was called back within minutes of arrival. The waiting area was pretty full. Many women were there getting mammograms as well. Every race, age, and size were here for the same thing. I think I was the youngest person at that time receiving services. I was called back and signed a few forms. I was ushered into another waiting room. I was giving a dressing room and a locker to place my personal items in. There was a robe I had to put on. I had to remove all my clothing from the waist up and tie up the gown and return to the waiting area to be called back for the actual mammogram. I was called back and the mammogram went by quickly. It did hurt a little bit when the mammographer had to include some of my shoulder muscle into the machine but it didn't last long. I was out the door in no time. My results were back in about 30 minutes and everything looked normal! Thank God for great health!! Ladies, its best to get annual screenings starting at the age of 40, but someone younger who has a family history of the disease may start getting mammograms sooner than that. Ladies, please have your girls checked out and don't forget to do those self exams at home!!!!

Not Good actually believes menopausal women do not have Ovaries at least that is what she stated to…read moreme. Says what is there has no function at all. Also stated because the ovaries do not function you cannot have a hormone imbalance, as nothing else in your body produces hormones. Needs to go back to school. She is not board certified although it is said she has been in practice at least five years. Think that over. In addition, she is clumsy when GYN procedures. Tried to do a biopsy and fail ok but then stuck a need twice causing much pain. Stating to her nurse/assistant who was in the room for the biopsy procedure that she could not get the needle in my cervix but is didn't matter anyway as she couldn't get a biopsy with that needle anyway. I was shocked and speechless but thinking why stick me with a needle twice for no reason. ???? She may know how to deliver babies but if you are older or have abnormal issues stay away from Patricia Brands. And after all that had the nerve to charge for the visit. That brings us to the office and the Manager. Do not expect the office manager to actually listen to you, she will not. Stacy brags on google reviews that all you have to do is call and talk to her but when you call, she will tell you she isn't interested in what you have to say get very nasty with you and hang up. It's a dead end. As for the office, not up to par either. Check in front office clerk ok, but downhill from there. Was referred by my primary for a doctor's visit with a Dr. Joiner, to review a post-menopausal bleed and results of an abnormal sonogram. The sonogram was sent over per both office I check before I went and brought a copy. Yes, I was prepared. Somehow, I ended up with Dr. Brands. Check in nurse thought I was there for a ultra sound, when I told her I already had one and was there to speak with doctor she actually argued with before going to see. I was told they had an emergency just an hour before that messing things up. ????? I did offer to reschedule if this caused a lack of time. Offer was declined. Ok pass that oops onto the next check point the doctor's nurse/assistant who again only talked about this unknown emergency and how behind they were. Again, offered to reschedule. Again, declined. At this point Dr. Brands comes in. again same thing all about this emergency. Very little was talked about other than she disagreed with the sonogram findings, not believing hormones in older women and the clumsy biopsy attempt. Mostly kept coming in and out off my room and the room next door with another patient saying I be right back with you each time and indicating previous emergency as the problem. Just not focus on me as the patient at all. Just going through the motions without clear focus though on what she was doing. Really bad experience paid for by me. I called and left a message for the office manager to call me but before she did, the schedular called to schedule another procedure. I explained I was uncomfortable with Dr. Brands and the service received. That I was waiting on a call to talk to the office manager to see what could be done. Was ask a few questions until I said I want to talk to the office manager first. She did give me the cost and indicated the cost was the same no matter which doctor in that office did it. It was to be an in-Office procedure. The amount was very high so I ask for the procedure code and an email to explain the charges. Received the email and it was vague, not detailed at all and talk more about my insurance and deductible than the details of the charges. Told cost of procedure was 4450, my cost would be 1830. Called insurance company to verify and was told that code had a maximum liability to me of 560 and that there had to be some other missing code. Insurance company called and said they admitted to making mistake and that my cost was only 1400 however insurance company also said they would have to get with claims to verify that. I read the insurance company the email as it shows that all was a lie. The insurance company is now investigating this. So out on google reviews I go to find the price over charging has happened several times in the past with one woman fighting 6 months to get her money back. Check it out for yourself. But be warned this is not an honest open book place at all with at least one questionable doctor. In fairness most of the other Dr. have good reviews. The Office itself does not and what review there are of the office is not good. Dr. Patricia Brands I could not find a review on. And other than their main web site she is not even listed as working there. They have a facebook page that does not include Dr. Brands. Think about that. Just be ware of this office and Dr. Patricia Brands who is not board certified after at least five years of practice.
