The lady that runs this place is so kind and she really forces me to reach into my memory bank to speak Korean to her (my Korean so bad that a Seoul cab driver berated me for a few blocks). They are so nice! I have never ever disappointed by anything Cindy altered for me. And they clean & press so nicely! AMAZING customer service. I did my wedding dress here, and I could not have asked for more. Not only did they do a great job with alterations, but it was very affordable as well. As soon as I walked in and tried on my dress, I knew that I was in good hands. They were very personable and made sure that I was completely satisfied and comfortable with the decisions that were made about my dress. When I went back to try on the dress, after the alterations, it was better than I had visioned and expected. I will add that my dress was definitely not an easy dress to work with (because there were about 7-8 layers to the dress), but they did an excellent job. I could not have been more happy and excited to wear my dress down the aisle. I even told my bridesmaids to take their dresses to Blessed Cleaners. I just recently moved back to the area and needed to find a place to have a suede jacket dry cleaned! They actually use another company to clean these items. Unfortunately, I got my jacket back that was originally in great condition, ruined. Mind you I paid around $60+ for the service. You would think these delicate items would be treated with more care. This place is a bit hard to find, initially, since its tucked away in the corner of a plaza on Clayton. However, the service and price is great, and also fast. I had never really taken anything to get dry cleaned before (read: poor college student, cotton items only) but my initial experience here was great. Only 10 min from my house and from Concord BART, it makes it convenient for picking up my items after work! Consumer beware: great dry cleaners UNTIL they ruin your clothes! I always took my expensive shirts here and they usually do a good job BUT this time I brought by $98 James Perse polo to them which is only 3 months old AND I got it back with 3 huge whitish looking spots on it. Keep in mind- my shirt is olive green so these spots definitely show. When I asked them about it, I was told that it was "already like that" and "maybe it's faded because it's old". I said it's not old and why would it fade only in 3 distinct spots? No where else? Again, I was told "I don't know". They did not accept responsibility or offer to clean it again to try to correct it. I told the owner that I'd contact the manufacturer to see if this is a known issue. They should at least offer a refund for the cleaning of it or try once more to clean it. Hopefully Nordstrom can exchange it for me since it's not that old. Don't say I didn't warn you. I'll be going to a new cleaner from now on unfortunately. read more

Now, post sale, I went to another cleaner closer to home and found them very good. A little more expensive but very good. I thought - let me give the new owners a shot and so I did. Well, they are cheaper no worries there but after losing one of my two Tommy Bahama shirts, at $140, I am not going back. I'll go back to the more expensive cleaner that doesn't lose my shirts. We were loyal customers when previous owners. They were good with men's laundry shirts at a good price. However, things changed dramatically since the new owners took over the business. We would have issues almost every other drop off. Since the new owners started, they have damaged a Black & White Market Cardigan, Burberry button-up shirt, scarf, Ann Taylor button up shirt, missing waist belt that was part of a bebe shirt, missing button on a Michael Kors shirt...the list goes on and on. Doesn't exactly seem like "same day" to me. #2 Numerous times I've had shirts come back with wrinkles. If I wanted wrinkles, I'd iron my own shirts. When I've pointed it out, I was told that I should have told them to iron my shirts instead of press them. I would think that they would know how to clean shirts, as that's their business. #3 Their alterations are hatch jobs. If you want your stuff to get ruined, let them alter it. I've been to Blessed Cleaners several times over the past year, each time needing something altered. Each and every time, she pulls it off (forgive the pun) seamlessly! I have come in last minute for family gatherings or even holidays when she was obviously overworked, and she has squeezed me in and even had my items ready earlier than she promised! She also let me know if any of the alterations I requested would not come out the way I wanted. I had a pair of jean shorts that were a little loose, and she warned me that making them smaller would create a little bump in the back. She was right, and I wasn't happy with how they came out, but she gave me a fair warning so I absolutely don't count that against her. While I really want to go on and explain how wonderfully she did with all of my other items, I think the best way to encapsulate all of them would be to describe my first encounter with her. I came in needing a dress altered for my boyfriend's graduation. She first told me that she could have the dress ready in four days, and I told her that the graduation was in three, and would it be possible to have it ready before then. Without hesitating she finished my measurements and said, "Aaanything is possible!" With Blessed Cleaners, it really is. read more
