The employee gave me the key and I was off. Turns out all the shows don't have a bathroom in their stores, but rather have their own keys for customers and themselves to share. Handling my business because the medication I took, I finished up and washed my hands. Almost made it out before the door opened a two women walked in. I jumped a bit because I was reaching for the doorknob as it opened. Not a word was spoken as I left and the handled their business. The drinks at this place hit the spot, but the small bottle of S.Pellegrino was just a tease for me. The vitamin water did hit the spot. The place is cozy and I know we passed by this place the last time we were, but we did not miss it this time. It was worth it.

Stopped by for something warm and yummy on a wet and blustery Victoria afternoon. We had a dark mocha and a latte. Both were excellent and had fun patterns. Blenz may not be as trendy as Starbucks but would definitely come back.

Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Value 3/5 Locale 3/5 After an extremely rude and draining experience at a breakfast restaurant just a dew minutes before, I was totally "recharged" by the bright and cheerful staff at Blenz. I can count on one hand the number of times I have tipped for a single cup of coffee, and I totally felt like the staff deserved a tip for the way they went out of their way to make me feel happy and welcome. Thank you staff for a terrific cup of coffee and a mental / emotional cheer-me-up. Saw other customers with really neat latte art. Cups, lids, and napkins at bar were neatly arranged and plentifully stocked. Inside was clean and organized. What more could you ask for in a coffee shop? read more

Great coffee shop in the middle of Victoria. As we were way past ready for a good coffee (caffeine) kick, this local chain was a pleasant surprise. Very helpful & accommodating employees. Coffee is delicious-a nice break from the big chain, big name brands-their "London Fog" is amazing. Great calming atmosphere & ambience. If ever in Canada, this is a great stop! read more

This place was allllrighhht...to be fair Starbucks was probably better. But I work and live at Starbucks so it was a nice place to try instead of our usuals. I ordered a Carmel macchiato with almond and she was pretty confused. Sorry im an American. In a rush this is a good place to hit. read more

If you want the best coffee in Victoria, don't look further Blenz Coffee beats everyone by leaps and bounds. I was traveling to Victoria and while traveling I have always wanted to explore local coffee shops and Blenz indeed was a hidden gem that I discovered. They were almost closing when I got there but the staff was very courteous and got our orders in before they started their closing shop processes. I highly recommend their iced mocha, hot chocolate and espresso. read more

I'm not a coffee fiend by any stretch of the imagination. This is the Canadian Starbucks, but why aren't there more of these around? They offer pretty much the same variety of mochas, lattes, etc etc. Instead the Canucks choose to pay for American coffee. I don't get it... but one thing to note: they offer a latte with dark chocolate! Starbucks doesn't have that and it's pretty tasty! Nothing spectacular but good CS and no wait in line. A-OK by me. read more

I don't drink coffee, but my husband has a latte every day. After trying several places, he said he liked Blenz the best. I love hot chocolate, but no one seems to make good hot chocs any more. I went with him one day, however & noticed that they serve single origin Columbian chocolate, and that you can get it white, milk or dark. I've never seen this before so I gave it a shot , and what a surprise! THE BEST hot chocolate I have ever had! I had the dark every day for the rest of our stay. I like it here! They have a great selection of drinks for the coffee fan in me and the Chai and tea fan in Isaak. I had the Belgian dark chocolate mocha which is delicious. I made sure to order it with half the chocolate or as the barista said, "half the sweet." Which was just too adorable for words:) It was still plenty sweet and very indulgent, no fake chocolate taste like the Starbucks mochas I am so fond of. Isaak got a Strawberry Tea Latte which he said was very good. So two thumbs up Blenz! Will definitely be back. Not the comfy-est spot to chill for hours to study, read, or journal, but a nice place nonetheless. read more

Decent coffee and specialty drinks. I got an Iced Soy Chai Latte, which was awesome. Perfect amount of sweetness. I didn't try the coffee drinks, so I can't comment on them, but the barista was nice and seemed to know what he was doing. Convenient location with a few seats indoors and outdoors. Prices are pretty standard. read more

As a Master Barista, I highly recommend Blenz for your coffee. My wife had the latte and I had my usual purist straight up black coffee. The preparation of the the latte was precise and all technical points were met. The coffee art was an added bonus and both of us found our selections to be most excellent. In addition my youngest daughter (15 years) had her usual libation which was the hot chocolate... oh my gosh, I have never tasted a smoother, richer hot chocolate than this one. Bottom line, if you want really good coffee in Victoria, hit up Blenz. read more

It can be a bit spendy as it starts at CA$109 per person before tax and tip - at least for me I allocated the entire $100 USD dining credit with the Amex fine hotels and resorts benefit on this. Reservations are almost mandatory for weekend and I'm glad I made one just in case, although it was rather risky due to the 48 hour cancellation policy if I fly in the morning of, but it worked out. They're strict on time - I made a 12pm reservation and they refused to seat me even though it was not busy at all at 11am opening and made me wait until exactly 12pm. A bit harsh when I contacted the hotel and made a note to the restaurant for my arrival details. I got the traditional afternoon tea for 1 so just tea and 3 tiers of scones, small bites, and desserts. It was quite nice of them to refill the entire tier of savory small bites even though I only requested 3, so that was a nice touch that somewhat made up the poor first impression. You can request more of certain items for free, just don't abuse the system basically The food with the 1 tier refill was more than enough food for me - the service was decent as they checked up on me during the meal. I nicely asked for the tea gift box that is only reserved for anniversaries and they accommodated, but this will almost unlikely happen in many situations so your mileage may vary. I did wait 20 minutes for the gift box as it wasn't a priority for them, so do what you will to see if it is worth the time (I at least was not in a rush)

We ended up getting a number of different items: Custard Ball ($2.99) - We warmed this up in a toaster oven, giving a bit of the crust on the exterior edges of the donut, especially on the top where the powdered sugar turns into an almost crème brulee-like topping. The crumb is very fluffy fried and is filled with a sweetened vanilla custard. (4/5) Ube Custard Ball ($2.99) - This has the same donut dough base as the normal custard ball, but is filled with a dark purple ube cream. It's sweet and earthy, albeit not necessarily the most heavily ube flavored. (4/5) Original Ube Ensaymada ($2.99) - This bun, extremely fluffy and nice to eat, has an interesting spiral pattern construction at least when viewed from the bottom, but it's not apparent inside the bun. The bun is sweet and again there's not too much ube flavor. If it wasn't purple I'm not sure I could identify it as ube in flavor. (4/5) Classic Pandesal ($0.99) - Lightly sweet, great soft texture.
