I came in and the place was dead just like the clock they had on the wall. He had one customer, this Hispanic boy about 7 years old with his mom, and a teenage girl who I assumed was his sister. He told me it would be about 30 minutes for it to get done, so I told him I would be back. When I returned, he was still cutting this boy's hair. I waited another 15 minutes, and when he finally finished. It took him another 5 minutes to get ready because he wanted to take pictures of his client's haircut. I asked him why there's a need for this, and he replied that he was trying to promote this barbershop. He said he was a barber student, and he wanted to take pictures of his work. Hmm... No wonder all the barbers that used to cut my hair weren't there. I didn't think much of it until the Hispanic family had to pay. He charged them the adult fee of $25. The mom was so surprised, so I said something. I don't like seeing people get taken advantage of. I told him that the sign stated that kids haircut and senior cuts are $20. Why was he bumping the price to $25? He then said the sign is incorrect. I told him that they need to change the sign because it's false advertising! He then said that he's only been there a week, and it's under newly appointed management. I said the new business is off to a rough start then! He's making up prices, and that would turn off potential customers. He then added that the haircut was normally $35 because it's special. I was like what? You're a barber student, and you're going to charge $35? What's so special about this place, and his work? It's not even fancy! No hot towel service, No frills. Plus the new place can't even get it together and replace the dead battery clock on the wall. To top it all off, he continued to text on his phone while talking to me. I decided not to get a haircut there. Not only did he wasted my time, but he also provided poor customer service. Always…read morehave tipped very well. today I asked him to do something different. gave him a picture of what I wanted which wasent something very hard. he didn't ask questions and started to cut my hair completely wrong. nothing close to what I showed him. if he didn't understand what I wanted he could have asked more questions or asked for the picture again. Or in the very beginning said this is out of my ability and said he couldn't do it, which I would have respected. I ended up stopping him. over the two years I wanted to give my business to a small shop and support them. I remember I went somewhere else once and they asked who cut my hair cause it was jacked up. I didn't want to listen because I thought he was just trying to get my business.
