I'm usually never the person to put one star on a location, but I just had a bad experience. I came here in 2022 wanting to purchase replacement lenses and at that time I was given a free replacement, which I appreciate. My mom had lenses she needed replaced now in 2026, so I asked if I could purchase new lenses. They told me it was not possible and I could only purchase new frames. After that, I was ignored in the store and the staff left the store empty. You think they would at least try to help me. I was close to buying another pair, but I felt judged. Now I might consider buying lenses elsewhere because they didn't want my business. Another employee also took a phone call on company time. I just left. I spend the entire time there trying to research where I could buy replacement lenses elsewhere. You think they would at least try to retain their old customer base. I was even planning on getting new computer glasses but this was a much different experience. There were a couple of customers before me, but the store got empty and they just went into the back. I like these shades especially for the price. I have 2 sets currently and have a third beat down set that seemed to have much better quality lenses than what's on my 2 newer sets. The right lens is delaminating around the edges shown in the picture, you can see it in the photo by my left pointer finger. Not sure how or why but both of my newer sets have this going on, I don't use chemicals to clean the lenses so I'm not sure I'm buying the excuse I was given with oil or sunscreen getting on them causing this. I stopped by the Encinitas store today to see if there was anything they could do, sounds like my only option is to buy another set of shades for 30% off - no thanks onto the next brand!I read more

I've seen Blenders on social media before through ads and various content, and while staying in the Encinitas area on vacation I noticed they had a physical store in the area. My husband and I visited on a Friday afternoon and were able to check out the full variety of what they had to offer. I was really impressed with the various styles they had to offer and the quality was fantastic. When I noticed the price point on each selection - I was actually blown away and couldn't help but snag a few pairs. I have visited this Blenders store probably 4x's this year. Customer service wasn't bad, ok/normal. However, yesterday Thursday, the customer I received from Mayeli was OUTSTANDING!!! She greeted me, noticed I was already rocking some old Blenders shades and asked if I needed anything as well as gave me some great reccomnedations for new shades/lenses. Just recently had an experience with Taylor that needs to be shared. I have a fishing trip coming up in 4 days and the Blenders site estimated even with expedited shipping there was a chance I wouldn't get the glasses in time. No big deal, I was willing to drive the 80 miles to pick them up in person. To ensure I didn't make the trek in vain I called the store first to make sure the item was in stock (in this case a pair of SciFi's in the Buttery Bro's color way). The person who picked up the phone, Taylor, had a better idea: why not complete the process over the phone and have them shipped out from the store that way the glasses arrive sooner. After giving me the run down on what was available we processed the order and BOOM - done deal. Not only was this the better option for me logistically, but Taylor was so fantastic throughout the whole thing. I hung up the phone in a better mood that's how awesome the interaction was. I love blenders. I prob have about 17 sunglasses combined. I came into the store because a pair of mine was starting to show some type of weird running on the lenses. The young girl up front seemed like she did not want to help me. I've never had issues with their sunglasses before and they say they cover warranty on irregularities. Needless to say she wanted to charge me to get them fixed at 30% off when I know they replace them for free. Let her know I'd get with customer service online and I got the shoulder shrug. Received a pair of sunglasses as a gift from blenders. They were in the box new and never worn, so I went into the Encinitas store to exchange them. They said they needed the persons email that bought them, or an order number. I am not sure how I would have that when they were a gift nor would I want them to know I exchanged them. After no luck finding those details they said they can't do anything for me. I only wanted to exchange them for another pair, keep in mind they were not worn, brand new, with the tags and box. The female manager said sorry nothing we can do so we just left the glasses there because they were not going to be worn Or given to someone else that might have the same issue trying to find another pair. Pretty bummed on the brand knowing that I know the owner Chase personally. Should probably fix that exchange policy before you start losing sales. read more

My boys each received a pair of sunglasses as gifts. After wearing them for a while, lenses on one pair got scratched and the second pair also had major issues. When I went into the store to ask if they could fix or replace the lenses, Taylor welcomed us into the store and shared with us that if they had the lenses in the back they could replace them for free. I brought the glasses in that same afternoon and he was able to replace/fix both pair of glasses. He was so warm, welcoming and friendly to me and my family.
