Camarones al ajillo with a side of yellow rice & beans

My friend and I came here after an event.Starving and we knew that the quality of the food would be good as we've visited other locations of this restaurant. Space is quaint, but definitely lively.bThe staff is friendly and professional. We were offered a seat at a table or the bar, but was encouraged to go to the bar, since we were partaking in the happy hour. We tried each of the frozen cocktails and ended up getting both. For food, i chose a side of rice and beans with an appetizer (i've had the garlic shrimp before and it was delicious) Great choice (it was a little bit salty) next time. I'll go with white rice instead of yellow. My friend ordered the Lomo Saltado for the first time and she was pleasantly surprised. Needless to say, this place is a solid choice.

Fun, lively atmosphere with good latin food! We came around noon on a Saturday and were able to order from both the brunch and lunch menus. We ordered the Arepas (appetizer), Bistec de Pollo, and Pernil- both entrees came with rice, beans, and plantains and were very filling. The Pernil was my favorite- it was juicy, savory and very tender. The Bistec de Pollo was good but dry, which isn't super surprising given it was breast meat- consider ordering the Honey Chicken Thigh if you're looking for a chicken dish that's juicier and more tender. Overall I found it to be a very satisfying meal and would come back.

The food was good. The service was decent, except for the fact that the staff let a couple sitting next to us change a baby diaper table side!!. They also said nothing when they were having a loud FaceTime conversations.

Really great food! Appreciate the twist on traditional Latin dishes Service was really great and attentive, especially for our group of 20+ people for brunch And the space itself was quaint and open

I've just remembered about finishing some of the reviews sitting in my draft, which is one of them. Don't worry, I remember the taste because I note down every time I try a dish, but I keep it in the draft. The place is decorated with a pretty ambiance and is relaxed. My friend and I came here on a cold day. We shared Taco Trio. She ordered chicharron or pieces of fried chicken. I tried one, not bad. We also had a nice salad, Queso De Cabra. Try this salad because it was my best for the night. Everything was prepared nicely with colorful toppings on the tacos, plus the sweet treatment from our waitress, Stephanie. Thank you for making our dinner a pleasant one. Thanks!

When you want spanish cuisine this is the place to go to. Service is always amazing and warm. Restaurant gives a nice summer vibe with the island tree decorations. I have celebrated many occasions here. They also have lunch specials. Prices are decent and even better when treated too.. My fav was the arepas con queso. The sweet and the little bit of saltiness was a great combo.

    Ropa vieja & Cuban sandwich

I ordered to-go from this spot and it was a great lunch spot! We got the Ropa vieja & Cuban sandwich and it was pretty solid! I rarely try Latin food, so I have minimal expectations, but both my friend and I enjoyed the food that we got here. Their ropa vieja cames with plantains that paired well with their meat. And, the Cuban sandwich was packed with roast pork and ham. Would love to dine-in next time!

This place is small, unique and has a great Latin cuisine and vibe. Decided to have NYE dinner here and it was a blast of delicious food, tasty drinks..... Loved it and enjoyed the entire experience. I would recommend them to anyone visiting the New York area and wanted a treat of flavorful explosions!

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! My boyfriend and I have been coming to the Astoria location for YEARS! And we recently visited the Kent ave location! Bomb! Amazing but the LIC LOCATION IS FUMBULING!!!! 14 bucks for a flavored margarita (they charged us an extra two for the flavor) when the menu doesn't say it. Then the fucking waitress that the FUCKKKKKING nerve... to point to the happy hour menu which added the extra two dollars to the happy hour price! This location is fraud!!!! Don't come here. Manager if you wanna work something out, plz DM me IG or tiktok

This spot was ON POINT. OMGoodness I had the Churrasco lunch special. I asked for a salad instead of the rice. I ordered my steak medium well and it was DELICIOUS. The Frozen Sangrita was not too weak nor not too strong. The service was friendly and the wait time for my meal was not long. The ambiance was low key, clean and comfortable. I will be going back...Ohhhh and it's a few blocks away from the 7 train. Try em!

I was skeptical about trying this Blend since I did not have great experiences in the other Blend locations in either Long Island City nor Astoria. As soon as we entered, they have a nice full bar to the right and have the walls decorated with post card looking frames from different countries. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She took our food and drink orders quickly. I ordered a passion fruit margarita which was very good and two poached eggs on arepas. The potatoes it came with were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The eggs on the arepas were heavenly; the arepa was sweet and salty and paired perfectly with the yoky eggs. They say my boyfriend happy birthday and gave him an ordered of bread pudding with vanilla ice cream on top which was the perfect way to finish the meal. Will definitely be returning to try other items from their menu or a night out for drinks.

    Pollo A La Plancha

I love this restaurants food in general and this location on Vernon Avenue in LIC is probably my favorite location. Why? Because it's a bit more low key and the music isn't loud. Pretty much easy goin. I had the Pollo a La Plancha (Grilled Chicken) with Tostones and white rice and a side of Avocado. I finished it off with their Flan which was super delicious as well. Our waitress was friendly, had a great smile, good attitude, seemed happy and was very accommodating. Overall, if you're looking for some good Latin/Columbian cuisine Blend won't disappoint. Tasty, delicious and a pleasant environment to be in. Now go enjoy yourself a good Latin meal and you can thank me later. Have a blessed day now!

Lomo saltado with beef that is tender

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The food, service, atmosphere, all were terrific. We started out with guacamole and chips and calamari blend. The latter was cooked to perfection with delightful seasonings and it was dressed up like I have never seen a fried calamari dish served before. The guacamole dip was to die for. Next came the paella and lomo saltado, and they too were we just fantastic. And they even had pina colada. Prices were not outrageous given the high cost of everything these days. A definite return is in order.

Yummy, home cooked, family vibes is how I would describe the food and the restaurant. The owner is also very friendly and service is speedy! We had the chicken en pulique and the chicken was so incredibly moist and fall of the bone tender. The tortillas also seem fresh and handmade which is amazing as well. I loved the cuchito. The empanada is very nice in that it's different from the typical wheat empanadas you see in NYC since it is made of corn. The loroco pupusa is something I would definitely come back for too. We ordered tacos with beef and some with pork. They were delicious! The grilled skirt steak was fine if you like your steak well done. For those, like myself, who prefer steak medium rare, it was a disappointment. The chicken entrée in a creamy sauce was a highlight. The mixed green salad was unfortunately mostly iceberg lettuce. The sweet plantains were exceptionally tasty, and despite being fried, they were not too greasy. The black beans were prepared differently than we expected in that they were sort of mashed up and very thick rather than whole beans served in a bit of sauce. Nevertheless they weren't bad. The shrimp ceviche was outstanding! Try Tikal - you'll like it!
