Blaze Pizza is my go-to pizza place because they have a gluten free crust option but I will not be returning after my most recent experience. While in line with my children, the employees behind the counter were loudly discussing inappropriate and offensive topics. I spoke up and let them know it was not appropriate, especially around young children, but instead of correcting their behavior, they laughed it off. The lack of professionalism and basic respect for customers was shocking. Blaze Pizza seriously needs to address the conduct of its staff. There are clearly some great people working here, but management and others need serious retraining on professionalism and basic customer respect. I eat here at least 3-4 times a month but sadly won't be returning. read more

I love Blaze pizza. It is delicious! However, the horrible experience I had waiting for my order 10x outweighs the positives of the food. I placed an online order for 5 of the 11" pizzas and arrived at the store about 15 minutes later. They were busy and had an issue with their receipt printer so the order was missed. No worries, I'll patiently wait. 10 more minutes, then 20. I asked what's going on. Oh - we're working on it. 30 minutes, then 40. What the heck? 45 minutes - we have one of your pizzas. Meanwhile they've cleared out the entire line and made like 100 pizzas while I've watched. I have a party at home with a house full of people waiting on me! We eat there 2x/mo. We have gluten and dairy free folks in our family and everybody is still able to get what they want. It's SLOW on a Friday and I wish they wouldn't take mobile orders when it's busy because that seems like it really slows to process down. We have waited 45 minutes in line on several occasions. BUT it's the only legit delicious place in town to get pizza on a gluten free AND dairy free diet. I came here tonight because Blaze was donating 20% of proceeds to Special Olympics Leon County! The place was packed, but the 5 staff working there killed it! They kept the line moving and were super friendly. I appreciate them so much. My son had the basic slice- cheese pizza, and I got the build your own with the classic red sauce and most of the vegetables with mozzarella. Sooo good! I'm not afraid to admit I ate my whole pizza! (Don't judge, I had a small lunch lol) Some friends ordered garlic rolls which looked ah-mazing and salads which were huge- bigger than expected- which is always a good thing lol. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever had....Ordering is similar to a chipotle, where you go down a line and pick and chose the items you want. The byo is an incredible value at only ~$8 you get unlimited toppings. They have a blood orange lemonade as well that I'm officially addicted to. I stopped at this shopping plaza at about 8:45pm on a Friday night. I was charging the Tesla and needed some "fuel". I'm gluten free and dairy free, so pizza options are normally very limited! Not here! The only dough that is both gf and df is the gluten free dough. When I ordered, I was asked if it was a preference or an allergy - which shocked me for a chain, quick service pizza place. They changed gloves, took the proper precautions and even had pizza sauce in a special container to make sure there wasn't any cross contamination. I picked my toppings, it cooked quickly. For a chain they're good and the food is hot and delicious. Think of it as a "Subway" for pizza. You go through the line, they write your name on the pizza sheet and "hand you off" to each attendant working their station. You basically tell the staff what you want on your one sized pizza they make and when it's ready (180 seconds fired up) they call your name. The concept is 6 minutes from start to finish to get you through. It's loud with all the busyness they move through but if you can deal with that you'll enjoy your meal. Great Pizza reasonably priced. We were in Tallahassee for soccer and to move our son into his apartment for his senior year so we had specific requirements for our meal. Close to the soccer complex, pull through parking able to accommodate an extended length van and 12-foot trailer, fast good food. Blaze Pizza, located in the Village Shopping Center fit the bill. It is a order and pickup style counter service with an ample eating area. It was clean and the servers were excellent. The servers were knowledgeable about their product and willing to answer questions while interacting with you as you completed your order. The facilities were pleasant and there were only two other families eating in, though they obviously did a better pickup service. The bathrooms, one single stall female and one unisex handicap catch all restroom for everyone else to include women. It was mediocre in terms of cleanliness with the subtle odor of urine underlying the smell of cleaning solutions used by the employees. No where near the cleanliness of Buc-Ees mega restrooms, but not as bad as some gas station restrooms I've encountered and closer to a cleaner Walmart restroom. We ordered three pizzas, the meat lovers, green stripe and hot links. Really enjoyed both the green stripe with the pesto adding a really delicious note of freshness and the low slow heat and flavor of the hot links. Nothing super spicy but a nice gentle heat to warm your palette and leave a lingering memory in your stomach. Really enjoyed these two pies. The meat lovers, on the other hand was definitely a disappointment. The lack of meat was the biggest thing noted by the family with my children remarking there is more meat in the hot links than the meat lovers. 1 of 3 pizzas was disappointing but otherwise a good choice of eateries for delicious quick service. read more

When we arrived at the restaurant at 6:13pm, we called the number as instructed and were told that the order was not ready yet but they would have it out shortly. They had our pizza ready, knew that we were at the curbside spot (and knew which spot it was), and let the pizza sit long enough to get cold. All 3 of us did the build your own, 2 with pesto sauce, one with traditional marinara. My daughter and I like grilled chicken and veggies on our pizzas, my husband is a pepperoni and sausage so we love that Blaze gives you the flexibility with individual size pizzas that everyone can get what they want and no one compromises. So my pizza had pesto sauce, grilled chicken, goat cheese, spinach and roasted garlic. The pieces of roasted garlic were huge and delicious. My husband got traditional red sauce with pepperoni and sausage and he said it is his new favorite pizza in town. After every topping they ask if it's enough so you absolutely have the option to tell them to pile it on. They put it in the wood fired oven and maybe 5 min later you have your masterpiece to eat. Customized to you and delicious. Living in the area I was happy to see they had mobile and online ordering options, so absolutely option for take out one night. Or two. This is a fairly new place to eat in NE Tally. I'm very impressed with all of the employees I've encountered here. Everyone is so pleasant and on top of things. The pizza is great, brownies are yummy and the drink selection is unique. Sierra and Mason are fabulous. Not sure if they are managers, but they should be. Disappointed in customer service on our take out order. The employee who made my pizza tried her best not to add more toppings on a "build your own pizza" when asked multiple times. Cheese didn't even cover the pizza, she picked apart a couple of artichokes pieces, and 3 small tomatoes pieces. When I asked for her to add more she pick up one piece of artichoke and tore it into small pieces. I also had a piece of cardboard (the size of a quarter) cooked on top of my pizza. It was disgusting. Since we just arrived in Tallahassee after a long 11 hours of travel I would have taken it back to their location at 1400 Village square Blvd, Tallahassee if I wasn't so exhausted.
