Oof. Yes, what I wrote was meant to be a review and no, it was not meant to be an insult. Surely I am not the only one who has seen the similarity between that Progressive commercial and this restaurant and similar places? The food was fresh and tasty. It is the reason I would consider returning but "$12-$15" for a salad where I stand in line, pay at the register, find a seat and eat from a plastic bowl with plastic utensils seems a little high for this old boy. My wife regularly pays $14 for her favorite Southern Spin Cobb Salad at Backwoods Crossing where we are waited on at table and eat with utensils and bowls that are reusable and go through the dishwasher rather than into the landfill. I have even rationalized a steak salad for myself a few times because the amount of steak was similar to what I would get with a steak and baked potato meal and the salad meant I was eating healthier. Those too were enjoyed at a restaurant where we were waited on and ate with utensils and bowls that go through the dishwasher and not the landfill. I think I paid $17 for those. Maybe somebody was having a bad day but "methinks thou doth protest too much."

The food is pretty good here. Similar to chipotle but fresher ingredients. Service was good also. May be hard to notice driving through this street. The only real down side is hours of operations not being open later in the day.

Just recently noticed this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Nice/clean area; outside dining available as well. Not a long wait for food (get in line and let the staff know how to build your food item); notably, there are specific menu items, but customers can also build a bowl. My daughter ordered a bowl with the panko-crusted chicken as the protein; I ordered a salad with honey citrus shrimp. The drawback to my salad is that there was too much dressing! I requested "medium" for the amount of dressing, but it seemed more like heavy dressing - my bad though; next time I will know to request "light" on the dressing. :o) I am looking forward to also trying the bowls and the soups!

Super neat place. Simple, clean but inviting. The salad was amazing. Staff is very friendly. Only downside it's only open form 11am to 3pm which can make it hard for some to grab food there unless it's an off-day. But maybe that will change. Def. should try the place out.

Had an excellent first visit to this new Midtown establishment. The line was long, but it moved quickly. The staff was patient, gracious and friendly. I had the Mexicali Trop salad with a few modifications. It was delicious, flavorful and filling. Parking and seating is a premium. There is outdoor seating but mostly uncovered. My lunch date and I walked down to another establishment outside in the shade as I saw a few other Lemon & Thyme patrons doing. Speaking of my lunch date, she ordered one of the grain dishes and her bowl was empty by the end of our time together.

This is my second time trying Lemon & Thyme and I can wholeheartedly say it was great both times. Today I tried the Medi grain bowl with a mix of brown rice and quinoa topped with baby spinach, oven-roasted lemon chicken, herbed falafel crumbles, cucumber and tomato salad, chickpeas, feta cheese, and their Lemon Vinaigrette dressing. My only complaint about the food (that is not really a complaint) is that I wish there was more falafel or an option to have falafel as a protein because it was delicious! The dressing has left a haunting sensation on my tastebuds but not in a scary way, more in a sense of wanting to know the recipe because it was SO good. Each time I have had Lemon & Thyme I leave feeling satiated-not too full but feeling satisfied. Additionally, the silverware and bowls you eat out of are compostable or recyclable. The only suggestion I have regarding ambiance is to figure out a way to add more seating and to lower the noise with soundproofing of some sort during lunch rush as it was quite loud in there today and limited seats for the line of guests waiting to be served.

I had a great experience for lunch at Lemon & Thyme today. Bright, sunny space that was really clean. Happy employees and great food! I had the Kale Caesar salad and added avocado, a really great lunch that fills you up but doesn't weigh you down. I'll be back!

As a side, I ordered the potatoes which I thought would be more like Greek potatoes and the plate came with potato chips. The fish was good, but I probably would not order it again. They've earned another star because the waitress was friendlier and the sandwich was OK. So, I tried this again after my last dismal review. They have a special of a grilled chicken sandwich so I ordered that. The order came with potato chips and I had a side of their grilled potatoes. I am so sad that this review is not as good as my last one. The employee at the register was anxious to take my order and did not listen when I had questions. I finally had to say that I have questions because all the heard was "beef". What I wanted to know is if I could get the gyro disassembled. I prefer to eat the meat and pita separately because I just don't eat that much bread. She asked someone who assured me that this could be done. (If it couldn't, I would have been perfectly happy going next door. It was delivered completely assembled and the person just walked off without a word. I don't know why but this saddened me. So, I started to eat it as it was and the meat had gristle through it- and I don't mean in just 4-5 pieces. I'm not sure how you quality control that unless you actually cut the meat yourself. I felt a bit let down because I had tipped well before the food was delivered. The restroom was clean and I appreciate that. There was no salt and pepper on the table but the delivery person (same as cashier) didn't ask if I needed anything. I don't know if I will be back.

We parked in the parking lot and entered the restaurant to order food bowls and wraps. We chose from several bowl options, including the Chicken Wrap, Kebab Bowl, Grilled Chicken Bowl, Smoked Salmon Bowl, and for dessert, Baklava. We took our seats at the cafe and our order arrived in 10 minutes. The bowls were delicious and refreshing, giving us the protein needed for our journey. The smoked salmon and grilled chicken were especially noteworthy, and we loved them both. Even our toddler enjoyed the food, and he highly recommends Mediterranean Cafe.

I settled in for the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, while Dawn had the Greek-shrimp salad. We were served quickly and the shrimp was fresh and cooked nicely. Dawn absolutely loved her salad, it was seasoned just right according to her. Everyone was friendly, the waitress made sure we were okay, and the ambience was good. I went on a weekend and there were definitely a lot of students working, but they all seemed really friendly, and one in particular seemed like he'd worked there longer and was really focused on doing a great job. I tried to go back a week later, but they were very randomly closed for maintenance. I tried for a third time to get dinner and the service was terrible. I came inside, they have a bell that rings when the door opens, I could hear people behind the counter and I saw someone at the drive-through waiting for their food so I thought I would patiently wait. When the worker came to give food to the drive-through, they did greet me. Then they yelled to the people in the back and no one came to the counter to help her. She then walked to the back for a moment, came back to the counter, but told me she would have to take the next drive-through person before she took my order. Long story short, I decided to leave and go somewhere else. I could hear multiple people in the kitchen area.
