I was in town for work and decided to try this place that was not far from my hotel. I did get takeout because I wasn't feeling great so I did not want to sit in the restaurant. I got the Med Caesar exactly how it comes with the dressing on the side. I didn't change anything and I'm so glad I didn't because it was delicious. The red pepper feta spread is so yummy. I want to go back and just get some of that. I added an extra piece of pita bread because I like to eat my salad kind of like a dip so I made like mini sandwiches as I went. I inhaled the entire bowl of this. It was so good and I wish we had Cairo's in Central Florida. I also tried the lavender lemonade. This is probably not for me because it's just a little too much lavender, but it definitely tasted high-quality well-made. Service was great and the portions are generous. It's a perfect fast casual environment with plenty of seating and room for groups or families. Kairos Mediterranean is a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant that models itself after Chipotle Mexican Grill. The staff was friendly and they were pleasant enough as we walked the offerings and they loaded my bowl. I went with a bowl and for my protein had half chicken and half lamb. My only complaint was that super greens were very thick and hard to chew, maybe they should have finely chopped it. For Mediterranean food that is fast casual, this was a pretty good choice. It was decently priced. I think a bowl starts at just over ten dollars and for me adding the half lamb. I think they upcharged about ninety cents. This was a decent enough fast casual place to grab a meal. If you are in the area and in s bit of s rush and want a better option than a fast-food burger, this is definitely a great alternative and one that I would definitely recommend. Amazing high quality food. So many varieties and you can make so many combinations! Everything is made with extra virgin olive oil from California which is great because a lot of restaurants cook with seed oils. Some of the vegetables are from Greece and the lentils are from Canada! For the most part, I thought my street pita was good. Full of fixings and the chicken was tender and flavorful. You order at the counter (similar to chipotle). They have options of make your own pita, salad, bowl or they had their own creations. The falafel has a weird texture.. it's almost as if it was hummus but deep fried. Definitely interesting. The staff was working hard, you can tell they were short staff as the line to make food was delayed and the trash was overflowing. I was really motivated to leave a review because I don't feel that the overall rating does this place justice. Delicious food, full of flavor, healthy taste. Loved the atmosphere - no obnoxious music, they have one tv that just plays through a series of videos of how the prepares each of their dishes. Our children really enjoyed watching that and honestly we did too! Had dinner with family while in the area. It reminded me of Cava but in ways it's better! One way is the drink selection, the turmeric drink is kinda peppery hot which is good but was strong at first sip, so I cut it with the strawberry basil drink then later enjoyed the lavender lemonade. The kind lady assisting, educated me with any questions and when I wanted 1/2 dressing on each side of the bowl agreed and commented that it was a good idea to try both types that way. The selection as I chose to build a bowl was great for my interest in healthier foods. I was glad to see sweet potatoes & black bean lentils in the mix of choices and other items that made for a delicious & healthy meal, the weather was pleasant so we ate outside on the cozy porch. The time with family was priceless and the food was delicious, I will be asking for more next time I'm in Tallahassee and possibly inquiring with a local restaurant owner about them looking into bringing this to a town closer to home also. I stopped by Cairo's for a quick bite. This is a place that specializes in Mediterranean style bowls and pita sandwiches. I got a bowl with lamb, red pepper, feta, tzatziki , brown rice, and lots of veggies. The bowl was really good, especially the tzatziki I thought the lamb was a little dry, but I was there late in the afternoon after the lunch rush, so I imagine that if I had gone earlier, it would've been more moist. So we ordered an order delivered and were instructed to call door dash. After having to drive to the store to get corrected replacement order I was told that my refund had to go through door dash. They basically hung up on me. Great business model, so after paying twice for one correct order. I ended up paying fifty four dollars for one takeout meal. RIDICULOUS- we will NEVER order here again. When we get a chance we go here! We order the street pita. Kairos bowl, chicken pita quesadilla and a kids bowl, plus an order of string fries. It may seem overwhelming with lots of toppings to pick from but the variety will just mean a different flavor aspect is unlocked every time you go. I always like their drink choices. My goto is a combo of watermelon and lavender. There's also Turmeric and Berry. 10/10 will go again and again. They have good air filters on the ceiling too! read more

This is like the unloved step some of Chipotle. I am sure many will like this but it ain't Greek or Lebanese. Have the Love triangle Pita. Half went in the garbage I should have known when the groovy cashier guy said you "have to try the watermelon water". Could not distinguish the lamb from any other protein. The Harissa overpowered everything and is African and not Greek. The tzatziki was like feta paste. The pita was fair but could have been heated. Noticed this new restaurant several months ago and was looking forward to giving it a try. I finally went in for lunch and really enjoyed my meal. The place is nice and clean. The seats aren't the most comfortable, but this can be normal with cafe' style eateries. There are various combinations of bowls that can be ordered which includes grains, greens, veggies and other miscellaneous items. There are menu bowls as well as the option to build your own bowl. The bowls come with three sides of spreads/dips (such as different types of hummus and Tzatziki sauce). I ordered the Kairos chicken bowl with basmati rice, grilled zucchini, sweet potatoes, onions, red peppers, and topped with feta cheese. My lunchmate ordered the lamb bowl with brown rice, grilled red peppers, onions, sweet potatoes, and grilled zucchini. Both our bowls were drizzled with Greek vinaigrette dressing. I enjoyed my food, though my lunchmate indicated that her lamb was very lukewarm. I will plan to visit again and perhaps try one of the pitas. read more

A refreshing change! I was excited to see a Greek style restaurant opening near us but I didn't know it would be fast food. Typically I don't like that but this is an outstanding choice since the vegetables are fresh, it was not overly salty, and I felt like I could grab a fast lunch that was healthy and delicious. The pita bread was light and fluffy, it could have been warmer and although it was a little undercooked, it was still very good. To order, you walk through the line and tell them what sauces you want, which protein, vegetables, and toppings etc., they basically build it in front of you and you can choose a beverage before you pay. I don't think I have given 5 stars before, but there wasn't anything I would change. It was somewhat overwhelming deciding what to order. It reminds me of Mediterranean Subway style. The staff were very patience, nice, and efficient. I couldn't decide, so I went with the Recovery bowl. It was delicious. The red pepper feta spread is amazing. Everything else blinded nice with lots of flavor. My husband had the Street Pita with the spicy chicken. It had good flavor without burning your mouth. My daughter ordered the Kairos bowl. I heard about this relatively new place, and being in the mood for a gyro one day, decided to order take-out for lunch. My order consisted of two build-your-own pitas, feta fries, and a drink. The pitas (one lamb, one chicken) were surprisingly flavorful. I was a bit concerned when I read other reviews that mentioned the meats are not prepared on a spit, the way a traditional gyro place would do them, especially since the lamb has an upcharge. However, the texture of both the lamb and the chicken were perfectly fine, such that I didn't notice much of a difference. While I enjoyed the taste of the feta fries, the fries themselves were soggy, probably from being stored in a sealed plastic container that had tons of condensation on the lid. Also, my drink order was wrong, which I didn't check until I had already driven away. In a nutshell, Kairos has great food that I'd be willing to try again. The servers were pleasant. I'm docking a star primarily because of the lack of value. The items on the menu, while served in decent portion sizes that left me satisfied, are a bit expensive. And take the advice of other reviewers (which I unfortunately ignored) and do not order fries or drinks for take-out. read more

Food is great but the service is always horrible and not very friendly. They don't listen and there's always some confusion when telling them what I want in my bowls or how I am paying. Every time I have been the front staff gives me attitude and act as if I'm bothering them. My experience is that the cashiers don't change their gloves after handling cash/cards and then proceed to handle food. Every time I go they forget something and then I have to go back up to the counter and ask for the missing items. They need to train the front staff. read more

This is a learning review, I hope. First time visit. Won't be the last, unless. I know they are new, and I hope learning. Let's start with the time of day; noon. Ok. So it was busy. Packed. Both my sister and I ordered a falafel and split an order of feta fries. My sister and I have been eating falafels since the early 70's. These were the worst. Why? 1). The mix was way too wet. 2). The falafel balls were mush on the outside and raw in the middle. 3). The feta fries were under cooked and greasy. I'll put this in a Southern Term they will easily understand. Falafel balls should be cooked to the consistency of a hushpuppy. Crisp on the outside but like cornbread on the inside. The comment about the fries speak for itself. Hint. Precook the falafels for the noon rush and place them under a French fry heat lamp!!! ***Think about making them not round, but saucer shaped for better center cooking. Falafel pita. Recommend opening the pocket of the pita. The folded sandwich is a big mess that just opens and the ingredients fall out. The sweet tea was empty. There was no sweetener for the unsweetened tea. Good: Lots of toppings. But it took a long time to get through the "Subway" like line to finish off your order. The place was clean and the staff friendly. Kairos is new. Hopefully it's just a learning curb. Think about adding a gyro to the menu, much faster for those with limited time. Good luck. read more

Love, love, love their food. I've been here a handful of times because the food is really good. But tonight, I experienced the worst customer service. The ladies up front did not greet me once I approached the line, and they continued on with their conversation as if a customer wasn't standing there. I asked for two recovery bowls and mentioned that there would be adjustments made to each. During the entire process they kept talking to each other, and would close the to-go box without my order being complete. One of the ladies got frustrated when I told her I hadn't finished with one box, and she got mad and left the line. A different employee had to help me. He was nice but didn't know any of the toppings. So I had to point out which hummus or vegetable I was referring to. Seems they need better training and better attitudes. read more
