Update from last night: upon reflecting about my burger, I went inside in to review the menu and the app menu, which was on my phone and realized that they must have given me someone's special order. Because it didn't have the cheese, inion rings or the bacon or the lettuce and tomato, and so they offered to remake it for me again to which I replied, "Yes, I would like to really try it the way it is intended." The only problem with that is I was full and could not eat it until today and I reheated it. Now I must say, it's pretty darn good. The other thing is that their 50/50 lemonade/ Iced tea, I asked for more tea than lemonade, and the tea was just so weak, and I'm not certain why. Overall, I may be compelled to come back again, because of the service and their efforts. I tried Shake Shack once last year in Glendale, California. And it seemed like it was okay, and I just don't remember much about the food or the experience in Glendale California. Aren't your name?I have helped to build and design restaurant menus and concepts for the ground up like granville, restaurants in LA, and a few that I signed NDA is for. The hamburger was inferior to a Burger King mini-whopper for more money. Bah, humbug! Shall not return.

Prices were "okay" a single party is $7 but if you add cheese and some onions it's $10 which is kind of a large up charge for two things. The cheese is vegan since this is a kosher burger joint. The food was okay, the burger lacked a lot of the depth that I expected from a smash burger. It was just a regular burger, kind of bland. The fried Onions were "okay" too, it felt like they didn't bring the oil to temperature before dropping it in so they were soggy and oily. The service I got was good though, the girl explained everything and was really nice. I did leave a tip even though I honestly don't think they should be asking for tips for a place where you have to clean up after yourself and all they did was bring it out. Which is Panera bread level of service.

A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.

Whenever I head south, it's the very first place I stop--and when I'm driving home, it's the last place I hit before getting back on the road. I even have to bring home a full order for my family, three hours away. I literally drive three hours just to eat Laspada's. That's how good they are. It was one of my favorite places when I lived in South Florida, and after all these years, they're still making the best hoagies I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, stacked, and totally unmatched.
