I bought one car 3 years ago from this company a Mustang no complaints. This latest car I purchased from Blasius, a Ford Thunderbird - lots of complaints~! Where do I start? [1] They sold me a Ford Thunderbird with dirty motor oil. I bought it to the service Department's attention and with an attitude the guy looked at my oil and saw that it was dirty but then he looked in his computer and saw that it was documented that they changed but then he looked in his computer and saw that it was documented that they changed my oil so obviously I'm lying but somehow my oil is dirty. Begrudgingly they scheduled an appointment to change my oil. I bring the car in I'm waiting around for a half hour and I see the car is still sitting outside in the parking lot. I asked how long is it going to take and they say oh about an hour. I left and Decided to pay to get the oil changed at an oil change place. [2] The roof leaks whenever it rains. [3] The air conditioning doesn't work. [4] The combination of problem number 2 and 3 above is that when it rains the inside of the car fogs up so bad that I can't drive. These people had no business selling this car to anybody. This car is not ready to be driven but they did sell it to me for $13,000. When I called up about these complaints the response I got on the phone was "well gee Evan you were kind of in a hurry to get the car" so it's my fault that they sold me a car that wasn't ready to be sold. Still waiting to hear back to see if they're going to do anything about these problems. When I looked over the carfax report I saw that it had three previous owners when I looked over the carfax report I saw that it had three previous owners and all three of them didn't hold on to the car for very long maybe I see now why. If this issue doesn't get resolved I go to dealer and repairs division and file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency State's Attorney as well as the Better Business Bureau. This is not the dealer to use in this area. They answer the question of who is worse, the insurance salesman or the used car salesman. Our salesman, Jeff Campaniolo, was a bit of a wise guy, but we needed the truck and decided to deal with him. He took a lot of smoke breaks and in the end could not deliver the deal he said he could. You will pay retail, plus, for a truck here. They will not negotiate. Then they have these two packages as add-ons. Oil change for life and the tire plan. What you don't realize is that the oil changes are scheduled for every 5k. Though they will take it in every six months if you don't drive that much. The tire plan (which was a good deal on a SUV I bought for my wife in East Hartford) is a sham as they will only replace the tires of the same grade as what's on the vehicle at the time of purchase. Fair enough, but these tires are the cheapest brand available and you cannot upgrade the tire, I tried. The finance department is usurious. I only financed 8k, though I didn't need to, but it was easier than heading back to the bank. The rate was over 9% but they assured me how this was not a big deal. Needless to say, I refinanced when I got home and saved myself big money. After that they seemed to lose interest. If you call, they have trouble getting back to you. I've called Jeff numerous times, but he has failed to return my call. They owed me (glad I got it in writing) an undercoating and that took at least four phone calls to get an appointment. Once the service manager got the vehicle, he did do a good job. I haven't had any other service done here so I am hoping that the service department is a saving grace. Otherwise, I would recommend going to another dealership or using an on-line service. Enterprise sells some really nice vehicles at good prices and great service plans. If I were the owner of this franchise, I'd be disappointed in the people I have entrusted to represent me. But, it's all about the cash. read more

I called Blasius and asked if I could come in and look at a car. They answered immediately and allowed me to come straight in without an appointment. I drove my new (to me) Camaro home the same day. They were straight forward and worked hard to get the vehicle ready the same day. They also took my trade in vehicle and offered a very reasonable price for it. The only issue I had with the car was the cigarette smell from the past owner. Blasius got me straight in for a deep clean of the interior and completely covered it without saying a word. They didn't even flaunt that they did it for free like a lot of places would. The financing manager was professional and friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. Over all a nice place with friendly and helpful people in sales and service. I'd buy from them again and recommend them for sure. read more

Unfair dealer fees at the end. Document fees equaled $698 and then a charge for VIN Etching for $199. The used car already had the VIN Etching done. When asked about the issue they said its mandatory (which means i have to pay for no reason). The document fees of $698 are outrageous and egregious. That is a predatory charge and on top of false charges for VIN Etching borders on illegal. I highly recommend buying from anywhere else for your car purchase. I am from New York and bought a vehicle from Blasius North on June 13, 2020. From the time of my arrival to the purchase of the vehicle it took about an hour and a half and most of that time was completing their paperwork. I have to believe that was one of their easier sales, I did not dance with the sales team and manager over and over again to save a few hundred dollars, I am pretty sure they made money, and I drove away in a vehicle I wanted. My issue is as of today, October 16, 2020 I have not received a registration for the vehicle. That is 125 days since the date of purchase. I initially inquired as to the status of my registration on or about August 4, 2020, about a month after purchase and was told there was an issue with how the insurance company had my name appear on the insurance card. I contacted the insurance company, had the cards corrected to the dealership's satisfaction, and sent them via email to them. I was also told the processing time is taking longer than usual because of the pandemic. On August 26, 2020 I received an automated email inquiring if I was still looking to purchase a vehicle from the dealership. I thought that was ironic since I already had bought a car from them but why not seize the moment and inquire about my registration again explaining my displeasure of the dealership's failure to provide the registration. I received an email and phone call explaining the salesperson spoke to the general manager and they had contacted the vendor they use to process registrations, RegUSA. I was then told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for the registration to be processed, there were delays related to the pandemic especially in New York State, and they offered to send me another temporary registration. On October 15, 2020 I contacted the dealership again and spoke to the salesperson who sold me the vehicle and after I identified myself he asked if I wanted to buy another car. Although I appreciate him remembering me I would have hoped the registration issue would have stood out in his mind more so. I again inquired as to my registration and he quickly put me on hold. A short time later I was told the general manager had sent the registration company an email and would get back to me. I asked him which company they use for the registrations and their phone number. He supplied the company and said I could find their information online. I called RegUSA and left a voicemail but have not received a return phone call. As of October 16, 2020 340PM no call from the dealership either. I have never written a poor or positive review for any company. If you see a vehicle at this dealership you are interested in I hope after reading this review it gives you pause. You should be thinking if they cannot get something as easy as a registration issued for your vehicle then what other processes do they have or do not have that will cause you grief and time out of your day. If you were wondering about New York State DMV and their turnaround time I know several people including those who purchased their vehicle out of state who have their registrations in three to four weeks during this pandemic. The people I have spoken to at the dealership have been apologetic and nice but are either incapable of accomplishing this task or unwilling. From a practical sense all I want is what I paid for, a registration for my vehicle from a company that sold it to me. Is it really that difficult? Do I now have no other recourse other than writing a review in hopes of spurring corrective action from the dealership? read more
