I walked in, picked my car, negotiated the price and left with it. Very smooth transaction. It was a relaxing environment and i never felt pressured.

I recently visited Modern Mazda while looking to upgrade my 2013 Dodge Dart, a car I've owned since its initial release. My wife drives an older Mazda CX-7, and I knew I wanted a vehicle of a similar size. After trying a few other dealerships in the area and not finding the right fit or feeling pressured to buy immediately, I scheduled an appointment to see a CX-50 hybrid at Modern Mazda. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in good hands. I worked with salesman Steve Duffy, who thoroughly showed me the CX-50 hybrid I was interested in, explaining all its features in detail. We went for a quick test drive, and then it was time to do everyone's favorite thing, discuss numbers... Modern Mazda prides itself on a transparent and non-pushy sales approach, and they truly delivered on this promise! This was the most stress-free car buying experience I've ever had. I never felt pressured to make a decision or buy anything I wasn't comfortable with. Steve patiently explained the differences between leasing and financing and presented me with several pricing options. When I wasn't completely satisfied with the initial offers, he asked about my target payment. He then spoke with the sales manager, and they were able to meet my desired price point! I accepted the offer, and the finance process was equally smooth and straightforward (though I unfortunately can't recall the name of the person who assisted me). I can't thank Modern Mazda enough for making the entire process so easy and transparent. I absolutely love my new car and will definitely be a returning customer for future purchase!

The original intent was to look at a Colorado and possibly a Silverado. Chris G was our salesman. He set us up to drive the Colorado we came for. While it looked very good and drove well, it smelled from smoke, which is near impossible to eliminate in an 8 year old vehicle. Another Colorado was on our list but we never drove it because there was obvious rust in places it shouldn't have been. I suggested they look it over again before selling it. We were ready to leave, but Chris being the good salesman he is, asked if we'd like to take a look at the Tahoe that just came in. He said it was in incredible condition and a good deal price-wise. We agreed to take it for a ride and it didn't disappoint. Chris and the whole team at the dealership were very accommodating without being too pushy. The aftermarket warranty was very fairly priced and the whole financial closing was low pressure and quick. We definitely recommend purchasing from Terryville.

In a nutshell I was looking to buy a used car which I found at Terryville Chevrolet and worked with Robert Kulinski to purchase the car. They just got the car in which Robert was clear on and said it would be taken into the shop for diagnoses and service before it was sold. I was comfortable with that and gave him a deposit for the purchase. I received a text from Robert (attached) saying the car went through service and everything was perfect, service up to date. He also sent me their "inspection" report which said the car need windshield wipers. This immediately set off red flags so i called and was assured that the only service issue was a dead battery fault because the car has been sitting. I requested the vehicle be reviewed by my service company Auto-Bon out of Simsbury. The car was dropped off and within 30-min i received a message from them stating there were numerous system faults relating to electrical issues, suspension issues, and several other faults. Also a laundry list of clear indications of a car that was neglected and abused like oil leaks, damaged seats, and other engine related issues, all seen with the naked eye (attached). Clearly what i was told were lies, and to make it worse, the service department was complacent in this by providing an "inspection" report (attached) that clearly says none of these issues which were clearly present on the car. Since I feel transparency is key in exposing business practices that take advantage of people I have attached all the documentation so you can see for your self. Unfortunately, as you will see below I also reached out to the owner, sales manager, and service manager with no response or even an acknowledgement of the issues which tells me this is an acceptable practice at the dealership. I also called the owner who also didn't respond. So clearly there was no "misunderstanding" or as Robert said in a message to me "I think our expectations of a 10 year old car and your expectations are different" no Robert your customers don't expect to be lied too. On a great note, thank you Auto-Bon for helping make sure i didn't make a huge mistake, I really appreciate it. But to Terryville, shame on you, the consumers should be able to trust you, and as a franchise for Chevy you should be embarrassed. I encourage others that are looking for a car to read other reviews here and see the pattern of when an issue like this comes up they don't respond, which clearly demonstrates a lack of accountability on the part of the entire dealership. I put a deposit on this car and was told it had not been to service but it would go in right away. I received the attached report, a text (attached) and a call stating that the car "the car went through perfect, service is up to date, zero issues". This report from your service department lists no issues except windshield wipers. I called the salesman and said, "hey I find that hard to believe that a 2017 AMG has no service issues, no faults, I have owned several" the response was "no nothing except a dead batter fault, and we bought it from some dealer in Fairfield that also checked it" So ultimately these are lies and I 'm glad I spent the money to have it checked out by a third party but now I am incredibly irritated that I spent over $400 to know that your team lied. In today's days and age that is unacceptable, there is no reason to deceive your customers and if this is acceptable by multiple people on your team that begs the question if that is acceptable as an organization.

In that time I've easily spent over $5000 in their shop and never had a complaint. Today I had an appointment for some computer reset work on a couple of dashboard lights--basic stuff. After dropping the keys at the service desk I went into the small showroom and ask the man at the desk--the only person in there--whether he would mind if I sat in a corner and played the mandolin while waiting. He said, "Fine with me." So I sat in the corner and took out the instrument--an antique Gibson--and checked the tuning. I should say here that I am a professional musician. I've played all over the world--this is not to boast, just to say that I was not about to inflict musical mayhem on the staff. However, I had barely started into one tune when I was faced with a waxen-faced man with a grey pompadour, looming over me and barking, "You can't do that here! This is a showroom, not a music hall. People have to work!" Did I mention that I was the only customer at the time? I told him that I'd asked permission from the man at the desk, and he shouted, "You asked the wrong person! I'm the owner!" I asked, "Well is there anyplace private in the building where I might play?" He jerked his thumb at the parking lot and growled, "Out there!" Where it was all of 35 degrees. I said, "Thank you for your kindness and friendliness," and started to pack up the mandolin. He turned around and started for his office, but in a moment I saw him turn back and head for the service area. Aware that something was afoot, I followed him. The service manager had my keys on the desk and was giving me an apologetic shrug. This hair-trigger tyrant had just cancelled my appointment. I collected my keys and drove the forty minutes home, dashboard lights still shining. Whatever one's feelings about the sound of music in an auto showroom. I would suggest that this man's approach to customer service may leave something to be desired. He needs training, or possibly a therapeutic intervention. In any case, I'll certainly not be darkening their doors again, with or without an instrument in hand.

Car VIN: 1GYKPRRL9VZ301014 Timeline: * Aug 6: Blasius Chevrolet/Cadillac sent me their own printed worksheet for a new 2027 Lyriq Premium Luxury (VIN ending 301014): MSRP $69,676, $6,200 discount, $2,000 rebate, selling price $63,476. Their printed lease grid shows $781-811/mo at 39 months / 10,000 miles with $3,000 drive-off. * Aug 7 (texts attached): I confirmed in plain words -- "$3,000 down, then $781 for the next 38 months. No fees, no taxes, nothing else. I walk in, pay $3,000, and take the car away. This is all inclusive." The salesperson replied: "That's right... that is the number," conditioned only on strong credit approval. My credit is strong; credit was never raised as an issue. * Same day, at the dealership's request, I sent driver's license, registration, insurance card, and signed documents, after being told: "just send me your license, registration, and insurance card and I will take the vehicle out of the market for you." They declined to take a deposit. * I wrote, before sending anything: "I am 2 hrs away from your showroom and I don't want surprises after I come." * Before delivery, the dealership demanded $850 per month and more money down. The reasons given: the car hadn't arrived yet, and they had "calculated the residual value wrongly." For anyone unfamiliar: dealers don't calculate residuals -- the bank publishes them monthly and the dealer looks them up. Their own worksheet printed the same 60.0% residual at 24, 36, and 39 months, which real bank residuals never do. Their sheet, their error, confirmed twice in writing. * When I asked them to honor their own quoted terms, the salesperson and sales manager were dismissive. I remain willing to complete the lease at exactly the terms they put in writing. I am filing complaints with the CT DMV Dealers & Repairers Division and the CT Attorney General. Read the screenshots and worksheet and decide for yourself whether this dealership's word is worth it.
