Unfortunately, I have had a bad experience that I feel it's important for any future consigners and/or customers to be made aware of. Last summer I dropped off some items to sell. Not long afterwards I checked my account and discovered I had sold a few of my items. My share of the proceeds came to a total f roughly $37 and some odd cents. I made the drive up to the store to pick up my check as that was how it was explained to me, the store did not mail out checks. I did not mind as I always enjoyed the store and was a good customer as well. However, when I asked for my check I was told there was not one in the "kitty" and that they would leave a message for the owner and she would contact me. Twice more I drove up the hill to the store and it was the story both times. I just now spoke with Shannon (store owner). She validated the fact that there should have been a check for $37 for me but because it had been a year, she had "no way" of giving me the money she owed me now. I am appalled by her response and just cannot grasp how someone can be so dishonest and unethical! When she decides to pay me what she owes me, I will then maybe take my comment down but not until then. Also, there were a few nicer items I delivered that have never been accounted for and when I visited the following month upon dropping them off, the staff was never able to locate them so I'm not sure what possibly could have happened to them nir did I ever received any notification as to whether they sold or were more or less donated.

The shop occupies nearly all of the original Chichizola store that was built in 1877. The building has two feet thick foundation walls and steel doors. It served as the town's first general store. Many years later, the Antonini family purchased the store. They converted part of it into a feed store and the now garden area was a gas station. One of the remaining pumps is still on display but across the street. The post office currently occupies part of the building. Drop on by and take a gander.
