Red cheese enchiladas with beef fajita

Amazing service. There were only 2 waiters & there was never any wait or issue with refills. They were both so welcoming & always helpful. The food was very good and the vibe was so welcoming & fun. We will definitely return again once we come back to SA.

Food is always hot and delicious! Go to plate is the cheese enchiladas. Fresh tortillas with butter! Carne Guisada is also very delicious. Server is always friendly. Very popular in a cute location.

What happened Blanco cafe? Their taco's used to be full. Been a lover of blanco cafe for so many years. But my tacos look like they are on a diet. Or have been for quite sometime and they lost a lot of weight. Service is great. Everyone is very nice. Place is still the same ole spot. Homey and comfy place inside. Just the taco quality took a hit.

They line these seats up outside when it's full inside and you have to wait for a table (or your to-go order)

We usually go here for dinner, but today we went for breakfast. It's the classic hole in the wall with amazing, quick, inexpensive food. My $3 taco was huge. I might be skipping lunch.

When I'm looking for classic San Antonio enchiladas, this is my go-to spot. Every time I've been, they are SLAMMED with a line out the door, but the food always comes out super quick and piping hot. I haven't tried anything other than their cheese enchiladas, but why would I?! This is what they're famous for. I love that it feels like a diner and the ladies working are always so so nice to me. Next time I have out-of-town friends visiting, I want to take them here for the experience!

Wowowow this place is great, popped in bc our car was charging across the street and what a great find. The portions are huge, the staff is SO friendly, the food was amazing. We got the enchiladas verdes, tangy tomatillo sauce, big portion, the barbacoa taco- these tacos are BIG and excellent! The chilaquiles and the egg taco, also fabulous! Would recommend!

Went for Sunday morning breakfast. Only had to wait 20 mins or so and we had 6. Place was packed with a line outside. Nice people working there. Nice old building with raised ceilings inside. coffee good. I got megas plate. delicious beans and flour tortillas. Megas were just eggs and chips. They need to add some peppers and onions. The wife got the barbacoa plate. Very good and a lot. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day.

I had lunch here the other day. Very nice place tucked away in an old part of SA. Very good food, fast service and a friendly staff. Almost reminds me of Gilbert's on the other side of town. I will definitely come back.

Blanco Cafe is amazing! Came here on a Saturday morning at 830 am, and it was packed! Luckily there were a few open tables so we didn't have to wait. I ordered the Carne Guisada, Eggs, and Potatoes plate. It was absolutely amazing! The Flour Tortilla here is absolutely delicious. It is fluffy, fresh, and adds more flavor than your typical tortilla. Grata food, fast and friendly service, and a family-type vibe. Highly recommend for Mexican food enthusiasts!

I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. I wish it was a fluffy whip cream to cut down from all the sweetness. Overall it's still a better tres leches than other places in the area.

Service is fast, place is decently clean for the foot traffic, the servers all look happy and eager to work. I ordered tortilla soup, I usually like it with a cup of rice and avocado like most places serve it. However, I definitely think this is a safe Mexican food restaurant when it comes to not overdoing it with spices and the extra stuff. My soup had a decent amount of chicken. I had a mimosa, loved that they used fresh orange juice. Flour tortillas were delicious! Before heading out you need to have the sweet bread!! So goooodd!

People say when in San Antonio, do like the San Antonian's. Nobody really says that. I mean, I just…read moredid, but I also just made it up. With that being said, let's make up a review. Except I'm not actually making the review up, I've been to the place. Both San Antonio and the restaurant moments away from being reviewed. I'm always down for solid Mexican food. It's always pretty damn good. I mean, at the pure base of things, it's basically the same few ingredients, just different vessels to get it to your mouth. I'm never bad about that. I love transportation. Mi Tierra was a pretty great looking place. Plenty of space, a nice outside waiting area, plus a bakery. I have never been to a place with a bakery that I didn't like. It seemed like a very authentic place, and that's coming from a resident of Michigan. A resident that eats Taco Bell. A resident who eats Taco Bell and think's THAT'S authentic Mexican. The first thing I noticed was that this place did not seem to serve burritos. Not a marker really for me, but it was something I've never came across before. I also thought that you were stuck ordering enchiladas or tacos in a meal type of setting. Upon further questioning, you can order a la cart. That was a relief. I ended up ordering the enchiladas Verdes because sometimes I ignore my color palate and go for green. And because I can't just stop eating one form of meat, cheese, and sauce, I ordered a taco. Actually, I just ordered a taco because I wanted a dryer enchilada. Or did I order the enchiladas because I wanted a wetter taco...I don't know anymore. Anywho, I ground beef, American style taco. Now, I've always been a big fan of chips and salsa. Some salsa hits, some miss. Some salsa is pureed and is basically red water. Some salsa is just a full tomato. I like my salsa like I like my orange juice. With extra calcium. Wait. Mild pulp. That's it. This salsa pretty much hit those notes. Had good flavor and a little spice left to linger. The main course came out and everything looked delicious. Green enchiladas looked exactly like I expected. However, it took me a moment to realize I was not looking at a burrito...but instead, my taco. It was served a peculiar way. wrapped, seam down, with a little bit of the meat on top, pico and lettuce on the outside, next to it. It was a burrito peacocking as a taco. I've never seem this display before, and I have been to many Taco Bell and non-Taco Bell restaurants. The taste was pretty good, though. All the taco flavor in a burrito jacket. The enchiladas were pretty decent, too. Everything tasted like it had all the ingredients and that they were in all the right spots. No doubt about it, I was full after e

Both my wife and I ordered breakfast plates--hers was the chorizo and egg and mine, huevos rancheros. The restaurant was empty besides one diner sitting outside with her dog and one family inside which should have been a red flag to stay away. My chorizo and potatoes were cold and my beans were not hot either. This was not like it had cooled down--cold. The ranchero sauce looked bad and all of the food on my plate had no flavor, no seasoning, literally no effort whatsoever. I had a bug crawl across my hand while we were there as well. She had the issue with her plate, food was not even warm. The tortillas were hot and tasted good so that was how I warmed up my food. Our waiter also decided that he would cross the street to go speak to a woman at the little outdoor patio restaurant across the street on the corner. Not kidding, he was there for at least five or ten minutes just talking to her. I have always wanted to try Tito's and wanted something new to us but I guarantee there is no way we will ever go back.
