I can't comment on the quality of this company's work but I can say they are a very unprofessional company when it comes to communication. I requested an estimate to repair some damaged wood flooring caused by a problem tenant. I emailed all the pictures and my contact info as I was instructed and was told I would hear back from someone in a couple days. I allowed extra time just because I was asking for an estimate near Memorial Day. After nearly three weeks I still do not have an estimate! I even sent two follow up emails asking for a status with no response. This company even has my cell phone and home address and I've received no phone calls or any paperwork in the mail. I'm glad I found out what kind of company this is before letting them into my home. read more

Do NOT even consider doing business with Blakely's. I failed to research this company before purchasing carpet from them. The entire process was a complete nightmare. They installed the wrong carpet, then left my house torn apart for almost two weeks, barely offered an apology, and the only reason things got corrected was because I had to call and hound them daily to get them to make things right. The staff is rude and completely unprofessional. I paid a lot of money and was never anything but nice, yet they were the ones that made the mistakes and in every interaction they had an attitude with me. Lesson learned, I would never recommend this company to anyone! read more

Blakely's is my go-to company for carpet. I have had positive experiences with their store in Merchant's square in Carmel, IN. I would highly recommend them to anyone! They replaced carpet in my finished basement after it flooded and installed a carpet runner on the staircase in my front hallway. They also helped me design and order a custom carpet for my dining room (which is an odd size.) They have a great selection and their prices beat the big box stores (surprisingly!) By working with them directly after the flood (instead of through a restoration service) I was able to order and afford a better quality of carpet and pad. The custom rug is beautiful and fits my home perfectly! Their installers are very professional and did a great job. I especially like working with Jennifer - she provides great customer service! I'm sorry to see others may not have had a positive experience - but all of my interactions with them have been great. read more

All I can say is wow! We put in a new theatre in our home and was super excited to get it finished and had Blakely put in the carpet. I came home from work and couldnt believe what I saw. The baseboards were damaged, carpet joints had gaps, there was a gap in a corner and there was even damage up like three feet up the wall. This was a brand new room these guys tore up. To make matters worse, when we called, they didn't even apologize and just stated "well these guys have been working for us for a long time!" All I can say is wow! I chose Blakleys because of their good reputation. The material I chose was true sheet linoleum -not vinyl-for my kitchen. The installers (Sam and brother) took the time on the floor prep which produced beautiful results-my floor was not level so it was a challenge. I love it!!! I had a VERY positive experience with Blakley's. When we had a final walkthrough before they were to install new vinyl flooring, we discovered some foundation issues with our house. Blakely's was very, very flexible and let us push back the install date to accommodate us. I had to wait 6 months to get the foundation work done because we were having a baby and we had to get through the winter. Blakley's was very understanding of our situation and communicated with us throughout the process. My phone calls were returned and everyone I dealt with was fantastic. Sam, the installation man, was very courteous, knowledgeable, and really took pride in his work. Although you will pay more with Blakley's, it is all worth it. The customer service is stellar, the expertise of the installer(s) is apparent, and the finished product is high quality. We built a new custom home in 2014 and our builder recommended Blakely's. We had purchased flooring in the past but not nearly this much so we went with the recommendation. Our overall experience was horrible. We had several issues, many that are still not resolved. The salesperson was rude and bowed out of the picture quickly after we began to have issues. Our problems are due to a bad original installation by one of Blakely's subcontractors. We continue to battle with them to fix the problems and they continue to be rude and not willing to make things right. I wish we could go back a few months and select a different flooring company!! This was the very worst part of our new home construction and it continues... I could go on and on... Please beware, they will tell you otherwise but they are not a service oriented company! read more
