Dr. Eckert and his staff are great, don't listen to any of the negative reviews. I would recommend him for extractions with no hesitation.

Belmont Dental Group was the worst dental experience I've ever had. I chose this dental office…read morebecause of the overwhelming positive Google reviews, but that turned out to be very deceiving! I suspect they generate loads of fake positive reviews to maintain a high rating. My tooth had been bleeding, so I went there for a deep cleaning. Raycka was the most brutal and careless hygienist I have ever encountered. She does anesthesia in an extremely painful way. At my second appointment, I specifically asked her to be gentle and to use numbing gel if possible. She refused and then gave me anesthesia in an even more painful manner, causing me to spasm. I tried to stop her, but she rejected me again and kept pushing the needle deeper. I could even feel the needle hitting my jawbone, and I nearly passed out during the process. After the cleaning, my gums and jaw were so badly hurt that I had a fever for two consecutive days. What made the experience even worse was the billing part. Before I accepted the service, I called at least twice to confirm if I were in network. The receptionist confirmed that I was in-network. That was a complete lie! I later received a $1,000 bill. X-rays, the doctor's examination, and other services that should have been covered by insurance were charged to me. My wife, who has the same insurance, had an in-network deep cleaning in Waltham and only paid $200. This is absolutely outrageous. I tried calling to negotiate the bill, but their attitude was extremely rude. They insisted the misunderstanding was my fault. Why would you tell me I was in-network when I clearly was not? My decision to receive treatment was based entirely on what I was told. You lied to me and then charged me for it. If I knew I was out-of-network beforehand, I would never have chosen to get my cleaning done here! Horrible cleaning experience and dishonest billing practices. I advise everyone to avoid this dental group. It is a total rip-off.

And that's not to say anything about the people that have been doing this for so long but changing the dynamic and the dentist office actually doesn't make it so terrible to want to go to. I'm in my 40s and thought I was going to be in for a terrible time since I waited so long to get my wisdom teeth taken care of. Dr. Feldman and her team are great. Her office is super responsive and I didn't have to wait long for the surgery. Her new space in Arlington is beautiful. The procedure itself was a BREEZE. I opted to be completely sedated, so all I experienced was walking in, having a nice chat with the doctor, passing out, and waking up (happily?) with four fewer teeth. The worst part of the experience was the mouth gauze (ugh, gag), but I was able to ditch that pretty soon after I got home. BUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE: I work in a medical setting, and I know that drug protocols and pain control can make or break the immediate post-op experience for a patient. Homegirl has her drugs dialed in. I was *literally* pain free for the first 48 hours after the procedure. I had to remind myself to take ibuprofen regularly to keep the inflammation down, because I didn't need it for pain right away. YES, OF COURSE, it's not comfortable to have four bleeding holes in your mouth. But it's a heck of a lot more pleasant when the worst part of your recovery is pain free, and you only start to experience the discomfort when you're over the hump. Dr. Feldman takes what should be a terrible and traumatizing experience and turns it into something that's extremely manageable. I hope I never see her again, and I am also recommending her to everyone who has also procrastinated their dental care.

I searched for the…read moreperfect orthodontist for almost 5 years and I'm beyond happy that I found Dr. Melita right when I was about to give up. The reason for my hesitation was the multiple crowns (one being very visible) in my mouth along with the crowding issue I had. I am opposed to pulling healthy teeth out to make space without first trying to make it work with the existing space. Not even once did Dr. Melita try to change my mind about this nor even later during the treatment did she bring this up ever. She respected it wholeheartedly that I could feel it every time we would talk about next steps in making space to move the teeth around. Another reason why she is be the best Orthodontist to me is is that she worked with my crown so well that I never thought it would look this good to be honest. During the treatment, she allowed for me to go to my dentist to get a temporary crown to reflect the actual position of my teeth to make sure she gets them to the actual positions they need to be as close as possible. Not even once during the treatment have I felt rushed. It felt as if Dr. Melita was giving me the care that she would actually give to her own self. I don't know how I can actually convince anyone via words without knowing me to go and at least have a chat with Dr. Melita but I can tell you this much; I became a bride with braces as I was THAT happy and comfortable with them. I had the option to remove them for the wedding but didn't even bother. And it was Dr. Melita who offered to take them off so I could have my pictures without braces. I can't imagine a single orthodontist ever offering that. Little things matter along with the major PART of getting beautiful results. I took my braces off almost 3 months ago and still waiting to get my permanent crown put on. During this process I'm still in touch with Dr. Melita's office frequently and even after finishing the treatment you must see how much they still care for you to make sure you get on the schedule as soon as possible. I never laughed or smiled as genuinely as I do now and I can't thank enough to Dr. Melita and everyone in her office for making it happen. You make all the waiting worthwhile.

Dr. Eilers is extremely friendly and compassionate. She never tries to upsell you or make you think you need more work or some kind of treatment you don't, unlike other dentists these days. Dr. Eilers has many, many years of experience and certainly knows what she's doing, rest assured. The office staff is also phenomenal... truly kind individuals who proactively reach out to you to make sure you get a time slot since Dr. Eilers does book far out (we aren't the only people who want to see her and know she's great!) Dr. Eilers won't ruin your teeth, she'll help you maintain great oral health. Stay on top of your 6 month cleanings and any cavities and you'll have amazing teeth for life. I remember as a very small child in my dentist's office there was a sign that said "be true to your teeth or they'll be false to you" and now as an adult I understand this saying so much more than ever before. I really want to preserve my teeth and keep them in the best shape possible. This office is truly one in a million. The ONLY and I mean only negative is the parking but you can't have it ALL, and that isn't a deterrent, obviously. This office is also not handicap accessible but that's out of their control also. Lastly, she doesn't prescribe 800mg ibuprofen only 600mg ibuprofen, which is kind of friggin weird to be honest (REALLY weird to be honest actually), considering I, and anyone, can just go buy it at any drugstore. It's an over the counter med and not like it's a narcotic but you'd think it was from the way she prescribes.... overkill if you ask me. I'm pretty sure I've covered it all at this point. This office meets all of my needs and Dr. Eilers is simply an honest, smart woman who is a great dentist and genuinely cares for her patients. Can't ask for more than that! (And if you need more ibuprofen just go to your primary care and they'll gladly write you 800's!)

I came to the office for an extraction, and both the consult and actual procedure were handled professionally and efficiently. The doc has an excellent chairside manner, is great with administering anesthetic (often the most painful part of the job), and is very consultative and thorough pre- and post-procedure, so that no surprises occur. And there is community, comforting vibe to the operation that you just will find at corporate or even larger practices. I strongly recommend this practice and Dr. Eilers.
