Courteous, professional and caring. The Group is great. Dr. Nager is outstanding! He puts the "care" in healthcare.

I have gone to this office a few times and the doctors & staff were really on top of things! I…read moreliked the place and the care I received. My whole family has been regular patients in this place. Recently, we received a very rude reminder about dental cleaning and a threatening message that if we don't schedule our last cleaning for the fiscal year, our account will be deactivated! What is that supposed to mean? I don't understand what kind of business this place is running if they think these kind of messages are going to bring more clients?! Quite the opposite! It is unheard of hygiene appointments to be required so patients can keep their account active! Usually, dental facilities and private offices send friendly reminders for the patients to take advantage of a covered by insurance dental cleaning since there are only 2 per year. The manager needs to really apologize to all patients who received this kind of unpleasant email or text message as this is really unprofessional and totally unacceptable! After all, there are at least 30 other dental offices in the areas near by Newton Corner, Watertown, Brighton and Waltham. This kind of treatment of the patients would completely drive them away! Unbelievable!!!

Last year, I moved from CO to MA. Right before I left CO, I chipped my front tooth and went to see…read moremy regular dentist. He advised that the tooth had been repaired several times before and would need a crown. Because I was leaving state soon, he recommended that I find a new dentist in MA to do the work. Dr. Stokowski was a short walk from where I was staying at the time, and seemed as good of a dentist as any. Boy, was I wrong! First off, when I stopped by to make the appointment, I gave them a copy of my insurance card with the dental info on the back. The receptionist was rude, but I chalked it up to a bad day. I went in later for the appointment, and even though his website says his office is "state of the art", his equipment was new, literally, in the 1950's. I told him what my previous dentist had recommended and asked for a crown. He inspected the tooth, and said he was just going to do a large filling. He seemed to think that was all I needed, so I agreed, against my better judgement. He did the work, and I was numb and comfortable enough, until he dropped the drill on the floor, picked it up, and went to put it right back into my mouth. No way. After he cleaned it up, he finished the work, and I went to the receptionist to check out. She asked me if I had a dedicated dental insurance card, and I told her no, our insurance does not issue one. She asked me to get a phone number and I explained it is listed on the back of the medical ID card I gave her. She insisted that I call and get her more information. I went home, and within 15 minutes was on the phone getting her the information she had asked for. I hung up with the insurance, called her back, and proceeded to give her the information. She refused to take it by phone, insisting that I write it down, and bring it back to her. I hung up and refused to make the trek back just because she couldn't lift a pen. I then went into the bathroom to inspect the work that had been done in my mouth. The filling was several shades darker then the rest of my teeth! Like VERY noticeably darker. I was not happy. Not too long later, I got a bill from the office demanding that I pay for the full amount. I wrote the insurance information on it, and sent it back. I got three more bills, before they finally billed the insurance, and then the next bill included a copy of the denial letter and asked for a full payment. The reason given on the insurance denial letter? "Practitioner has not provided this office with enough information to determine necessity of procedures." I circled this, wrote "DO YOUR JOB" on the bill, and sent it back. It being now months later, and having finally been able to move into our new home, I found a permanent dentist in our new home town. I scheduled cleanings for the whole family, and when it came to my turn, the dentist mentioned how much darker the tooth was than the others, and then proceeds to tell me that it's going to have to have a crown done because there is a cavity under it. Less than one year after I had it done in Strokowski's office, and now I have to pay for the filling AND the crown I had originally asked for. And I FINALLY got a bill yesterday showing that they got my insurance squared away. At this point, however, I am not sure I want to pay for the "work" they did. In summary, the office was antiquated, the dentist wanted to put dirty tools in my mouth, the receptionist was very rude every time I tried to work with her, and they don't want to be bothered with your insurance. Would I recommend this dentist to someone else? Not even my worst enemies. There's thousands of better dentists and my recommendation to you is to find one.

When I do, it is always an easy experience and I feel I am in good hands. Mostly, I feel he really does care about his patients. The experience with Dr. Beylin and my root canal, was as good as can be expected when you are having nerves pulled out of your head :) - I was made to feel comfortable and safe! Highly recommend

I never felt that my emotional trauma was taken seriously, and after reviewing my account history,…read moreit is obvious my dental PTSD was indeed ignored and never taken seriously. Things came to a head when I wrote an email to the office manager saying I had an unsettling and chaotic appointment, detailing what transpired. The response I received was shocking and infantilizing. There were many ways she could have responded or even apologized, but instead, my complaint was blamed on my PERSONAL CHALLENGES, yes, she wrote PERSONAL CHALLENGES! She ignored most of what I wrote, like how I was still upset that the last person who took X-rays left me with cuts and sores in my mouth for weeks, how I should not have paid for the X-rays- ZERO acknowledgement of this issue. I waited a few weeks to look at my records because I was still upset from our email exchange but now after reading the notes in my records, I am sick to my stomach. Exact notes including the soooooo and sooo from the person who cleaned my teeth. 6/16/20 -pt soooooo anxious about me cleaning her teeth today, she is sooo afraid of #8 falling out. Not noted, #8 (new tooth) fell out TWO TIMES. Yes, I was a hot mess (still am) with anxiety because of the tooth falling out TWO TIMES. 6/17/21- Patient's anxiety is very irrational due to having had an accident when she was 6 years old. WRONG and inaccurate - I was in the SIXTH grade (not 6 years old), I fell and knocked my teeth out while ice skating. It was during this time that my childhood dentist, Dr. Lucia of Lynn, MA, abused me while under sedation and was eventually arrested for insurance fraud. His shoddy and negligent work led to years of ongoing dental issues, which will continue for the rest of my life. I shared this information. I shared again and again that ANYONE in my mouth causes me anxiety. Even my last note is wrong. 2/29/25- patient NO SHOW. Not noted: 11/12/24 - I left this appointment in tears. I did not make or confirm my next appointment. I was devastated that I had a cracked crown and angry that the dentist did not discuss my gums after having had gum surgery in August. I may not have had a voice when I was in the SIXTH grade, but I have a voice now.
