I am a huge fan of Dr. Rusnock. After being reminded repeatedly for 2 years by my dentist that my…read moregums were receding, I finally bit the bullet and went to Dr. Rusnock for a consultation. I was already hesitant because he was out of network with my insurance, but I decided to go to the consultation, at the very least, since he was so highly recommended. I am so glad I did. Within 30 minutes of extremely detailed explanation, full of laid out options and risks, I knew I wanted him to be the one to perform my gum grafts. I left feeling well informed about what I needed, what to expect, and how to proceed. I didn't feel pressured and he made sure I clearly understood what I was getting myself into. I scheduled my gum graft for a month out and sat in my anxiety as the day approached. As per many occasions in life, the event itself was way quicker and simpler than built up in my head. Dr. Rusnock talked me through the whole process before starting and got to numbing me up as soon as I was ready. Once that was taken care of, he quickly got to work and gave me updates as he went (we're about halfway done, only one step left, etc.) with the gum graft process taking only about a half hour. Once done, he gave me a few last reminders and I scheduled my follow up. Everyone in the office was extremely friendly, empathetic, and answered all my silly questions (so when can I eat a steak?) and encouraged me to reach out if I needed help. Luckily, I didn't, but it was nice to feel like I could reach out and get support if I needed it. As I walked out, I couldn't believe I'd walked into his office less than an hour before. At this point, I'm not even entirely healed yet and still have one more follow up scheduled but I couldn't wait to write this review to share my experience and recommend his office. I know exactly who I'm going to for my next gum graft. If you're in need of a great periodontist who is friendly, well informed, and really funny, this is where you want to go!

Dr. Rusnock is the best periodontist I've seen, and I have seen MANY in my sad gum life.. He is…read moreknowledgeable (more than the rest) and explains why he does what he does, which surprisingly is hard to find! He makes sure you understand the reason behind the procedures and that really helps. He's done 1 gum graft on me and the difference from what he did versus what others have done on my gums is night and day. I already know I want him to perform all my other gum grafts. The procedure itself was quick and easy, I couldn't wait to go for the next appointment.. Not exaggerating either. Peggy at the front is so friendly and helpful also, just a positive, welcoming environment all in all. This was the best recommendation I've gotten from my Dentist. (Porter Family Dental)

My wife and I have been patients since 2004. We have had various work (crowns, root canals,…read morecavities filled) done on our teeth as well as annual cleanings. He's an exceptional dentist, who carefully monitors your teeth, and is also professional and gentle. His office is always friendly, efficient, and helpful in accommodating your needs.

Had to have one of my teeth extracted and Dr. Tian told me the best thing to do was to file down…read morethe two teeth on either side of it and get a bridge (sort of like partial dentures). To me that meant basically losing another two teeth. Naturally, I hated this idea and asked what else could be done. That pretty smile of his disappeared real fast when I started asking questions about my care. He told me it was the best and cheapest way, but I just needed to know what all my options were and he wasn't having it. I know little about dentistry and have many questions about what I'm getting myself into. He didn't like this at all and started to make me feel really uncomfortable. I didn't want continue to see someone I didn't trust to give me all the information I needed in making a very serious decision and continued my search for another dentist. I called Dr. Tian's office ahead of time to get my xrays (a $45 copying fee... I don't know why, they're my xrays), but when I got there I had to wait almost an hour to get them. He slid them across the front desk table without a smile or a look in the eye or much of an acknowledgement at all and quickly walked away. The dentist I saw afterwards, said the bridge is the most economical, but it's the worst since two teeth had to filed down. That makes more sense to me.
