I told them early on that I was afraid of dentists and they took care to explain the procedures to me and check in on me throughout my time in the dental chair (both of which helped quite a lot). They also had good availability and were able to reschedule based on any changes in my own schedule. Their care and cleaning during my follow up visits was also top notch. On time, quick and efficient. Christina manages to do thorough cleaning using a combination of ultrasonic water and traditional scraping utensils. I assume they're clean when she says she's done. She also routinely advises me what areas I should pay special attention to and how I might vary my flossing or brushing techniques to continue to achieve good gum, health, and tooth cleanliness from plaque. Dr. Schrott was friendly, straightforward and set me at ease about how much discomfort to expect after the procedure. Use of the "bandage" that he has people wear to protect sensitive areas that have been worked turned out to be extremely successful in term of reducing and managing my post-surgical comfort. He was very good about explaining more about what the procedure was, why it was necessary, its limitations and how it would be carried out. My only critique of his practice is that the waiting room is much too small. Although I did not "price shop", the procedure seemed relatively expensive, even with insurance footing some portion of the bill. However, I think it was worth the price given Dr. Schrott's competence, experience, "bedside manner," and the excellent outcome. read more

Must be my 5th or 6th visit to this office for periodontal surgery, post-op and cleaning. Always an excellent experience. I feel well informed, cared for emotionally and physically and listened to for my concerns and questions. My most recent experience was for a cleaning. The hygienist was extremely attentive to every need, from making sure to give me some breaks during the process and reminding me to breathe, watching for signs of tension and stress. She was focused on my well being as well as her task of cleaning my tartar infested mouth! One couldn't ask for more. I went to Dr Schrott for a front tooth implant that also included the extraction, bone and gum graft. He has worked with me and my difficult teeth, even referring me to an exceptional endodontist when he thought that I may not need implants because I am so much younger than his general clientele, and may not need to go to such a drastic measure.
