We worked with him to sell our Arlington condo and had a great offer within days of listing. Tom made the entire process easy. He provided low-cost, high-value add ways for us to prep the property for sale, did a wonderful job with photography and advertising, and helped us negotiate a great offer. He was diligent in resolving any speed bumps that came during the "under contract' phase and worked tirelessly to ensure that the deal closed when planned. We didn't want to give it up, so she had her lawyer threaten us with being sued. Our own agent was shocked to say the least because she was a realtor and this was dishonest. She did offer a few other properties instead, a bait and switch tactic. We countered and decided after her second threat to be the bigger party and cancel the contract. She did pay our expenses, but we were on a deadline to purchase a rental property after selling one. She wasted our time and caused us major distress. Be wary of this woman. She may have been great previously, but this was a recent problem in the summer of 2024.

While Margaretha may not have been perfect, it often felt like she was! As good as she was with listing my home, she was even better finding my next spot. In my case, I felt like she saved me from making big mistakes and purchasing someone else's headache. Don't hesitate. Call Margaretha for either a listing or purchase. The work was completed in four days. Each day the installers left the area clean and neat. The workmanship was top notch. The moisture system behind the tile seems to be a great product and really more important than the cosmetic aspect of the project. While GNA was more expensive we felt it was definitely worth it. Our neighbor had their bathroom done by another company. The project was started two weeks before ours and now one week after ours was completed they still don't have running water in shower and doors are not installed. Needless to say we are very happy and recommend GNA to everyone.

I got their flyer posted to my door. I called Jorge about half hour after he posted the flyer to…read moreask about the $95 gutter cleaning. He asked if I have a big house, I said I wouldn't say my house is big, but definitely two stories high. I said he was just in the neighborhood to post flyers, so he should have an idea of the size of the houses in my neighborhood. He then said $200. I asked what the $95 covered and he did not give me an answer. Not that I want to low-ball the price, but it's definitely wrong for them to advertise $95 when they were going to charge more than 2X, or they shouldn't be posting the flyers in my neighborhood if the $95 is not applicable to the size of the house. Jorge then said $180 and he would come the next day (Tuesday). I said it would be forecast to snow/rain on Tuesday, whether he could do it later in the afternoon the same day (Monday). He then said it'd be $200 if he "needed to" return to the neighborhood. I told him to come on Tuesday. He said he would be here at 9 am. On Tuesday morning at around 8 am, I texted Jorge to see if he planned to take a look at the gutters, and that the snow had not melted. He did not respond to me until after 11 am saying he would stop by in the afternoon to take a look. He never came. He never communicated when he would come. On Wednesday morning he showed up unannounced when I went to a medical appointment. He then called me saying I wasn't home. I told him I had an appointment and he never told me he would come on Wednesday. He asked if he could come in the afternoon. I told him as long as he could finish before 3 pm then that'd be fine, since I had to go to another appointment. He said he had two people so it would be done quickly. Sure it was done quickly..... 15 mins of blowing stuff off the gutters, and some sales pitch saying I should get gutter guards on the lower level ones (we have guards on the second story) and repainting my chimney. The so-called cleaning is nothing more than using a leaf blower to blow stuff away. Didn't even touch the downspouts as advertised. Jorge didn't do anything besides taking pictures and tried to sell me more services. He had a younger guy do all the hard work. For the gutters that have guards on, the younger guy didn't even remove the guards to actually "clean" the gutters.... Oh yes, I was watching them on my cameras. When I handed Jorge the check, I reiterated the importance of not false-advertising. He still gave me the run-around saying that $95 was for smaller houses, or he didn't read the flyer before posting them on everyone's door. Final words: NOT recommended. I haven't used them for other services, but this experience alone was enough that if I could give 0 stars, I would.

And argued only one coat of sealant is needed. However, he charged me $500 extra for the 2nd coat of sealant. Uneven paint job, missed spots, signs of only one coat of paint, planks not nailed down per contract, and with only one rain day (a day after he claimed it's done) the paint has already gotten washed away.

I sent him a follow-up email with a bullet list of the jobs. 10 days passed and then I got the bill. I was surprised. Rick sent two guys and they were there for three hours. So the four bullet points I listed was equivalent to *6* man hours worth of work? Here's what I requested: *master bathroom toilet taking a long time to fill up (they replaced the tower and flapper and also replaced a flapper in another bathroom) *small water stain on master bedroom ceiling - find out if it is an active or old leak, prime and paint (they went in the attic and looked around. They painted over the stain but it didn't match and the renter had to repaint after they were done) *small water stain on ceiling in foyer above stairs - old leak, prime and paint (They painted over the stain but it didn't match and the renter had to repaint after they were done) *repair drywall in master bedroom closet where shelving fell down (patch up holes and paint) They also caulked 6-8 feet of crown molding (that was not on my list and even the renter said not to do it). All for $395. Still searching for a handyman....too expensive for such minor repairs and does not seem necessary for two guys to be there for 3 hours.

Anyway, we bought a house, and things started to slowly fall apart. First, the latch on the front door broke. Rick sent a guy to our house to evaluate it free of charge. He told us the parts we needed to order, and came back later to install it for a very reasonable rate. A month or two later, a different part of a different door broke, the same night our garbage disposal decided to die on us. I called up Rick again the next morning, and within a few hours a very nice guy was at our house, unscrewing the door handle to fix it. He jumped right over to the garbage disposal, and knocked that out quickly too. He even had time to look at my sad little door bell. He said he could fix it, but offered me a cheap alternative and showed me how to fix it myself with a part from Home Depot. He was here for a good 45 minutes and the cost was only $50 (probably because it required no parts, but still, I was thrilled!) He even took the time to love on my dog :) Everyone I've talked to at the company has been polite, respectful, and helpful. I don't feel like they've taken advantage of me (a young, clueless woman) at all, rather they've really worked to build a good reputation with me. I know when I have bigger jobs I'll be calling them again.
