I really hesitate writing this review. Negative reviews are not fun to write. but it's to the point…read morewhere I can't even get a response from this company / Ben. And I feel that my experience could help others. I Hired Ben to refinish my hardwood floors and expand my pantry. It was supposed to be completed in 2 weeks. It has now been over 1 month and neither project is complete and I haven't gotten a response in about a week. Before hiring Ben he was super responsive. I thought he was going to be great, told me everything could be done within 2 weeks before I moved into my new home. The flooring guys came the next day and did a great job, but the job is still incomplete. The risers on my stairs are not painted, my pickets/ balusters are a mess. The pantry has no shelves or doors. It takes 4-6 days to even to get a response from Ben. The pictures speak louder than words.

Floors look ok and the designer was fine, but the installation was frustrating. They scratched the…read morefloor in a few places moving furniture, they didn't attach all of the trim along the baseboards so every now and then one will get kicked and you realize it's just sitting there. They were scheduled to install over a few days and on the second to last day it was clear they were rushing so they could avoid coming back. They also cracked my toilet and then replaced it without even telling me until after. They didn't install it right and I needed to install new hardware in it to stop it from running. Not to mention I would have liked to pick it myself or had a say in the matter... The one they picked is a bit long for that tiny bathroom. They also left a lot of my furniture on my porch when they left, so we had to move things back ourselves. They also left their tools and stuff in the room where we keep our dog which was annoying, I had set aside a room for them to use for that purpose but they just left it wherever. Also, I had fully prepared the ground floor first yet they arrived and insisted on starting upstairs for no real reason, so I had to hurry and clean it up while they shoved all of our furniture info our bedroom. We had to sleep on the couch that night because they covered our bed in things from other rooms, which probably could have been avoided. Oh, and in another bathroom they left the toilet wobbling- they came back and fixed that though after I complained. Probably the most frustrating thing is that I was talked into this flooring for the dog's room that they call "cortex" I think. There's nothing really wrong with it though I noticed it's torn in one place already. It's basically linoleum. I wanted a nice faux-tile and while I don't hate it I feel like the stuff Luna was offering was nicer- and cheaper. In addition, Luna had said they would remove the old floor before installing(which makes sense) but I guess I didn't ask surface about that because I assumed it was the standard way to do it. Well, these guys installed the new floor right on top of the old gross one. When I asked about that the designer basically told me that it was legal or up to code or something. In the end I wish I had used Luna for the vinyl at the very least, and maybe someone else for the hardwood but the end result is fine. The floors look good, though they scratch more easily than I'd been told to expect. I'd say get a quote from these guys and if it's much less go for it, but if the installers mess something up definitely complain and get them to fix it. Oh and they cracked the cabinet next to my dishwasher, and messed up my closet doors- like they took them off and then couldn't get them on right so they just left them, we had to fix that.

I built a home with Richmond American and upgraded the floors. The company they used was executive…read morefloors. I know when the builder had a few boards replaced that had been damaged during the construction process by other contractors they called them and while I was home they came in and very neatly replaced a few boards. I was skeptical at first, thinking that they would not match, or fit correctly, but 7 years later there has never been an issue with the repairs and even I can't find them to point out. I had my whole house painted and the painters on the last day damaged my floor with an aluminum ladder and scratched it 1/4" deep in multiple places in my entryway. I had the original floor info from the builder but wasn't sure who to call. I asked the builder for the floor installers name, and they told me "executive floors" and sent my info to them. A few minutes later Margie called and arranged an estimate, and for a few hundred dollars my floor damage was replaced by an clean and diligent working craftsman. The repair looks amazing, the repair man was prompt, on time, and left the area cleaner than when he arrived. If you want new floors, or to repair your existing floors I recommend you call Margie at executive floors in Manassas Va, and I'm sure you won't regret it

Ian returned my call promptly and he was both incredibly friendly and very helpful in filling in the pricing gaps that the builder's sales rep had left empty in their pricing. I would absolutely contact Executive Floors in the future for any flooring needs.
