Detailed Summary of My Experience: I contacted Jim initially just to get an estimate for finishing my basement, which was in a state that needed major work because the walls were made of cinderblock and the floors were complete concrete; it was a space that was probably best used for storage and I would not call it "comfortably livable." Jim arrived quickly for an estimate and helped me explore the possibilities of the space, even going so far as to note what would be difficult or expensive to pull off. Within days he provided an estimate for the job, which I found out during the process was a major ordeal involving many phases and individuals, so I'm impressed he was able to produce a price so quickly (and in the end it was an accurate price). I signed Jim up for the job because of his straightforward and pleasant attitude. In the weeks and months that followed (this was a major job, I want to note), Jim gave me frequent updates about what workers I could expect to come by and when/how-long they would be there. Every person who came onto the property was skilled and good about communicating what they would be working on, especially when they had questions about the possibilities of the space. Jim also handled all of the work involving the permits and he worked with the county to ensure everything was up to code. He also alerted me any time there was a change in plans or if there was a possibility of delay. Given how involved this basement-finish job was, there were plenty of opportunities for major hurdles, but the project was still completed in a timely manner, and it was always clear to me what was going on, what would happen next, etc. The final product is everything I could've wanted. Jim made efficient use of the space to make as much of it "comfortably livable" as possible. Even the water heater and HVAC unit were relocated with no diminishment in functionality just for the sake of making the basement as good as it could possibly be. I'm very pleased with the additional space my family has been given, and there isn't a single rough edge in the room. CON: Well, when I decided to order my cabinets, Bud was on vacation and the other guy couldn't take my order. Then the cabinets took longer than a 3-day delivery because of the day I ended up ordering it on. The cabinets also arrived late on delivery day. Bud told me there was traffic. The guys end up telling me it was because they were short staff. I love honesty....no need to lie. So, my contractors ended up waiting around for 3 hours...not fair to them. PRO: Bud tried to make it up to me. A couple of pieces did not come in and I ended up needing an additional filler that he did not charge me for. I also ended up having to order another filler and that came in a timely manner and I picked it up from their showroom. Overall good experience, just need to tighten up ordering and delivery.

It's rare to find someone who would rather help you for free over the phone than to have you spend money if possible. That speaks volumes about Chris. After removal of the branch and resulting debris by a tree company, I asked my insurance agent for a recommendation for reconstruction and restoration. She recommended Capezio Contractors, Inc. and I am very pleased that she did! After a visit by a Capezio estimater, a structural engineer visited the site, and a plan for the repairs was submitted and approved by my insurance company. The job is now complete and I am very impressed by the work Capezio contracted and oversaw. Restoration required a new roof, deck repairs, a new carport and extensive repairs to the exterior and interior of the house including a new roof, replacing all the exterior siding, rebuilding the deck, painting, as well as the installation of a double sliding glass door, some new screens and sanding and varnishing hard wood floors. There was quite a parade of workers - and they all were hard working, experienced people who knew what they what they were doing. They cleaned up every day and also helped move my furniture back to the rooms where they belonged. John, a construction project manager with Capezio, kept me informed of the progress, and the step by step repairs, as well as the country required electrical, framing, insulation inspections. I chose to stay in my house during the reconstruction and repairs. I am very pleased with the way things went and would definitely recommend Capezio Contractors, Inc. to anyone who needs their services.
