We had a fantastic experience with Rapid Response Restoration. Last fall, we experienced an…read moreemergency plumbing failure that lead to our finished basement floor being dug up to conduct the repairs. Our insurance made us whole on the plumbing work, but fought us on restoring our basement back to its previous finished state. This is where Rapid Response came in. After reaching out to Rapid Response and hearing our situation, Daryl reassured us this is their speciality and they will work with our insurance. From there, Rapid Response took this nightmare off our hands and communicated clearly through the entire process. Daryl was on the case and received approval from insurance to replace our entire floor. Seth and team worked quickly and did a fantastic job. Becky and her guys arrived promptly every day to complete the work, kept us informed of the status of our project at all times, and caused minimal impact to our daily life. We were even able to easily maintain our work schedules while the repair work happened. We could not be more grateful we found Rapid Response. They truly lived up to their name and made what would otherwise have been a bear of a project into something much more manageable. Now, our finished basement looks beautiful, and we'll absolutely think of Rapid Response in the future when we need other home improvement or repair work done. Thanks, Rapid Response Team!

I did a little research and found Rapid Restoration through their numerous 5-star reviews on Yelp and other websites and reached out to Daryl and a few other companies to see what it would take to get our house back into shape. Right from the first moment on the phone I knew that Daryl and Rapid Restoration would be the company we would go with. He gave me a thorough education about the process and gave me helpful advice right from the first moment. His help over the phone was always clear and accurate. He set us on the right path immediately. Seth and his crew were in our house within 48 hours to do the mitigation and boy were they thorough. The floor was pulled up, the room was disinfected and dried. And all the while, Daryl and Seth made sure that we had the documentation and backup necessary to communicate with our homeowners insurance company. With the mitigation done, the crew came back a few weeks later to actually do the repairs and get our floors back to the condition they were in before. This was equally impressive. The workmanship was truly beautiful. Seth has a great eye for design and color. Everything matches and looks beautiful. Every transition and grade was thought through and installed with accuracy and quality. Overall, youhear about the nightmares of dealing with homeowners insurance. There was NONE OF THAT. The Rapid Restoration crew were so buttoned up and knowledgable that we had literally no conflict or pushback from our homeowners insurance company. If you've had a similar issue in your own home - don't even think about it. Just call Daryl and the Rapid Restoration crew. I recommend them WITHOUT RESERVATION.

My advice to any homeowners who may have had damage to their homes is to run from this company. I…read morewas verbally assaulted by most of the men, who spoke to me like trash and ignored me. Due to their negligent work, I fell and hurt myself in my own house several times, resulting in expensive medical bills for my damaged left knee, right knee, and lower back. Honestly, I think my skin color had something to do with it, but I don't have proof, so this is hearsay. However, the pictures and work are not hearsay - the proof is in the pictures. They decided to sue us, and they won, leaving me with barely $12,000 to fix all the mistakes they left us with. Meanwhile, they walked away with over $100,000. Look at the state of my house - it's a disaster. This company wanted put a mechanic's lien on my house, collecting over $100,000 for a partially livable house with only one functioning bathroom and a partially functional basement bathroom due to leaks around the tub from their failure to grout. Mind you they got paid every single dollar and then some old to them but I have to use the bathroom in a whole in the floor like I'm in a African jungle because that's how they left my bathroom. And other parts of my house. I'm constantly chasing vermin bugs and anything else coming into my home because they left my damage door like that. Instead of them doing the work like they were supposed to do they sat on their ass and did nothing until the last minute and crammed months of repairs and two three days. 3 days and they feel they even deserve even more than the $100,000 plus amount We don't even have a functioning powder room because they damaged the toilet, broke it, and the water has been turned off for 2 years to prevent more flooding in the house due to their work. Our dishwasher isn't functioning properly because they allowed their workers to dump trash, dirt, paint, chemicals, and mold down our dishwasher, damaging it. Our deck is damaged because they allowed their workers to dump heavy equipment, paint, wood, and other items, making it unsafe to stand on. I've been going through pure hell from this entire situation, and I'm walking away with pain and suffering. As I said before, run, don't walk, run, especially if you are a woman of color.

They recently completed the demolition and…read moreremediation of my basement apartment, and the entire experience was truly white-glove from start to finish. Their team was professional, respectful of my home, and meticulous about daily cleanup, something that matters greatly when work is being done in a lived-in environment. It was immediately clear they knew exactly what they were doing and followed the Industrial Hygienist's recommendations. Air movers, air scrubbers, and dehumidifiers were properly staged and monitored throughout the process. Most importantly, the work was validated by a third-party clearance test from SMS Environmental confirming that all mold spores had been fully remediated. If you are looking for a restoration company that combines technical expertise with professionalism and respect for your property, Bylt Restoration is the go-to firm in the DMV.

It seems based on reviews that there are a few good project managers or projects…read more My experience in summary (I'm a professional with a PMP certification): 1. The sale of the job was quick. Thorough pictures but the estimate was missing a room and had to be resubmitted. 2. The PM said there would be weekly status, seemed professional and trustworthy. There was limited follow-through, and I did not receive weekly status. There is not transparency, accountability, or updates. 3. The project is delayed 2 months at this point, and I am paying rent and a mortgage out of pocket. 4. I contacted someone for assistance. As a reader I'm sure you will not be surprised to hear that the conversation should have been recorded as what 'not to do on the phone with a customer.' 5. The work looks like it will be good and what I've seen so far looks good, although there is not much to comment on. The work team seems to be courteous and conscientious. I think the end result will be decent because of the talented work team. I'm not sure if the PM is stretched too thin, if it's disorganization in the company, or a few bad seeds, or something beyond their control. I prepared myself for what I thought was a worst-case scenario which would result in an easy win and a satisfied customer. I'd like to say I'm shocked but I'm not and I don't have another company to recommend. Suggestions: 1. Read the good reviews and ask for those PMs if you have to work with this company. 2. Document everything. 3. Find out who is responsible above the PM at the onset in order to stay on top of things. 4. Expect that it will be more time-consuming than you expect and add 2 to 3x the amount of time to the project plan. 5. Email instead of calling, because you will not appreciate the communication, and you won't have it documented. Keep a folder in your email for the project so you don't have to hunt for the paper trail. Or print and keep a binder. 6. Know your agreement, contract rights, where to write the state contractor licensing board or the state insurance commission depending on what the delay is about, and be very clear with communications. Good luck and I hope your experience is better than mine!
