After assessing my situation wasn't an emergency (based on in-depth questions he asked he determined we had a clean water leak and no major signs of water damage), he scheduled for him and his team to come the following Tuesday. When they showed up, his team promptly went to work to carefully lay down floor covering (which I appreciated since we have a no-shoe policy in our house). Meanwhile Seth immediately began to inspect the source of the problem all the way to the farthest point of the water damage. He was very thorough and had a keen eye for detail as he began to point out details I hadn't even seen or imagined (later found out his background in construction is what lends to his extensive knowledge about building materials, how things should be built/how things should look etc). Long story short he determined that my water damage was not extensive at all despite the flooding we had. Instead of recommending I demo my kitchen and basement floor, ceiling, walls to track down every little sign of water damage (which would have probably gave them a chance to easily bill $40k to my insurance), he reassured me that because it was clean water that had flooded and because there was no sign of any major water damage to my home, I was good to go for this one time incident. He set up heavy duty dehumidifiers to dry out my basement and that was it. What I most appreciated is that he took the time to explain his observations and why he did what he did so that I was completely comfortable and understood what was going on in my home. He worked with me to only charge me for the labor incurred and dehumidifiers so I didn't have to go through insurance or even pay as much as my deductible. Their honesty and attention to detail was refreshing and reassuring. I hope to never have to go through another incident where my house floods or have a mold issue, but if I do I've already got Seth on my speed dial and my very short list of contractors I trust. Look at the state of my house - it's a disaster. This company wanted put a mechanic's lien on my house, collecting over $100,000 for a partially livable house with only one functioning bathroom and a partially functional basement bathroom due to leaks around the tub from their failure to grout. Mind you they got paid every single dollar and then some old to them but I have to use the bathroom in a whole in the floor like I'm in a African jungle because that's how they left my bathroom. And other parts of my house. I'm constantly chasing vermin bugs and anything else coming into my home because they left my damage door like that. Instead of them doing the work like they were supposed to do they sat on their ass and did nothing until the last minute and crammed months of repairs and two three days. 3 days and they feel they even deserve even more than the $100,000 plus amount We don't even have a functioning powder room because they damaged the toilet, broke it, and the water has been turned off for 2 years to prevent more flooding in the house due to their work. Our dishwasher isn't functioning properly because they allowed their workers to dump trash, dirt, paint, chemicals, and mold down our dishwasher, damaging it. Our deck is damaged because they allowed their workers to dump heavy equipment, paint, wood, and other items, making it unsafe to stand on. I've been going through pure hell from this entire situation, and I'm walking away with pain and suffering. As I said before, run, don't walk, run, especially if you are a woman of color.

It wasn't until the summer when the weather got warmer that I noticed a dog smell throughout my townhome. Unfortunately I'm renting and the landlords weren't willing to replace the carpet until after I renewed my license. Since I really like the place and the only major issue at the time was the carpet smell, I agreed. So until then I needed to get the carpets deep cleaned to remove the smell or at least lessen it. I contacted Gary's Carpet cleaning company and they quoted me a really good price for my three story townhome. I had 4 bedrooms, a large living room, a family room, two sets of stairs deep cleaned. He was very professional, on time and even showed us how dirty the carpets were. I wish I had a before and after but again this is a late review, and I didn't think to take pictures at the time. But he really helped us out, I was able to get through two summers without having to smell the last tenants pet. Covid hit so it took a little longer before I got new carpeting put in. She recommended Capezio Contractors, Inc. and I am very pleased that she did! After a visit by a Capezio estimater, a structural engineer visited the site, and a plan for the repairs was submitted and approved by my insurance company. The job is now complete and I am very impressed by the work Capezio contracted and oversaw. Restoration required a new roof, deck repairs, a new carport and extensive repairs to the exterior and interior of the house including a new roof, replacing all the exterior siding, rebuilding the deck, painting, as well as the installation of a double sliding glass door, some new screens and sanding and varnishing hard wood floors. There was quite a parade of workers - and they all were hard working, experienced people who knew what they what they were doing. They cleaned up every day and also helped move my furniture back to the rooms where they belonged. John, a construction project manager with Capezio, kept me informed of the progress, and the step by step repairs, as well as the country required electrical, framing, insulation inspections. I chose to stay in my house during the reconstruction and repairs.
