They decided to sue us, and they won, leaving me with barely $12,000 to fix all the mistakes they left us with. Meanwhile, they walked away with over $100,000. Look at the state of my house - it's a disaster. This company wanted put a mechanic's lien on my house, collecting over $100,000 for a partially livable house with only one functioning bathroom and a partially functional basement bathroom due to leaks around the tub from their failure to grout. Mind you they got paid every single dollar and then some old to them but I have to use the bathroom in a whole in the floor like I'm in a African jungle because that's how they left my bathroom. And other parts of my house. I'm constantly chasing vermin bugs and anything else coming into my home because they left my damage door like that. Instead of them doing the work like they were supposed to do they sat on their ass and did nothing until the last minute and crammed months of repairs and two three days. 3 days and they feel they even deserve even more than the $100,000 plus amount We don't even have a functioning powder room because they damaged the toilet, broke it, and the water has been turned off for 2 years to prevent more flooding in the house due to their work. Our dishwasher isn't functioning properly because they allowed their workers to dump trash, dirt, paint, chemicals, and mold down our dishwasher, damaging it. Our deck is damaged because they allowed their workers to dump heavy equipment, paint, wood, and other items, making it unsafe to stand on. I've been going through pure hell from this entire situation, and I'm walking away with pain and suffering. As I said before, run, don't walk, run, especially if you are a woman of color.

It wasn't until the summer when the weather got warmer that I noticed a dog smell throughout my townhome. Unfortunately I'm renting and the landlords weren't willing to replace the carpet until after I renewed my license. Since I really like the place and the only major issue at the time was the carpet smell, I agreed. So until then I needed to get the carpets deep cleaned to remove the smell or at least lessen it. I contacted Gary's Carpet cleaning company and they quoted me a really good price for my three story townhome. I had 4 bedrooms, a large living room, a family room, two sets of stairs deep cleaned. He was very professional, on time and even showed us how dirty the carpets were. I wish I had a before and after but again this is a late review, and I didn't think to take pictures at the time. But he really helped us out, I was able to get through two summers without having to smell the last tenants pet. Covid hit so it took a little longer before I got new carpeting put in. I really appreciate his business and will be using them again in the near future for maintenance on my new carpet.

After removal of the branch and resulting debris by a tree company, I asked my insurance agent for a recommendation for reconstruction and restoration. She recommended Capezio Contractors, Inc. and I am very pleased that she did! After a visit by a Capezio estimater, a structural engineer visited the site, and a plan for the repairs was submitted and approved by my insurance company. The job is now complete and I am very impressed by the work Capezio contracted and oversaw. Restoration required a new roof, deck repairs, a new carport and extensive repairs to the exterior and interior of the house including a new roof, replacing all the exterior siding, rebuilding the deck, painting, as well as the installation of a double sliding glass door, some new screens and sanding and varnishing hard wood floors. There was quite a parade of workers - and they all were hard working, experienced people who knew what they what they were doing. They cleaned up every day and also helped move my furniture back to the rooms where they belonged. John, a construction project manager with Capezio, kept me informed of the progress, and the step by step repairs, as well as the country required electrical, framing, insulation inspections. I chose to stay in my house during the reconstruction and repairs. When the Capezio was 50% complete he asked for the first draw, Wells Fargo sent out an inspector (unlicensed) who said the work was not done correctly and put the funds in an escrow account. i worked to get the check released to Capezio but Wells would not budge saying i could hire another contractor. I just needed to move my family back into our home. after interviewing 3 prospects i hired a contractor, Well refuse to acknowledge them stating a dispute exsted with Capazio? Wells Fargo was playing how do I keep the money. I ended up paying out of pocket as Wells Fargo held on to the 86 thousand dollars. for repairs. Capezio, one of USAA preferred contractor. USAA promised I'd be satisfied with the work and would never have to go to court with their preferred contactors. but Capezio back doored me and sued me. when i discovered the law suit, while selling another home to pay for the repairs, i was told by Prince George county courts that it was too late to appeal. I was never served, but its Prince George county Maryland (predominated Black) and most of the court cases are fixed by the judges who are paid the most. Capezio sued me for $140.thousand dollars stating that they had completed the job 100% when the home was left molded infested, unfinished and unlivable. To date 6 years later Wellfargo is still holding the 86k for the home repairs from 2016 and 6k for the mold clean up all which i paid for USAA issued all funds to Wells Fargo. i have hired 2 lawyer to go to bat and negotiate- have Wells pay Capezio and for Capezio to accept the amount due 50%.
