I was told they would have to call the driver to check. 15 minutes later they informed me that "he became "lost" and now pizza was cold and they NOW were closed.. Sorry". Are you kidding?! Had this pizza a few times, it's good, customer service sucks. Called to order the pizza and wing deal, the guy takes my order and then asks me if I want my chicken "well done"... um no... I want it medium rare? Wtf kind of question is that? If you want to know if I want it extra crispy, just ask that. I immediately ask for the manager. I explain to Mikayla (manager) my concern and she doesn't even apologize. She takes my order and then asks what size wings... um whatever comes in the pizza and wing deal that you advertise! I also tell her to please make sure they are boneless and come with ranch because both of those things were messed up with our last order... again, she does not apologize or say anything to assure me that it will be correct this time. We ordered two pizza's last night and both arrived completely squished to one side of the box. after calling they said they would send new out but would do nothing because they said we were the ones that did that to the pizza's....the manager Jacob was rude and confrontational ... when the new pizza's got there one of them was just like the first ones !! For our past two orders, we've waited an hour and a half, then when we called, we got a busy signal. We called repeatedly. Then, it would ring a few times and hang up. We called repeatedly. Then we were put on hold--tonight for about 15 minutes. I hung up and called again and told him immediately to not put me on hold, and he laughed. At this point, it was two and a half hours after we placed the order. He said they'd have to make it again. Keep in mind, this is the *second* time that this whole sequence of events has happened--I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time because of COVID. Wow, best take out pizza in Aurora I found. I've tried all of them in the 5 years I've been in the Denver area. Pizza always tastes good and looks delicious. Staff is super nice. Last time I went they messed up my order, only forgot the extra cheese and she didn't realize it till Min before I walked in, so I had to wait, a few more minutes for a new one, gave me both for free and told me happy 4rth! Fantastic, quick delivery. I actually ordered on grubhub.com and the initial order said that it would be here in an hour. They had it to me in about 25 minutes piping hot! The calzone is absolutely huge, but I like that it doesn't have a ton of dough. The pricing to add additional items is reasonable, and the flavor was impressive. I recently moved to the neighborhood served by this store. The first time I ordered pizza from this place, they never showed up with my pizza, I can only assume that they tried to deliver it to an Avenue address, instead of a Place address, one block away. The delivery person tried to call me,with a blocked number. Couldn't call them back, obviously and it took 10 days to get my money back. THEN, I called the store that I used to use, not too far away, and they delivered the pie. Don't place an order online with Blackjack Pizza, Aurora people! They send it to the wrong store, they can't deliver out of their area and can't do a refund for 3-5 business days. They call you and tell you to call another store and place the order over the phone, and get charged again. Called in a to go order and did not get what I played for marnaria sauce with wings but was charged for extra ranch and blue cheese and 1 ranch was supposed to come with order. Pizza was supposed to have 3 toppings came with 2 and cold as well not even warm. Imagine this, its Saturday night, you've had the longest week of your life, you're dead tired and starving to death! You call your favorite Pizza place to order something for dinner and after verifying the order and the address twice you pay for pizza. 5 minutes later you get a call from the "manager" stating that they are unable to deliver to you due to the address being outside of the delivery area. Can you imagine my concern and frustration after verifying the address twice with the representative and the manager stating that all she could do was void the transaction which doesn't give the money back immediately, but instead makes you wait 5 business days for the refund. So here we are out $30 for pizza which could have been resolved within the first few minutes of the call when we verified the address. The manager did NOTHING to assist to resolve the issue whatsoever, nor did she state that she would even offer to train the employee further!!!! This outlandish display of disrespect to a paying customer is an outrage! We are still starving at this point and decide to call another Blackjack Pizza to try and get something to eat. We put in our order and they verify our address. We ask them, "if we give you an address, does it tell you if its deliverable or not in that moment?" "Yes" said the representative from the Parker location in Denver. So, NOW we know for a fact that the Alameda Location blatantly charged our card, FULLY KNOWING that we are outside the deliver area and still put us through the ringer. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS And Completely DISRESPECTFUL!!!!! This location had delivered to my home on several occasions and then arbitrarily decided not to this time. When I asked to talk with the manager (Daniel) he hung up on me (yes I dropped the F-bomb, not going to change the way I talk, especially when frustrated at a situation such as this). Much Like Sara L. this is the first store that pops up on the online ordering thing, they are located less than 3 miles from my home. Sounds to me like the ones who were wrong was the actual store. Needless to say I called back, asked for names and a phone number to corporate. I called and was forced to leave a message, they did nothing, no call back, etc. obviously they don't care. This is a shame since I enjoyed Blackjack pizzas in the past, but I will just get delivery from the five or six other pizza places that deliver within the same area as these guys do. I wouldn't be surprised if my review gets down-voted like the other one star reviews below. I would encourage anyone looking at Yelp to also check on the reviews that are "not factored into their overall score." The ones for at least this business are obviously true. read more
