I was very pleased with the service and care that I received from Greenwood dental. Upon entering the office, my wife and I were greeted by Renee, who was extremely helpful and friendly. (Trust me, this goes a long way toward putting patients at ease). We filled out a minimal amount of necessary paperwork and were whisked back to private rooms (very nice) for our cleanings, x-rays and examinations. The hygienist that helped me was very professional and personable. She did her job well and at an efficient speed. The TV in the ceiling was a nice touch for patient distraction, although headphones for sound would have been nice. The office is extremely well coordinated with appointments, and no sooner was the cleaning completed than Dr. Brandon Greenwood entered and introduced himself. Rather than getting right down to business, he took the time to get to know me and tell me a little about the office and the other dentists working there. He also let me know that the office does emergency appointments and that his staff are available whenever they are needed. Awesome! His fun personality was a delight, and a nice personal touch to his care. He was very good at explaining what he saw on my x-rays and letting me know the best way to care for my teeth in their current state. (no cavities!, yes!). A great dentist, whom I will be glad to return to. Lastly, the office gives out "prizes" for not having any cavities (Yes, even to the adults), so I got a t-shirt for my good dental hygiene efforts. I'm sure this practice keeps the kids happy. I didn't need any more invasive procedures done, so if I do I'll update the review later with my thoughts on those. All in all, a positive experience at Greenwood Dental. I'd recommend to anyone with any dental anxiety. Truly a delightful experience.

I just got a front tooth chip repair here and I am very disappointed in my experience. I now have a…read moretooth that looks bad and will bug me my whole life unless I go back to have them re-do it, which I'm either going to do or go somewhere else to have done. I had Dr. Dale, who was so impatient! After the initial shaping there was a large chunk of fake tooth scratching me on the back that he couldn't see, and after I had to have him try to file it off 5+ times to no avail he declared "I'd hate to move your furniture!" And by the end, he had totally misshapen the tooth so it doesn't look at all like my other one, is crooked, has an uneven line, and is sharp on one edge where it touches my tongue. But because it was already crooked and too small compared to my other, and he wouldn't stop commenting on how picky I was, I just stopped asking him to fix it. I hoped he was right and I was just being picky but I don't even want to smile any more that's how much it bothers me still. He would never include this tooth in a portfolio of his best work, and that speaks volumes to the kind of dentist that he is. Shouldn't you want your patients to be impressed instead of depressed with your work? Especially a front tooth! Two stars because their office themselves were very accommodating and nice, somehow when I called to schedule they had scheduled me at a different office? But when I showed up at the office I had called, they were able to squeeze me in despite "not having" an appointment.

After hearing many horror stories about getting dental work done in Mexico and experiencing poor communication with my dentist in Mexico, who came highly rated, I decided it was worth the cost to have it done at home. That way I could have open communication throughout the entire process, and that is exactly what I got, to say the least. From day one I was taken such good care of by the office manager, Dr. Locke, and the ceramist, Jessica Love. Both Jessica and Dr. Locke are perfectionists, and that's exactly what you want when you are getting a new smile! I loved their attention to detail. I knew I wanted my smile to look natural, and they delivered. The whole experience was so comfortable for me. It's such a unique thing to have the ceramist right there in house to make real-time adjustments and assessments, rather than waiting to send out to a lab. I was able to help design my teeth with Jessica exactly how I wanted them, and I love them so much! At each appointment I was met with a weighted blanket, exfoliating lip treatments (and good music!), which I think were just nice little touches that added up to make the overall experience very calming, luxurious and positive for me. This is saying a lot, because I typically have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Locke is the best at administering the numbing shot, better than any other dentist I've ever been to. It barely hurt at all. He's gentle and efficient. Both Jessica and Dr Locke followed up with me regularly afterward to check on me and see how I was feeling. Most importantly, I absolutely love my new smile. I feel so confident now. I'm so grateful!

When I showed up to my appointment I was met by Dr. Proctor who was apparently a few years out of dental school. I had to laugh and I explained to him I asked for the seasoned dentist upfront due to my fear of all things dentistry and wished us both luck. He was AWESOME! His personality is hilarious. He would joke when I needed a joke. Made me feel comfortable from minute one. We are many appointments, fillings and crowns in and he is still my all time favorite dentist and I've had many in my nearly sixty years. My permanent crown today went on so perfectly I was in and out in no time . Thank you Taylor for assisting ,you were great too. I'm so happy I just had to leave a review! When I asked their answer was that it is just routine practice, and if I go against their routine practice( not let them do what they want) I should go some place else; however, this unnecessary radiation exposure to my children and Bluffdale Dental routine practice should had been explained to us before it was done to my children and not after the fact. I also asked how often children gets panoramic x-ray the doctor said about every 5 years ( assistant said every 3 to 5 years) then I asked if they had requested dental records to see last time it was done since my children are new to them( their first visit) they said NO! this is so unacceptable! what if the other dentist got this done recently; Bluffdale dental did not care enough to know this information to protect my children against unnecessary radiation exposure which can be harmful to their health. Not a sincere apology or any effort to understand the client's point of view. I am devastated. As far as the visit went my children were very impressed with how well the staff treated them.

The staff was friendly, gentle cleanings, and honest dentist. Dr Pratt is very knowledgeable and does amazing work. My husband had a mouth full of fillings and even a root canal. Took time off work and show up on time for my appointment, only for the receptionist to tell me she couldn't verify my insurance and is unable to treat me. Drove all the way home and called my insurance and confirmed my dental insurance was active. They even looked up the call history and confirmed the receptionist called minutes before my appointment and only went through the automated system instead of talking to a live representative. Highly disappointed that I was not notified prior to my appointment, wasted my time and was given inaccurate information.

CASH PAYING / NO INSURANCE - PLENTY OF BETTER CHOICES ELSEWHERE!…read more We WERE patients of this practice the past couple of years and had good service for the times we went (2X/year). However, if you do not have insurance (unemployed, self-employed) you will significantly save by taking your business elsewhere. TMFD provides NO discount to cash paying customers. You will pay the FULL amount of the rate they "bill" insurance companies, even though TMFD collects only a portion from insurance companies due to the contracted rates for said services. Example: I was interested in just a cleaning. TMFD wanted to charge me $112 for the cleaning. I had a cleaning earlier this year (Jan '24) and the rate they billed insurance for just the cleaning was $97. What insurance actually paid them was $45! Yet now, TMFD wants to charge me $112. I called around and found more sympathetic dentists to my current situation who not only had a less expensive rate to begin with, but offered a discount to cash paying customers (because they know they're going to collect more from a cash paying customer they offer a 10-25% discount than they would billing insurance). Once we have insurance again, no problem. Just amazed that TMFD wasn't willing to work with us and would so easily loose two loyal customers! BTW, their in-house plan wasn't that great of an option, once you run the numbers.
