If you want to get more fillings than you actually need, then have those fillings botched so you end up needing crowns, and then have those crowns pop off continuously, come to this practice! That was my husband's experience here. We finally stopped going when I started having tooth pain from one of their fillings, and they brought a little model in to show me how a filling can end up being too deep in the tooth so the tooth splits, and how I needed a crown. Afterwards when I was left in the booth to think about the options they had given me, I realized that I could overhear the doctor giving the person in the next booth the same exact explanation, and I remembered that this is the reason my husband was given for needing crowns. I've never had this type of damage happen from any other fillings I've had from other dentists, so it's astounding that it happens so often with this practice. My next dentist just shaved the filling down to match my bite better, and it's been fine. He was also able to reapply my husband's crowns in a way that kept them in place for a couple of years, now. I was reminded of our experience here by a recent conversation, and judging by reviews the miss-handling is ongoing so I thought I'd add my piece to save the teeth of others. All the people at TGP Dental are really nice, so it pains me to write a negative review, but not as much as the pain I have experienced since going to Dr. Losee in the first place. They told me I needed to replace three fillings and a crown. I didn't have any tooth pain or concerns with my teeth, and now that I have been to TGP dental twice, I am in agonizing pain and I don't dare go back. I can't chew anything and fear I may have to get a root canal. I'm looking for another dentist I can trust, but so often it seems they are so eager to drill and fill, even when it is necessary. For instance, I was told I needed a crown. So I consented. After being drilled and wearing a temporary for two weeks, I am told by Doctor Losee that there is a 20% chance that you have to do a root canal after a crown. Why did I get the crown in the first place? My tooth was far better off before the work was done. Very disappointed in my experience. Also, as an aside, my fillings are also extremely subpar. No contour to try to make it fit better with my existing teeth and one of them still hurts. I'm not sure what to recommend other than to be very circumspect about letting anyone drill into your teeth. read more

Please be aware of doctor Losee!! I lost my two teeth because of his negligence and unprofessionalism. Yes, he has good degree and good reviews but I must warn you guys fact is fact. I lost my teeth. Of course he doesn't admit his mistake ( who would right?), that's why we prepare a law suit against him. He put a crown on untreated property tooth which costed me $$$$$ to fix that and was hard to find a doctor who would agree to try to fix it. I have so much anxiety when it comes to dentists. I know a lot of people will say that, but dental work is a mortal fear of mine. I've had some very bad experiences, and I am always leery to try a new office. But I moved to Lehi, and needed a new dentist, and had raving recommendations of the office from my parents. With the office being 4 blocks from my house and accepted on my insurance, I felt confident to try Thanksgiving Point Dental. The office is new and modern, but cozy. It's located on the second floor of an office building in the Thanksgiving Point office park. The office staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and are quick to offer you bottled water or juice when you arrive (or are leaving). Dr Losse is skilled, but gentle. He's getting into the later part of his career, but he is not opposed to using the latest technology in the office. When you get your dental work done, they offer you pillows, warm blankets, and an Apple TV remote to watch movies on the ceiling of the treatment room with wireless headphones. After my crowns were done, he gave me his cell phone number to call if I had any problems. A few hours later in the evening, he called to check up on me. I arrived for my dental cleaning wearing a mask, I was surprised to see 3 receptionists not wearing masks when I checked in. I thought, that's fine the technicians will be wearing masks. Then I took my seat. As I sat there for 5 minutes 2 of the receptionists began coughing, one even commented on how bad her cough was. Then I witnessed a technician walk with a patient with her mask around her chin. I approached the front desk and explained that I would be canceling my appointment. She asked why and I said their coughing and not wearing masks when they are obviously sick shows a lack of concern for patient safety. The receptionist rolled her eyes. I left. read more

Dr. Losee is the absolute best dentist I've ever been to. I seriously hate having dental work done. I get so much anxiety and cry and just generally hate it. I told the staff the last time I had to get fillings how anxious and nervous I get, and they had me talk with Dr. Losee and he prescribed me Halcion, which was great because I didn't remember a thing. Today I had another filling, but it was a small one and I opted to not get the sedative. Of course I was majorly anxious and scared, and the hygienist saw that I was, so she told Dr. Losee. He came and sat with me and asked me about what I feared and what he could do to help. He talked me through what would happen and made it easy. He calmed my fears and I was in and out within an hour. My numbing has worn off and I can feel that he filed and polished the filling down perfectly. Fits my top teeth and no ragged edges. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. They always have a smile and offer you juice or water when you leave. The office itself is very nice, warm and welcoming, and each area has a TV in the ceiling so you can watch a show or movie with Bluetooth earphones to distract you from your exam/dental work. I will keep going to Dr. Losee for as long as he is practicing, even if I move. He really is the best. read more

Unfortunately, I have experienced dental issues finally resulting in the loss of most of my teeth requiring serious dental attention. Again, and unfortunately, the dental attention received over the years was far from adequate to the point where there was no way I even dared try to smile. An incredibly expensive mistake to use Dr. Losee. We spent thousands of dollars on him fixing my wife's teeth (unnecessarily). And then after moving away and finding another better dentist, have spent many thousands more fixing all of his shoddy work. Worst dentist I've ever encountered, by a mile. First, he gave terrible and SELF-SERVING advice leading to lots of unnecessary work. My wife was taking a medication that seemed to be corroding her teeth (it dissolves in your mouth and is very acidic). She asked him if this was a problem and what she should do about it. He said, "No, no problem. Keep taking it and we can just easily fix any damage it causes." Terrible and self-serving advice. Turns out he could have just recommended a mouth guard when taking the medicine to save her teeth. Instead, it did ruin nearly a dozen of her teeth. And we spent thousands of dollars with him over many appointments repairing and filling her corroded teeth. Second, the repair work (which should have never been necessary in the first place), was SHODDY. As verified by several other dentist opinions 6 years later after moving away. Fillings fell out. Worse, many fillings had uncleaned decay left underneath them or weren't properly sealed. These got worse and turned into 5 (FIVE) root canals. Seriously, it took years and nearly $10,000 to repair all of his bad dental work. All these great reviews about friendly guy, good bed-side manner, beautiful offices, friendly staff, latest tech gadgets, flat screens to watch movies... all true! What they don't tell you is the consequences you'll find 5 -10 years later when you're spending even more money to fix his shoddy work. read more

I don't typically have a problem with dentists - unless I have to get shots in my mouth. I am terrified of needles, and having them in my gums is like being in a horror movie (think Saw proportions, seriously). I went to Dr. Lossee with one of my wisdom teeth already partway in. I needed it pulled, and when I told him what I bad experience I'd had with other dentists and teeth pulling, he was understanding and prescribed me something called Halcion (a really, really powerful sedative) for the procedure. This medication, plus his gentleness and the courtesy of the staff, equaled an excellent experience, plus the fastest healing time I (or any of my family/friends) have ever seen. By the next day I could eat normal food and by the end of the week, I wasn't in any pain and could hardly tell anything had happened. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I will be returning to this office for any dental care I need (despite living pretty far away - about 30 miles). read more
