Every time we go to Blackhawk, we get this Pizza. The restaurant is just before you get to Blackhawk. Outside they've got some fun games to play, for example, connect for the large version 4 x 5, cornhole, and a few other things. There's plenty of seating outside. I would highly recommend the pizza, the smoked Canadian bacon. It's fantastic. They use fresh ingredients, we got mushroom green chili and pineapple; and the pizza is cooked to perfection. This is the first time we ever got the cinnamon pizza, dessert! It is a must and we will get this again. It was the same size as a medium pizza. It was enough for three people, which was probably too much but it was that tasty. I also bought the cannoli dip that was fantastic as well and plenty for two people. We ordered takeout for delivery -- yes, delivery in Central City! That alone is amazing here in our little mountain town. We tried a gluten-free crust loaded with all the meats and mushrooms, and it was fantastic! I don't know what they do differently, but their gluten-free crust actually tastes amazing -- none of that cardboard texture you usually get with gluten-free pizza. The toppings were generous and perfectly balanced. Truly excellent pizza. We also ordered a regular crust pepperoni and green chili pie -- another total winner! It was cooked perfectly, with a great crust and top-notch ingredients. Loved every bite. The young person who took our order over the phone was super friendly and helpful, and the delivery driver was just as nice -- even braving a bit of snow to bring our food. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to gluten-free crusts, but the one from Black Hawk Pizza was so good it's almost unbelievable. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. This place is clearly worth the drive if you live anywhere in the Denver/ Metro area! An enormous amount of care coming from a local pizzeria. We enjoyed the board games and mountainside view with a campground feel. We had a colorful veggie pizza with an incredible crust and undercarriage. The cinnamon sticks along with the hospitality gave me the feel of a receiving a home baked good from a loved relative. Will absolutely be back to this amazing place. There is literally zero competition in town when it comes to wanting excellent quality pizza. Black Hawk Pizza is by far the best in town in my opinion. Pictures doesn't do it justice. I ordered a large pizzas, 2 cheese, 1 BBQ Chicken, 1 Hawaiian, 1 Chicken Bacon Ranch... and they quoted me 20 minutes... I don't know what sort of wizardy they have working in that kitchen, but it's obviously a recipe/spell for success. The donuts are also pretty killer. I've ordered from Blackhawk Pizza several times in the past and have always found both the pizza and the overall experience to be exceptional. However, this past Friday (May 30), I had a disappointing experience. When I called to place an order for two pizzas and cheesy bread, the first person who answered the phone couldn't hear me well and, unfortunately, responded with rudeness. I hadn't spoken to her before, and the call ended with her hanging up on me. I was eventually able to speak with someone else who was more courteous and helped me place my order. I requested the pizzas to be par-baked, as I've done successfully in the past. However, when I got home and finished baking them, the crust was so thin and flat that it came out more like a cracker than the usual pizza I enjoy from your place. I understand that every business can have an off day, so I'm going to chalk this up to that and give Blackhawk Pizza another try. I've had great experiences in the past, and I hope this was just an isolated incident. read more

Such a great find in this area. Very few places to eat besides the hotels and casinos. The pizza was excellent! We got the 18" House Special. It's made fresh, so takes 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. The lady who owns the business also makes the pizza, and is very friendly. You can also call ahead for dining in or take out. After walking around the casinos in Black Hawk, my husband and I wanted to actually experience some quality food. The casino restaurants did not look appealing and were overpriced. After extending our search, we found Blackhawk Pizza. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sweetest cashier. I'm so sad I didn't catch her name. She overheard my husband and I debating on which pizza to get and which toppings. She chimed in either a recommendation we both quickly agreed on. We took a seat to wait for our order, and we could smell the aroma of the food we were eagerly waiting for. Another patreon who had been sitting outside with his family came back in to compliment the food. This made my husband and I so excited, hearing how good the food would be. We had an amazing conversation with the cashier and her husband. We absolutely adored them and their hospitality. The pizza was so good! I wish I took a photo before scarfing it down. Please avoid wasting your money on casino food. This lovely family-ownes business would be somewhere I return to. Not just for the pizza but for the staff. The pizza had the perfect fresh sauce.
