    My mocha

My daughter recommended this place as we were going to be in town doing some touring. Luckily we got a table pretty fast. It's cute inside and it wasn't loud. Our server was Becky W. She was fine, but my granddaughter's one ordered a huckleberry milkshake and one ordered a coconut milkshake. She brought out a combination of the two because they screwed up and wanted to know if my granddaughters wanted them. They both said no. One granddaughter had the Ahi appetizer and she said it was pretty good. The other one had your basic hamburger with french fries. My husband and I shared the bacon jam, burger, and homemade chips. I didn't taste much bacon. I also had a mocha as I was pretty cold.

The perfect mid-drive lunch stop for our Seattle-to-Montana road trip. I had the fish-n- chips, wife had the Italian sandwich with poblano soup. The sandwich was huge and stacked with meat, too large to finish. The fish-n-chips was good, but after seeing the Italian and a neighboring chicken sandwich, I'll be ordering a sandwich on our next visit. We'll definitely be back.

If you aren't headed to Wallace, go just for this food! This quaint place has a surprisingly wide variety of food choices. Hubby got the Ahi Sandwich and there was more than plenty of great fresh tuna. I got the lobster artichoke dip. I couldn't really enjoy it be because it was so good, I inhaled it. The owners are very involved with the customers. David was fabulous and clearly takes pride in his food. Make the trip!

Very cute and quaint little cafe. We stopped by to grab some lunch to-go. Got some spaghetti and garlic bread and tiramisu and both were good. The pasta was well cooked and the garlic bread was done very nicely. The interiors were actually very nice-- they had some specialty food items from all over the country. The staff were very sweet!

We ate lunch here passing through the area. What a cute town! Its history is a silver mining town. When a fire in the early 1900 burned down buildings, they rebuilt them in brick, many of which you see today when you enter the town. We loved the cafe. We sat on a sidewalk table which had umbrellas to help block the sun and tomato plants in planters to provide some privacy from those passing by. I chose the half summer salad which was a perfect amount. The fresh ingredients and light dressing created a wonderful summer lunch. Our server must have forgot to put in our order (it was so busy with only two people waiting all the tables). She was very apologetic and offered to pay for our lunch, or pay for a dessert. I asked for a Diet Coke to go to 'settle the score' and we all were happy. Great stop in a cute town with lots of history.

Wallace keeps surprising with great food options, and the Blackboard was the latest great find. Stopped for lunch and had two delicious sandwiches with my son. The roast turkey with carmelized onions was fantastic - little bits of garlic and gooey cheese, coupled with a toasted bun, paired nicely with a rich lobster bisque. The ahi sandwich was another winner but not quite as expected - rather than a filet, you get minced ahi in a tasty sauce more akin to a chicken salad style sandwich but with rare ahi. It still worked! Friendly attentive service means I'm stopping again. All the sandwich options look good enough to try so I will!

On our cross country road trip west to east had us driving through Idaho. Based on some excellent reviews, we decided to come here for lunch. It didn't disappoint! Extensive menu with appetizers, soup, salad, burgers, sandwiches and some entrees. They have lunch hours and dinner hours. And delicious shakes! The dining room is cozy and nice interior. The cafe is attached to a deli and you can shop at their clothing and accessories boutique. Prices were reasonable. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a great find for us and recommend for anyone driving through Wallace!

BLT was very delicious! They packed it full of all the ingredients, with a hearty helping of bacon! The garlic mayo was also super flavorful. Portion size was perfect, I got it with a Caesar salad on the side. 10/10 would recommend! Reuben sandwich was very yummy. Although I was not expecting spicy chilis in the sauerkraut Would've liked to have known that beforehand - wasn't listed on the ingredients on the menu. The fries were perfect and the portion was good. The Cuban sandwich: My husband says "Great taste, lots of meat." We even had a butterfly visit us that was flying around through the kitchen! Bar top seating was nice and the decorations were cool too - they had a chalkboard on the wall with food puns. We would definitely go back here!

Great food. The smug owner didn't add to my experience. I hope he had a better day after telling me to take a Valium. I sure did because I had just gotten married the day before so nothing was going to bring me down. Edit: Thank you for your response. I apologize if I identified the wrong person. We have always enjoyed coming in and will continue to do so.

Stopped by lunch and went away so happy! One if the best parts of a long day of roadtripping is discovering gems like this place. Totally cute place. Loads of eclectic decor - the drawings on the wall are awesome! Dairy Queen, Duck Tape and party animal Warm and friendly service. The food is terrific. I had the pear grilled cheese with whiskey caramelized onions. So tasty - I upgraded to soup. How could i not? Truffle tomato soup- heaven in a cup. Definitely worth the stop and absolutely would return. Yum

Absolutely love the space, very chill and spacious. There's an upstairs with lots of seating to read or do work and on the first floor there's tables too. It's connected to a gift shop too. It also has a restaurant attached which doesn't open till 11am. Dog friendly which is nice. I think it would be better for lunch but my family and I came for coffee and breakfast not realizing they didn't serve breakfast foods. We tried the pastries (cinnamon swirl buns and the cinnamon coffee cake) which were okay. Very big though, we could've all split just 1 instead of each getting our own. For coffee, I got an iced dirty chai with almond milk which was okay and my husband and step daughter did iced mochas which they said were okay as well. The staff were very friendly though.

CLBP is just on the north side of 90 adjacent to the Wallace RV park. The inside is very comfortable and inviting. It was quite busy at noon on a Saturday afternoon so service was a little slow. No worries though especially since there was a crowd because of the ladies homesteading gathering being in town. Weird but I didn't go with a flight this time. I started with a pint of the Pulaski Porter while SWPFTD went with the Mountain Top amber. Both were quite tasty. I ordered the French dip sandwich which was fantastic. SWPFTD had the Reuben which was also very good. Yes, I ate part of her sandwich. I wrapped up with a pint of the milk stout on nitro and SWPFTD had the blood orange IPA. The IPA didn't work for me but I never love the blood Orange. The milk stout was really good though. CLBP is a great stop in Wallace! There isn't much seating inside and on the day we were there it was unseasonably cold, so patio seating was out of the question. We were able to play a little table Tetris with some of the other diners and piece together a spot for the three of us. The interior is decorated with lucha libre masks and art, so it adds a funky vibe. There was one waitress holding down the restaurant and she was on top of it! She greeted us and was back within a few minutes to take our order. I'm primarily vegetarian, but sometimes splurge on seafood, so I couldn't pass up the Shrimp Al Fuego taco as I love spicy food. It was large for a street taco and was packed with large, juicy shrimp. I will say it was not that spicy, as advertised, (although I have a high spice tolerance) and a bit on the expensive side, but very flavorful. I do wish the tortilla was warmed or toasted to amplify the flavor. They had a huge selection of hot sauces, including some local ones, which was really cool. I was tempted to try a margarita, but they didn't have the seasonal huckleberry jalapeño available, so I decided to stick with water. The others in my party ordered the Marinated Steak taco and the Beef Adobada burrito. Everyone really enjoyed their food and it's definitely about I'd try again.
