After dinner we were looking for a decent bar to enjoy a quick drink before heading home. This place surpassed our expectations by a mile. Neon lights, edgy signs and the aroma of incense draw you in. The bar keeper greets you under the disco ball. You take a look around, cool clothes and even better decor. The bar is set up with mint infused water and glasses. I love the attention to detail, and anticipation of customer needs. After talking to the bartender; Thomas about their cocktail options, I settled on a draft IPA, although I had my eye on their Filthy Twisted Martini. Thomas described it as breaking all the trad martini rules and it sounded delicious, but he let me know it did have a bit of spice. I couldn't tolerate anymore spice so I decided to try that one another time. My Wife ordered their botanical lemonade, she loved it, describing it as the best lemonade she ever had. Y'all!! It's delicious, a must try, with the option to have it with or without alcohol. We decided to sit on their rooftop patio, people watching and enjoying the cool summer evening. Bathrooms were super clean. Parking on the street. This place will be on my mind until the next time I'm there. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

The staff were all super friendly. I'd definitely go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Value: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Food: We had a couple of outstanding breakfast sandwiches. They're served with a healthy portion of bacon or sausage, spicy mayo, a fluffy egg, all on a soft bun. It all came together perfectly. Service: The servers were all so helpful and friendly. The store was full of locals that they clearly knew and were regulars. The staff helped suggest some great food options and some activities for us to do that day. Value: Sandwiches were a bit expensive (~$12 each) but at least they were delicious. Atmosphere: The store is a little small and it's a bit tough to find seating. But it's still nice and has cafe type vibes.

I've been to this place a few times. The coffee is average to good / decent but the only reason I…read morehave been a few times is because there was no alternative in the area. The quality drop over the past year is too significant even if a business is trying to downscale and cut costs during trying times. There is almost nothing on the menu that there used to be: focaccia, fresh sandwiches with quality ingredients/substance. The prices while always high are now completely unjustified for the quality and basic level of food they are offering. The choices on the menu are strange and some of the choices are not very edible. But the worst thing of all, as someone who loves nothing more than going to coffee shops and forming relationships with the people who run and work in these treasured small businesses, is that there is simply no soul in this place. No appetite to serve the customer in a way that feels positive, or helpful, or caring beyond the transaction. The attitude is: bare minimum, transaction, next order. No consideration for offering any of the basics that accompany a meal or coffee anywhere in the world. I hate to say this but when you're not into something you do it shows and what's the point if the customer and the product come last? Even if that's not the intention, that's how it comes across, strongly. Perhaps the business can stick to coffee and adopt a take away only model. Thank you and apologize if this is hurtful - it comes from an honest place of overall dissatisfaction and the negative vibes I have felt when visiting this place.

The actual café is small but there's a lot of outdoor seating in the alleyway right next-door. Would definitely love to go back and try some other things--they had breakfast sandwiches and other sandwiches to try and I'm sure they're probably really good.

I went three times during my visit and had a different sandwich two times...both were incredible. I also really loved the music they play, which gives the whole place such a great atmosphere. I'd absolutely make this a regular stop anytime I'm in Kingston.

The focaccia is so incredibly light, but not flimsy at all and held up to the sandwich contents. I was afraid that the chips would be complete mush after 45 seconds, but not at all the case - even an hour or more later when I had the other half of my turkey sammich, the chips weren't grossly soggy. We wanted a cold foam maple coffee, but their barista was out and he was out of practice - Jolene shouted from the kitchen to make him do it anyway!! We didn't, but had a couple iced coffees and they were fine. Jolene's tropical-ish cookie was very nice, as were the packaged chocolate chip caramel walnut cookies. I absolutely want to go back for breakfast and bowls and they also have a grab & go area that looked incredible, it appears the offerings change weekly? The "general store" portion was meager but not bad if you were in a pinch, I suppose. The vibe is so sweet and welcoming.

We tried Hank's Ham Sandwich, and let me just say--I never would've thought to pair peach jam, ham, and chips in a sandwich, but it totally works. Sweet, salty, crispy, and just the right amount of indulgent. Paired with a crunchy pickle and some creamy coleslaw on the side--comfort food done right. But what really made the experience extra special was the kindness of the team. Grady and Jolene (food creators) and our wonderful server, Lauren, made us feel right at home. They even surprised me with a slice of their blueberry crumble cake for my birthday--completely unprompted! It was such a thoughtful touch and the cake itself was packed with juicy berries and a perfect crumb topping. The vibe inside is super charming too--part cafe, part general store, with a cozy, nostalgic feel. You can grab everything from housemade treats to local goods. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. Thanks again to the whole Rushbrook crew--you made my day!
