This was a great spot! The WiFi worked well for doing some work while I waited and it was a short drive to the airport. The service was great and the maple donut I had was fabulous. The lavender oat milk latte was alright. The ambiance was pretty cute with two upstairs areas and lots of spots to sit and munch your bakery. I'd definitely recommend it and come back! read more

My family & I visited while in town for a short trip. We ordered a variety of items from the menu. First the breakfast "nesties" we got the bacon, egg & cheese. These are very large and definitely shareable. I found them to be good but a bit too much cheese for me and they need to be eaten right away bc once they sit for a while they can be a bit greasy. For sweets we tried a few of their donuts--pumpkin, blueberry, red velvet, apple fritter, Bavarian cream and caramel frosted! All were delicious, fresh and well worth it! We washed it all down with a simple drip coffee that was fresh & better than Starbucks by far. Only reason for 4 stars would be the service. Most employees were pleasant and helpful but one seemed annoyed we were even there. Definitely worth taking the trip to visit this place! An almost overwhelming offering of baked goods. We stopped in and with a decent line, we almost didn't know where to begin. Luckily we were full from lunch and had some restraint. The apple fritter and donuts caught my attention, but I couldn't resist grabbing a chocolate chip cookie. My wife went for a cupcake and donut. Everything was quite good. Someone told me that this was a "must see" place to go. I agree that the people at the register rush you. Yes they are busy, but if you have never been there, you want to actually look and see what are in the cases to see what you want. But with people standing all in front of them it makes it hard. I ordered a slice of the dream cake which she said was poked with holes and condensed milk put in. so in other words a "poke cake". But it was not good and was nothing special. The next item was the chocolate cheesecake which was kind of gummy, so you could tell that it wasn't fresh. The chocolate muffin was very very dry; more of a scone texture than a muffin. I also got the Bavarian donut.... wayyyyy too sweet. Why would you drench it in glaze, then put a chocolate glaze on top of that? Talk about diabetes buster. It was ok when I peeled the sugar crust off of it. But I don't see the big hype about this bakery. Also, when I opened the box in my car there were 2 knats in there.I also thought it was kind of funny that they have to lock up the scent thing in the bathroom. read more

Food was great. Service was abysmal. Crew in particular. I ordered two cups of ice cream - one for my husband and I to split, and one for my two sons. One scoop is big here - more like 2, and it was close to bedtime. We wanted to split the boys' ice cream into two cups, so we asked the young lady serving us for a second cup to split the boys, and she handed it to us. Crew then appeared and said, "You can't do that," and held out his hand to my husband for the cup, explaining that "you could buy another cup of ice cream, and we would charge you for that." Taken aback, my husband and I just gave him shocked smiles and declined that. He then THREW THE CUP AWAY. The cup we could've used. I can think of about 4 better ways this could've been handled. This was awful. Like laughably bad. It was around 8:13PM on March 21, 2026 in case you have camera footage of it you want to watch. It was hilariously bad service. read more

This place was HAPPENING! I expected a very limited selection of stale donuts but that was not the case. There were so many things to choose from we couldn't decide! We got an apple fritter, a pink almond donut and a cinnamon bun. We saved them for the next morning and they were all still delicious! Great place for coffee and pastries - about one block away from the Birth of Country Music Museum and The Bristol Hotel. It has a cute interior and lot of attorneys in the morning. In the mid-afternoon, it was crowded with a long line (and substantial waiting time). Coffee was very good (but not great). The pastries were OK, such as the cannolis on the bottom shelf. But it was not fresh - I think the cannolis were sitting there for a few days. The appearance of Blackbird Bakery is lovely. But the brewed coffee and pastries were good (but not great). read more

OMG! You cannot visit Bristol without visiting Blackbird Bakery. They are closed on Sundays, but open all other days. Anytime is appropriate. They serve great breakfast items, ice cream, and desserts. There is usually a line but it's worth the wait. The cool thing about BB is everybody in your party can find their own dessert, and they are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend visiting the Blackbird Bakery ... Pros: good flavor drip coffee, cake donuts were yummy, it is a quant shop with lots of seating. Neutral: the young man at the counter was pleasant enough. He answered all our questions and gave recommendations. The lady that rang us up seemed indifferent. A quick smile but overall it didn't feel friendly and welcoming. Cons: I got a cup of ice and black things came out with the ice which makes me concerned about the iced latte I ordered. I also got the berry coffee cake. The topping part was tasty but the cake part was very dense and not enjoyable. All in all we expected more based on all the reviews. Super cute bakery/coffee shop on the edge of downtown. Looked to be in a historic building. One half of the interior is the area where they have all the baked goods/service area. The other half was a cozy spot with sofas and chairs for customers to enjoy. We happened to be there on a day when the weather was nice so we sat outside. There were about 4 or 5 tables outside. Nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastries and watch the world go by. I noticed a lot of take-out orders on a Friday afternoon including what looked like a large cake so seems like this is a happening spot! According to their posted hours, they are open late into the night so a nice place to chill in the evenings as well. read more

We were on the search for fresh baked sourdough bread. Blackbird has a sweet sourdough bread which though delicious was not what we were looking for. However, everything we purchased from Blackbird was outstanding. We bought the veggie quiche, a cinnamon roll, and a loaf of the sweet sourdough bread. Our favorite was the cinnamon roll. It was huge and covered with cream cheese frosting! We will be back when in the area. Service was friendly and quick. Heads up: drive through only was open.
