MS BLT Arcadian Spring Salad

I got a to-go meal from the Mustard Seed for lunch to give it a try. It was amazing! BLT very yummy and salad was fresh and good portion size. The service was also very kind and complimented my hair. I would recommend this place! It is a nice and comfy ambiance on the inside.

Chai tea , espresso and Cuban sandwich

What an incredible place such a great atmosphere and some of the best coffee I've had in my life. The espresso shots woke you up instantly the Jamaican me crazy coffee was one of the best I've ever had and I'm an Avid coffee drinker. Also, the Cuban sandwich came out warm and great. The bread was perfectly toasted such high-quality you will not be disappointed in this place. The chai tea was also incredible.

Nice little local sandwich shop. Great choices on sandwiches, soups, or try a quiche or frittata. Service was quick. Just hope they replace the smoke detector battery soon as the chirping was quite irritating.

Cute little eatery in downtown Kingsport. Free street parking and also a free parking lot across the street. Came with a friend for lunch who loves their quiche. I tried their Reuben and Arcadian Salad. The beef on the Reuben was thickly sliced and a bit tough. Overall the flavors of the kraut, cheese, and bread were good. That salad with their house (poppyseed dressing) is delicious! I would order the salad again. And those tiny muffins! Y Funny signs all around to read while you wait for your meal or chat with a friend. Friendly servers and quick service. There's indoor and outdoor seating. They also have coffee and dessert. Can't wait to come back.

Oh my! Where to even start? My husband and I were in Kingsport and decided to give Mustard Seed Cafe a try and we were not disappointed. I had the Reuben and a bowl of tomato basil soup and my husband had the grilled cheese (four cheeses) and tomato basil soup. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing! If you get to sit at one of Nancy's tables, you are in for a treat! She was so much fun!

So many options on the menu, it was difficult to choose but the take on a Cuban sandwich with pulled pork was excellent. Service was great.

This is a great quaint little place to eat brunch or lunch. Limited hours but if you get the chance, definitely try it out.

The entrance has some significant potholes so watch as you enter or leave, but the opening is very wide so you can maneuver around them pretty easily. This area is also used for the stockyards so there were several trucks with trailers but they tended to park further away from the restaurant. There are steps to the entrance, but there is a ramp on the left side as well. There is also a handicapped space at the bottom of the ramp, but you will need to walk through the gravel lot so plan accordingly. The entrance is at the bottom of a U-shaped bar. All seating is at the bar so large parties will be spread out. It you do have a large party, try to get a corner so you can talk easier. I was able to find a seat along the right side. There were quite a few regulars, evidenced by the joking between them and the staff. The place can get loud with all the conversation, but everyone is friendly and the staff is accommodating. While the kitchen is in the rear, the drinks, cups, silverware, etc. are all in the middle of the bar. This area is quite busy as all the staff maneuvers through here. It did seem waitresses were experienced and took care of both sides of the bar. The building itself is pretty run down but "well used" does not indicate dirty or unsafe, just that is has a lot of history. I ordered the biscuit with gravy and sausage and added two eggs for an additional dollar. The food came out in about ten minutes. The biscuit and gravy were very good and the eggs were cooked as ordered. The sausage was dry but was OK when added to the biscuit and gravy. My coffee never got below half a cup. It was a relatively warm morning, and the restaurant started to heat up while I was there. It appears they only have a wall air conditioner which cannot keep up with all the heat generated in the restaurant. It was not uncomfortable but could be that way in the summer. Betty's is a homey local spot with a decent breakfast for a good price.

If it was bigger and had tables, you'd feel like you were having breakfast at your grandmas house. The staff is friendly and the little time you do wait you can peruse all the wall decorations. There is no need to detail the food other than to say it's delicious and definitely not for those who are being deliberate about their diets. Sit back, enjoy and go back in time to a much simpler world. By the way, cash only

Dori and I were looking for lunch one day while visiting Boone, and ended up in FARM, mainly due to visiting Boone Belles right next door. What was an accidental encounter turned in a fantastically spiritual experience. Like all my write ups, I am giving my opinion based on the type of restaurant, service level expectation and the price. The business model is to feed everyone who walks in whether you can pay for it or not. You can eat for free, pay $10 (or as much as you like), buy food tokens to leave in the token jar (passing on a meal) or work off your food in the kitchen or helping out... again as much or little as you want. The atmosphere is what your would expect in a cafeteria with folks servicing you off the line. The food is fresh farm to table and you only pay $10 for your meal, of which they have few options and basically tell what you can order. ... the food for the price was exceptional. There were folks from all walks of life from well off families to homeless folks off the street. The tables are tight and few in number, but not so much to be instructive. They are close enough to do one of my favorite things, meeting people and hearing their stories. So eat, meet and move on to make room for others. You really can miss it if you do not know it's there...look for it tucked away between Boone Belles and the Horton Hotel. In summary, if you are looking for a different dinner adventure, a good meal for services and price, and want to do some good in the world please check out the FARM Restaurant.
