I've been to this coffee shop several times. This is really the only good coffee shop in town, so no competition there. I typically order oat milk cappuccino, and have been pleased with what the barista made. They are not the friendliest when it comes to service, but get the job done. Overall, a good option for coffee. read more

I ordered a matcha latte. It's had a mild sweetness just like I enjoy it. They also had quiches. I wasn't quite hungry enough to order the spinach feta and mushroom quiche but it came out steaming hot and looked great. I think this place would be good for breakfast or remote work. read more

Been going here since I was very young. I'm grateful to say it's definitely been a part of my childhood. I don't even need to say anything about the drinks and food, because they are always going to be an 11/10. The vibe is perfect and you can browse the makers mart while you wait. Wandering through an adorable artsy store (next door) I found myself in this super cute coffee shop. (There is a door from store to store. Or of course you can enter from the front door) The Corner Cup has various teas, coffees (brewed, americanos, espressos... the brew of your choice), hot chocolates and a handful of baked items to choose. There were vegan and gluten free options, a quiche of day, cookies, breads, prepackaged goodies. There is seating inside and out. This would be a quaint place to study or catch up with a friend. We had more Christmasy shopping to do so we orders to go. A great find on this cold and raining day in Jonesboro. read more

The only coffee shop you need. I delicious coffee and delicious sweets. Non dairy options include: coconut, almond and soy. This is literally the most comfortable coffee shop I've ever set foot in. There is outdoor seating and tons of indoor seating. LOTS of outlets for plugging in your laptop. Tables for meetings and groups and individual seating that makes you feel like your sitting in a friends living room. The staff is super kind. The shop is right next door to a Makery space where you can walk through with your coffee and check out tons of beautiful local art, pottery, clothing and soaps, etc. from local artists and makers. Seriously I could stay here forever. read more

Kara is a delight! She's worth the trip alone, but the coffee is spectacular, custom roasted in Elizabethton. This is a fine coffee shop but they are ignorant of ADA laws. They refused to allow a true service dog to accompany its owner. The dog was being perfectly behaved and had a red leash with large white letters that designated SERVICE DOG. In violation of Federal Law, they insisted that the dog must be wearing a vest. A vest is NOT required. We typically have a vest on him but it was in our other car. I understand that there are fakers but you can't make up your own rules when it comes to ADA. You can refuse service if the dogs is not under control. read more

A wise person once said, "Mornings are for coffee and reflection"... : ) The Corner Cup is a great little shop that serves quality coffee and very well made, delicious crepes. To my taste, both are just right! I love the staff - personable, friendly, and conscientious in the midst of their service. The coffee inspires that relaxing exhale of aaahh ..... My crepe today was pleasant to the taste and folded tidier than my Army bunk in basic training ... lol. The shop is small so if you want to sip and reflect get there early on weekends before the shop starts to fills up. It's also great place to meet with friends so conversations and laughter abound as the morning progresses. read more

Specialties

Located on the corner of Spring St and Main, The Corner Cup fits in beautifully with the quaint atmosphere of historic downtown Jonesborough. We serve locally roasted coffee from Elizabethton's Doe River Roasters and offer a plethora of loose-leaf teas from Upton Tea. We offer both hot and iced coffee drinks, and we proudly use organic flavors from Joe's Syrups. We also use Joe's Syrups to make our Italian Sodas for a refreshing summertime drink. We also carry baked goods from Lazy Lady Baking Co, as well as a variety of baked goods that we make in house. We have house-made biscuit sandwiches, rotating soups, rice bowls, and salads (depending on the season).

History

Established in 2015.

We used to get only 1 dozen but I've never made it back to Cali without at least one passenger bartering for a few.. it's become a thing! fresh, buttery rolls on a plane is the adult equivalent to getting to stop at McDonald's for a Happy Meal on the way back to school from a doctors appointment; you're literally king for the day! Most people kind of take a step back from me when I ask questions because I can come across as very intimidating . These two were very welcoming and treated me like a person . It was refreshing and I am appreciative . So now on to the coffee , it is a nice smooth roast . Not acidic , no funny aftertaste just a good solid brew . My wife got some latte with orange in it and it was really good . So good I was like man I wish I got that . Only thing that could even make that orange latte better is to put a little orange zest on it and then it would be a perfect drink . Thank you for all the information about the area and the great experience you both provided to my wife and I
