This is great to provide you with options when you decide to switch up your order. I believe Black Rock's service is amazing. Their baristas are consistently friendly, quick, and efficient from getting your order to making your drinks. The service is laid-back, where I don't feel pressured to hold a conversation or talk about my day (you know what coffee spot I'm talking about). Sometimes I'm still trying to start my day and just need my caffeine fix before talking to people, this is why Black Rock is great! As for their ambiance, the interior/exterior of Black Rock is modern yet cozy. It's always clean and have plenty of natural light if you would like to hang out with friends or study for school. Drive through and walk up ordering wasn't bad. A little bit of a wait, but nothing too bad. They were having issues with their espresso machine this morning. Overall it has a cool vibe. There's a couple parking spots if you want to hang out in your car. The coffee cake was really good but unfortunately, my cold brew coffee was terrible. The Hailey was nice at the airport location _ but she has a few things to learn about making assumptions and correcting a customer which embarrassed me. She needs to grow up a little bit, and learn how to interact with the public more diplomatically, rather than scolding them and making excuses. I spent about $20 each time I come to a Black Rock which includes a $5 tip, I've always been impressed with the staff at the Campbell and Broadway location. I just started getting to know the young people who work at this location. Today is the first negative experience I've ever had, and I hope whoever is reading this, at Black Rock Marketing, will take my concerns seriously, and bring my review to her attention. Took a while to get service at the window and there wasn't much shade except for a little tree with lots of pollinators. The barista was super friendly and peppy. My go-to cold brew was almost out, so the hubby and I had to share. Sizes remind me of Dutch Bros (S=16, M=20, L=24, XL=32). Nitro cold brew was cold, foamy, and slightly sweet (without sugar). Very yummy and I would come back for it. Kids got Italian cream soda and caramel mocha. Both were happy and sugared up. read more

What a cute drive-through coffee shop! I think you can also order online before arriving there and pick-up. Not sure if they get walk-ins. But looks like it's better to order once you get there and wait in line with your car. There is not much place to hang out or shade. Wait time was as normal as any coffee shop or drive-through fast-food place. The payment part was kind of all right. We didn't notice at first, so we weren't looking at the left side but seemed like someone came out of the shop with their iPad to get the payment. It may be better to have a second window or a second person at the same window for payments. The price wasn't clear on the menu except for the large size. So, as I saw the large size price, it seemed reasonable. But if they offer different sizes, then they should have said their price as well. Unless everything is the same price? Anyway, we got their medium hot mocha and regular hot americano. The coffee was alright, nothing to stand out. Just helped me get my morning caffeine only. read more

Went for a morning latte while staying a few blocks away at the airport hotel. The servers were very helpful in providing drink information. The drive through menu sign is very limited on details so I greatly appreciated the helpful employee! To top it off the latte was tasty! read more

I love supporting local coffee shops and I'm so disappointed I have to give them only 1 star. We ordered ahead for pickup. We arrived and there was no parking. We pulled up and stopped along the curb and went to the walk up window. Our drinks were not ready. There is no shade and we had to wait in the sun for 15 minutes for them to finish our drinks. 6 cars made it through the drive through before we got our order. When we got our order she exclaimed she did not know we were waiting...we were literally standing at the order window the entire time. I was hoping the coffee would redeem them but it was mediocre. We ordered ice blended and there was absolutely no ice in my drink it was a watered down cup of cold milk and coffee. Don't waste your time here. read more

Ordered pickup through Yelp, which actually goes through Grubhub. Unfortunately, they tacked a huge surcharge on to the Americanos we ordered. Small was advertised as 4.50 and when I got there, the menu showed a small as $3.75. We ordered extra large so who knows how much got added, but it was almost $14 for two. That being said, the drinks were very good, although they hadn't even started them yet. So much for preordering. We'd go there again, but won't order through Yelp again, and wouldn't bother with preordering since it saved us nothing, and actually cost us $. Since this store opened, we go about 4x a week and get two or three drinks each time... It adds up, but we have appreciated this location UNTIL today. Today my assistant went and got us our drinks, and I ordered a Strawberry Coconut Fuel with Strawberries. Sugar-free with no ice. The manager was working the window and said "that topping it off because of no ice would cost extra", and honestly, I do not have a problem with that (although this is the very first time a coffee place has ever said this) The problem I DO HAVE is the drink was NOT made right at all, and the manager did not care, did not notice, and was only concerned about it being ordered with NO ICE. All the kids that work the window at this location have always been beyond amazing.... Very attentive, very talkative, and very polite. For a chain coffee shop, I can't complain. I got an iced latte with one pump of vanilla, which can be hit or miss because it can end up tasting like water but this was good and not too sweet. Coffee is descent, how ever, if you're willing to wait 30+ minutes for your coffee. They for some odd reason don't use the speakerphone in the drive through, so they take everyone's orders at the window. So by the time it's your turn to roll up, you then have to give them your order, wait for them to make it and then pay. Rather than just paying and leaving. The system here just sucks. Everyone's nice that works there. But if there's people in the drive thru, even if it's 2 cars ahead of you. It'll be 20+ minutes. read more

Sad store with unbelievably terrible service. A blonde young woman working alone with a broken speaker took our order. She was clearly stressed about the line and shorted 2 of the 4 identical drinks to avoid fixing the mistake of not making enough coffee. We further wasted time by going back into the line to tell her she didn't make full drinks. She said this was not true and said if we wanted more coffee we would have to pay. She said she was right and she knows what she did. She also didn't make a large coffee correctly and said she refused service when asked if she thought she made that correctly as well.
