Burleson Location...
David P.

OK, doing Black Rock's homework for them, visited on Sunday, and took a few pics of the inside seating, which is very nice actually. Also, the smoothie was tasty, and the young ladies working the counter were personable and professional. This place is hitting on a lot of cylinders, and I do wish them well! Check it out! Original review: So just called their number listed for Burleson, and all I got was an answering machine directing me to their webpage, then it hung up... Hey Black Rock...do you have inside seating? A place for people to meet? Chill? Get their coffee groove on? You might want to post a few inside pics to Yelp or other social media (your webpage might be a nice start)...was calling to find out...will assume no.

There is nothing better than a great local roaster with a coffee shop attached, right? Well wrong!…read moreWhat about a local roaster with a coffee shop attached AND they offer tours? Even better right?? Well welcome to Parks Coffee! I've driven past this place so many times on PGBT that I googled them and saw they offered tours. So I immediately booked one and have to say it was well worth the cost. You get to see the behind the scenes and understand more about the process of making coffee. There is even a tour you can request in which you can roast your own bag (details on their website as it may change from when I post this). At the end of the tour you get to try a sampling of their single origin coffees that are paired with bite size pastries from a local bakery, La Casita, that were delicious! The pairings really brought out the notes in the coffee and even I felt like a coffee sommelier! Plus after the tour you get a discount at the coffee shop and it applies to their sweet shirts. Overall I highly recommend checking them out and taking the tour. Their coffees were great and the tour was enlightening.

It does get busy but never too crazy! Nor does it get super loud in there either which is perfect for studying. The coffee here is also great! They have different coffee special drinks every month and I usually try those or I get my usual lavender latte. I love this coffee shop and I'm so glad it's close by. It's still my go to spot!

Hands down one of the best roasteries I've been to…read more I'm not big on coffee (this disappoints all my coffee friends) but I did deeply enjoy the latte I drank here. I could taste the quality and how they had recently roasted the beans. I enjoyed the richness and depth of the coffee beans in the espresso. I also really liked the kougin amann - I feel this is how they should taste; crispy outside, fruity inside, no hassle when I chew and keeps me relaxed. The staff is exceptional - I liked how the owner struck up a conversation with us about where we are from and my friends traveling. The vibes are that of a roastery with massive brick walls like a Brooklyn warehouse with cozy seats, games, and (assuming) art from where they get their beans. I'll be returning :)

One of these indie shops is Full City Rooster. I stopped in twice and had an iced Latte. The crew was great. Very nice, good eye contact, they seemed genuinely happy and made some good casual conversation. The coffee was fantastic as well. Good pull on the espresso, not burned, and the balance of milk to espresso was ideal. The space itself is cool, (feels smidge stark as far as seating), but the aesthetic and atmosphere, as well as the patrons, made this spot a fave to stop in.
