Getting there, the drive was really simple and the surroundings beautiful. The distillery itself is tucked away in the back near some other garages. There is parking near there but it is limited. We chose to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day. The service there was great because the individual behind the bar was very attentive, asked us questions about what we liked, and gave recommendations based on our answers. We wanted to start off with the flight, which was a great option because it helped us really decide on the drinks we wanted to try out that were recommended to us. In the end we got two drinks each and walked away with a bottle of brandy and gin. Safe to say that we enjoyed what we tasted. Highly recommend if you are in the area and want a nice chill experience.

We saw this place on yelp and thought it would be a great spot to find locally brewed spirits. When we entered we were greeted by Rob and Dylan. They were super friendly and Dylan did a great job at explaining the different spirits and what they have to offer. We decided to each do the 4 glass tasting for $15 and with 8 tastings total we got to taste most of what they had to offer. My boyfriend loved everything he tasted! I'm not really a big fan of darker liquors but I really loved the Harvest Gin and Eagle Harbor Brandy, I had to bring a bottle of each home to share. We drove to Bainbridge so it was super easy to get there and there was lots of parking available. Overall an amazing experience with great conversation and definitely will be visiting again.

They've even added coffee to the menu. Service is always friendly (maybe because I know most of the staff). Heritage has been my go to for grabbing a cocktail and showing the Harbor to guests. Sadly, it's all ending. Heritage has announced the closure of all tasting rooms 12/31/2025. If you want to try them, time's running out! Make sure you have a chance to stop in before it's all gone.

The Gig Harbor location closes at the end of December ( of 2025). We were over in Gig Harbor this past weekend to see a friend and were actually surprised to to see this tasting room still open. We knew that Heritage has closed many tasting room locations already and just assumed that the Gig Harbor location closed some time ago. But nope, they are still around for a few more weeks. We got some spirits here. I got some miniature bottles of vodka and whiskey and Steve got a spirit that has an amazing Earl Grey flavor so we definitely had a nice purchasing "Hurrah" here before this location closes. Despite all tasting rooms closing Heritage Distilling will still exist as it is going to a production only operation.

At first, we were surprised that they didn't have TVs, so kind of gave up on the idea of watching the game, but they suddenly popped out a projector and had the game on the wall for us to watch! The space is a bit dark but perfect for the projector setup, or for a pre or post-dinner drink. I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're in the Interbay area, we'll be back!

I'm not usually a whisky or gin fan, but theirs were quite good. Also interesting to try aquavit! Was pleasant chatting with the owner and we were able to have our pup inside too. We left with some whiskey, Hwy 101 coffee liqueur (in a gnome bottle!), and their raspberry liqueur.

There is a reason why most vodkas are multiple times filtered and that is to get rid of this awful taste. They will not win any competitions with this approach. I am truly sorry, because I lived on Bainbridge Island for many years and I know the effort and enthusiasm of these distillers are sincere and honest, but truth be told this vodka sticks, literally.

John & Jennifer had a dream and they have made it reality with their passion, hard work and dedication and it shows! We came to Sandstone Distillery through Harvest Host, a membership program that offers unique overnight stays for RV'ers. We arrived on a day the tasting room wasn't open however John & Jennifer graciously opened their doors for us and gave us and evening we'll forever remember! My husband and I each had a different tasting, one was amber spirits and one was clear spirits. The tasting also came with some premixed cocktails they offer. With each spirit and cocktail, John told their story which created a genuine interest in the spirits! We sipped each one and learned so much about the process and passion that it takes to create amazing spirits. We walked away with three different bottles and returned two days later for 3 more!! Jennifer has also created some utterly amazing sipping vinegars, Wild Heart Sipping Vinegar, and will offer a tasting of those as well, make sure you taste them, they're phenomenal! We had a great time at Sandstone Distillery and will definitely be back!
