Sadly, they are now under different ownership and it is now a completely different company. Do not do business with Rainmakers. I asked for an itemization of what exactly they were charging my 1,782 dollars for...never happened. All I need was a water pump installed. Then they told me I needed to hire an electrician. How foolish since the pump started it just was not working properly. Two pumps later and it still is not operational. Ed finally told me I had a choice, keep the pump that did not work or refund my money. Nice business. Terrible people skills. My husband passed away from pancreatic cancer... I'm single mom with three kids, guess Ed thought I was a fooolish woman who knows nothing about running a house and he took full advantage of my situation. I did get partial refund and have no working pump. I'll look forward to talking with my neighbors for recommendaions irrigation businnesses that demonstrate professionalism, ethics and competence. Just terrible. Additinally, i was told that I could not get an itemization of work becasue it was proprietary information. It was my error in blindly truting this company. Ed is now sharing the only reason I did not get it was becasue they do not work on weekends. Ok Ed, its the weekday, I'll expect that itemization, Priveledged? Yes, as this community knows my husband and I got into teaching forthe money and fame. Our house is the result of a combined 63 years of services to the HInsdale and Glenview communties. Period. They have earned their steller 2.5 overall review.

We received quotes…read morefrom four (4) reputable companies in the Northern Illinois area and Moreno's was the least expensive (by several hundred dollars). Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about lawn sprinklers and was able to walk around our yard and figure out (in his head) how many sprinkler heads (rotators and spray heads) we would need to effectively water our lawn and flower beds. Afterwards, Carlos and his wife, Maria, sat down and prepared a written proposal on the spot! Most other companies got back to me several days later with a quote... Carlos and Maria were very pleasant to deal with and we could tell they really cared about the customers. They repeatedly thanked me and my wife for the "opportunity" to do work for us, knowing that we had many options when it came to our irrigation project, but ultimately chose them. They were very responsive to emails and phone calls during the planning stages (securing a permit through the Village on our behalf, etc.) When it came time for installation, they hoped to have the entire project done within one day, but it took longer than expected... Maria brought us homemade tamales (just because) and they were absolutely delicious! The weather didn't cooperate for about a week (freezing cold and rain), but the following week they came and finished the job. This time Maria brought us Mexican pork and vegetables, which were amazing! What customer service! After the installation was complete, Carlos and Maria walked around our property, explaining how each of the watering zones were configured and the amount of time each zone would be watered for. We had a WiFi controlled installed as part of our packaged and Maria directed me to a YouTube video which cleared explained the configuration for the initial setup. We have had our sprinkler system running for over three (3) months now and absolutely love it!! It has been working perfectly, with no issues, and we by far has the greenest, lushest lawn in the neighborhood! After two weeks you couldn't even tell the lawn had been dug up with the vibratory plow to install the hoses and sprinkler heads! By the way, most of the other estimates were quoted for 15-20 more sprinkler heads than what Carlos installed for us...which I think would've been way over-kill! All areas of our lawn and flower beds are appropriately watered and I have no idea why we would've needed that many sprinkler heads. I would hands-down choose Carlos and Maria from Moreno's Irrigation for your lawn sprinkler needs. They are a hard-working family who genuinely care about their customer's satisfaction!

This company claimed 'to take over' our business from dew sprinklers. They were ready wanting my…read moremoney but didn't want any part of even checking what state our sprinklers were in, which were left in a fairly bad state prior to the transfer. We would report issues thru the summer/fall. We would be told, oh these are better to be looked at in spring. Come spring we are told, oh thru the winter a bunch of stuff broke so you need new stuff. When asked since they took us over as a customer, if they would care to see/check/validate the current state of now their setup / installation (which was in a poor state), they said I would need to pay for initial consultation. I'm all up for paying for broken stuff and replacement and service. however to take over a customer and their dues but not even knowing the current state, that's poor service. when asked about this on a call, there was no intent to help .
