Wow!! Right as I walked in I noticed 3 gentlemen, all young in age but elderly in their barbering craft. I am immediately properly greeted and exchange pleasantries. I am then offered a variety of ice cold beverages. There is timeless classic music playing in the background, anything from reggae to rock to hip-hop. The shop is decorated with an array of art and collectibles, very interesting to look at. Now for the haircut, I had the privilege of having Roman cut my hair (the one with the elegant beard in the left corner). He inquires on exactly how I would like my haircut and he executes with precision. His expertise with the scissors leaves my comb-over looking flawless. His gentle and detailed use of the clippers has my fade looking smoother than butter. His samurai abilities with the straight razor leaves me looking sharper than a freshly forged sword. He then combs my hair with uppercut deluxe pomade, which has me looking like Van Gogh himself styled my hair. Thank you guys for the great experience. I just found my new Barbershop in Riverside. Having just moved back to the area, I was in need of a place locally to get a good haircut, and while I have been to a few other shops in town, this is by far the best that I have experienced, even better than the shop I was going to back east the last few years. Too often barbershops move between the overly crass to the overly subdued, but this shop has its own identity, that feels real and creates a great atmosphere for any customer. It was not overly pretentious or carelessly dirty. The shop was clean, opened on time, and made me feel incredibly welcome as a new customer. The professional and casual nature of the shop would appeal to just about anyone, and parents should not be concerned about an unwelcoming environment for children. I will be bringing my nephew with me next time he needs a cut. One thing that I particularly liked, was that I was able to book an appointment through the shop website, and received an automated reminder shortly before my appointment time. The staff are top notch. Funny, professional, welcoming, and talented. At the beginning of the appointment Ruben asked me exactly what I wanted, and made sure that we were both on the same page. He made a few recommendations, and proceeded to work. The fade I got from Ruben was exactly what I wanted and his razor skills are second to none.Throughout the haircut, Ruben told me what he was doing, and what was next, so that no surprises or concerns were there. It was great. The other staff was welcoming, conversational, and very accommodating. Although I did not get a cut from any one else, they all interacted with me and felt like a great spot. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of a good barber. The price is right, its a great place to spend an hour, and you leave feeling and looking great. I don't even need specify who cuts my hair when I make an appointment because they all deliver with superb quality. They're extremely professional, while also incredibly easy to talk to. I got my hair cut once by Ron in Santa Ana and that was it, I found my barber. when I heard he move to his own shop in riverside I made the drive out there from the Santa Ana area. He's cut my hair 4 or 5 times since always a great experience. the shop has a/c so even when it's hot as hell out there the shop will keep you comfortable with that and a beer if you like that. Purty awesome shop.. they came through clutch!!! I've been in dire need of a chop for a good minute and couldn't find anyplace that would take me the same day, except for electric the crew was very friendly and made me feel right at home. Not to mention how legit the cut was. Ruben took his time on me and didn't rush through it( which i like cause it shows he wants to make sure his work is legit..... kinda like a tattoo artist yuh know) He definitely got down on my hair and I give him props for it cause I brought him a disaster!! This place isn't a barbershop, it may look like one on the inside but looks can be deceiving. I went in early morning as soon as doors opened up for a walk in. Can't do a walk in, gotta make a next day appointment. I guess its trendy nowadays to make a guy wait a whole day to get a nice cut. It's simple, a fella should be able to walk in to get a nice cut and just relax. But I guess that was too much to ask for. 3 barbers, with no customers, on their phones. None of them were "available". I guess they must have very important clients like the Facebook guy and the Queen of England. read more

Having recently moved to Moval, and being botched at another shop while, I began searching for another place nearby home...I went to around 4 shops but wasnt really satisfied with the cuts since they wouldnt really do the cut how i wanted, even if I would show them a picture. Then while searching on yelp for another look, i saw this shop which wasnt around when I looked prior. I saw they were opened for around a year now and have a solid 5 stars. I was kinda sketched but read the reviews and decided to take a trip since its in downtown, only a 10min drive from me. Made my appointment on a Thursday for a Friday morning and it was a breeze. I got kinda lost a first since it really is kinda hidden. Had to walk a bit before i really saw it and parkings kind of a bummer but thats all riverside nonsense. The barbershop itself is amazing. They might have only been open a year but with only 3 barbers i can see why they have 5 stars. No jumping to places with 6-7 until you find the one. All 3 of them are talented enough where you dont really need to pick. But when I made my appointment, I chose Ruben and once i got there, I was greeted and seated instantly. I showed him a picture and described how I wanted the cut and he even explained his process on how he was going to do it. I was kinda nervous too since i never once faced a mirror during the whole cut until it was done but since my hair was kinda curly I couldnt reallt say how well it was but the fade and blend came out excellent. Once i got home and showered, styled and straightened my hair, holy smokes did it look fantastic!! I couldnt believe it. It looked exactly as how i wanted it to be! Ruben didnt just give me a cut, he gave me a work of art! I cant wait to get my next cut there again. Plus, i give him probs for using blow dryer to style the hair also.
