Made an appointment with Ron as I had seen some of his flattop haircuts on Instagram. A flattop is probably the hardest cut a barber can do. If it is not precise, it will not look right and there is no way to disguise that. Ron was ready for me right away and we discussed exactly how I wanted my flattop. He spent quite a while making sure it was exactly perfect. It was just as I asked for and could not be better. I received two compliments on it within an hour of leaving the shop. If you are considering a flattop, Ron is the man to see. And from his Instagram page, I see he does all other types of cuts just as well. So I had a regular barber but Unfortunately they just aren't what they used to be with service. So I decided to branch out and find a new one local to my house. I searched on yelp and was lucky enough to stumble across electric barbershop. While I was looking for the location which is hidden by the way back in a little shopping center which is really awesome and quaint I took notice of the nice area they are in. I walked into a bunch of guys just chatting it up making the day go by quicker. Let me tell you about Sammy and Pops, the hangout crew. You'll find Sammy (The mayor of Riverside) possibly asleep in the corner red chair. Sammy is quick and kind to offer you a water and some relaxing moxy. Pops is outside possibly chatting it up for his future ex-wife (by the way this was my first visit and I learned that he's been divorced many times). Which I find awesome, you do you Pops. The barbers are hysterical and just make the day pass chatting it up old school. The vibe is awesome and everyone making this small business happen was legit. I Definitely found my new shop to go to. As a consumer I feel like you're always looking for a business where they know your name when you walk in and you can touch bases on how life is going with other people this shop is totally that. read more

I'm never completely happy with a haircut. That was until I went to Electric Barbershop. Ruben is fantastic. He asks questions about what I want before he gets started. He takes his time and doesn't rush through the haircut. All of the guys in the shop are very talented and welcoming to the clients who walk in. We were visiting from out of town to take our engagement pictures, I was unable to get a hair cut from my regular barber before we left. We looked up barbers in the area and chose this one based merely on the reviews from Yelp, Facebook, and Google. I booked the appt online the night before. Took my kids here for their first grown-up haircuts, and was so pleased! The barbers were great with my boys and made conversation with them, asked them how they liked to style their hair (even though let's be honest - the kids typically give 0% effort in the mornings). The shop had a very cool ambiance to it, lots of tattoo shop influence in the artwork and one of the barbers seems to be a big fan of "Jaws". The boys looked really sharp when we left and you could tell they had gotten a big ego boost from having the attention of the "cool guys" who worked there. Today was my first experience in a Barber shop and I will say I have been missing out, my barber Ruben took his time and gave me a precision cut. Impeccable service and skilled craftsmanship! I have followed Ron (one of the barbers) over the past 8 years from 4 different shops from OC to LA! I'm glad he's back in the Inland Empire! All barbers take their time to make sure that every single hair cut is precise and perfected! When you walk in you are immediately greeted and welcomed with a cold beer or bottle of water! They have a cool and laid back atmosphere and there is always good music playing! Just had my haircut here for the first time. Set my appointment up on their website with Roman. Awesome guy, chit chatted with him throughout my time there. Everyone there is super welcoming and friendly when you walk in. After sitting down, they will immediately ask you if you want a water, or a beer. Situated in the heart of historic Downtown Riverside, near the Mission Inn. I live downtown and like to support local downtown businesses, plus I can walk here and back home so this place is perfect for me. Oh and the haircut? 100% on point. Roman asked me exactly what I wanted and then delivered exactly what I asked for. I'd never been to an old school barbershop before, so first time with the hot towel at the end and squaring off the sideburns and back with a straight razor and shaving cream! Truly awesome place! I work all over the country and have a hard time finding a barber I would trust...and these guys nailed it. What's more important to me is they trim beards and that's what I truly care about. Making an appointment online was easy. They schedule you for one hour. When I arrived I was immediately offered water or a beer (too hungover for a beer haha) but it was greatly appreciated. Sat down with Roman and he asked what I wanted and asked a lot of questions before he started anything and continued to ask as he was doing his work. What I really appreciated was the time he took working on my beard. I honestly think he spent more time on that than he did my hair - which is totally fine with me! I would absolutely go to this place again. All of the guys are great there - after a few minutes it felt like I'd been going there for years. Definitely give it a shot!!
