A co-worker of mine had been raving about how good these guys are so we decided to give them a try on our way back from a trip to Europe. I was not sure if they would have a minimum for one-way service so decided to call them first instead of booking online. The operator was very helpful and willing to offer one-way service with no minimum hours. This was a good first sign because our main goal was to not just use them for this trip but also for our upcoming wedding day. Our Chauffeur (Al) was on time, the limo was well kept and the rates reasonable. We mentioned to our Chauffeur at the end of our ride that we have a wedding coming up and were thinking of making a reservation. He told us that if we are happy with his service, than he can inform his dispatcher and someone will call us to help with our reservation. Fast forward to October, a week before our wedding. We received a courtesy call and a reminder regarding our reservation. We had made an 8 hour reservation which including multiple trips from my home to the make artist than to 2 photo shoots and than back to our house. Through out the entire day, our Chauffeur was very friendly. Our 8 hours reservation ended up being an 11 hours trip but at no point did he display any signs of being unhappy. On our way back from the Banquet, to our hotel room, we were hesitant to ask him to make another stop at my house at almost 1 o clock at night and he over heard our conversation and himself offered to make the stop. We could not have hoped for better service and since have recommend A1 Luxury to a handful of people.

Did not happen and ended up waiting 30 minutes and had my parents dropped off by another limo company because I couldnt find the limo driver. Response from the owner "I apologize that the chauffeur didn't contact you when initially on-site. I can assure you he had arrived on time and was on-site; a quick call to the office versus 30 minutes of finding alternative transportation would have easily confirmed the location of the chauffeur for your parents." Of course I called twice! but who the heck wants to leave messages on a machine the morning of their wedding! Plus why should I have to call? I gave specific instructions to have the limo driver contact me UPON ARRIVAL. 2. Had specific instructions to have the limo decorated during our departure from the wedding with a just married sign, rose petals, red carpet and bottle of champagne. Once again they only made it half way. Red carpet laid down and champagne but no signs or rose petals on the car as requested! 3. Saw 2 transactions on my credit card statement and am still waiting for details of what the 2 charges are for. Will update when I hear back. Overall, I wouldnt recommend yourprivatelimo to anyone. The only reason I actually gave them a chance was because Tracey (owner) stated that YPL had a reputation for a high level or service and safety and I believed her. Hopefully you wont be fooled. We booked a limousine and a party bus for our wedding day. The limo was for me and my bridesmaids (booked to drive us to our "first look" spot) and the party bus was for the groom and his groomsmen, and then the whole wedding party after the first look. The limo came on time, even though we were running 30 minutes behind, the driver was completely patient and accommodating. He helped all the girls get in and out of the limo. After the first look, we all hopped on to the party bus. We were a total of 20 people. We all fit comfortably and had room to move and dance around. The driver of the party bus was extremely friendly, accommodating, and professional. The limo and the bus were both clean, and stocked with napkins, water, beer, and champagne. We were allowed to bring our own cooler with alcohol as well. The party bus had a clean, functioning bathroom in the back that I used twice with the help of my maid of honor. We went downtown to take wedding pictures, and we got there in a timely manner, even though it was the Saturday of the Air and Water show. I was really worried that it was a little bit risky to go to the city, but everything worked out great. The driver was extremely helpful and got us to Vernon Hills even a little bit earlier than we had to (we even stopped by to get food and more alcohol on our way back). We loved our experience with American City Limousine so much that we recommended them to my sister for her wedding (8/29/15).
