This was my third time using Americar Shuttle and I was once again pleased with the reservation process, professionalism and flexibility with reservations details. My driver was friendly, on time and arrived with a clean car. My only con would be the lack of refreshments. I am not sure if this is guaranteed within their service but the last few times I booked the driver had bottle waters available. I just expected this amenity to be consistent considering gratuity is included within the pricing. Overall the service was great but I believe this company may outsource their drivers so I may use another company that has a standard when it comes to vehicle model etc. read more

Got no showed. Main company number doesn't work. Driver's goes straight to voicemail. No reply on email sent.

This company no-showed me. I had setup a ride to the airport for my family for 8am on 1/12/23. By 8:15 they hadn't arrived and so I called to ask what was going on- they said they'd contact the driver and call me right back. They *never called back* and even when I tried calling them back numerous times over the next 30 minutes, it went to voicemail each time. I was absolutely floored by the terrible service. Luckily, after realizing they were never coming or calling back, my husband was able to call an extremely last minute Uber XL and we barely made it to the airport in time. I can't believe this company nearly cost my family our flight! read more

We read the reviews and they looked good, so we schedule a 2:20 AM pickup on May 20, 2022, going to O'Hare from Evanston. This was for a 5:00 AM flight--what could go wrong? The disclaimer said the car could be up to 15 minutes late, so we waited and waited. They claim to have 24X7 availability--and they do--VOICEMAIL. The car never showed up. They initially told us the fare would be about $45 then we got a message saying it would be $75. They billed us right away and then added an $83 service fee. We tried multiple times to contact them and never got through. The only thing that saved us was an Uber driver and we got to the airport in time for the flight. At least they had the good sense to reverse all the charges before we had to dispute them with the credit card company. I would never even consider using them... read more

I was confirmed via website and email for a 3am pickup on May 4th. No one showed, no answer on the email confirmation number or the website phone number. Already paid via CC. In fact both uniquely different numbers are to some random guy who sounds profoundly uneducated. I left a VM and email. I didn't have any time as my flight was leaving in 2 hrs. I ended up parking for $40 a night in the Midway Airport lot. I Let them know, they didn't care, AT ALL. I would really avoid this half-rate dump of a company and owner. What a joke. read more

The worst experience ever! I use limo/shuttle service often and have never had such unprofessional, unreliable service. I booked airport service picking up my brother from Chicago Midway at 2 pm on a Friday. His flight got delayed several times at Burbank. He called the driver at the number given who informed him he was no longer his driver. I called the company who then told me they would assign another driver and email me and text info to my brother. They did that. His flight kept getting delayed and they said don't worry and they would check for updates. After being reassured it would not be a problem and they would check for updates, when my brother landed he was outside about to call the driver and got a call from the driver that his ride was cancelled. They left him stranded at the airport! I then called the company who said they cancelled his transportation due to too many delays. He said the driver is within his rights. What about our rights after they charged my credit card? Do they not have a duty to provide the service I paid for? I asked why they did not call me and I was informed they tried calling him. Hellooo...he was on the plane with his phone off! I told them they should have arranged another driver and at the minimum they should have called me so I could arrange alternate transportation. I asked for a refund which they said they would do but did not. I had to dispute the charge. I absolutely would not recommend this company to anyone. Not only did they not provide the service I paid for and left my brother scrambling for a ride, they did not even attempt to be to resolve the issue. Poor business practices. read more

Great and reliable service! We had Dreana who took as to the concert and picked us up after- she was amazing, on time and handled all the crazy traffic after concert at Wrigley field! Car was crispy clean! Will definitely use their service again! read more

Thrilled with the service we received from Americar Shuttle. We needed to get our family of five to MDW (about 60-90 minutes away) on relatively short notice (less than 24 hours). We were able to book a minivan easily at what appears to be the market rate. Our driver arrived 15 minutes before the appointed time and was very courteous. The traffic and a driving rainstorm made things a little nerve-wracking, but the driver wove safely through traffic and was able to get us to the airport with ease. Would definitely recommend. read more

5 star service! Great drivers, reliable and on time. I used another limo company for years before they changed hands and service went downhill. Then I tried Uber to go back and forth to Midway and O'Hare. I gave Americar a try and I'm so glad I did. They're professional, courteous, and have comfortable cars too. They're my new livery source to Chicago airports! read more

Despite making a reservation weeks in advance, Americar left me stranded at O'Hare. Because I did not get an email confirmation the night before as they claim they send, I left a voice message and emailed them between connecting flights. When I landed at O'Hare there was still no response from them. When I called, I got their voice mail but kept calling until someone answered. He sounded very confused. He located my reservation but could provide no explanation of why nobody was assigned and told me I would have to find another way home. I emailed them a few days later but got no response. No apology. Nothing. Do yourself a favor and use another service. Not sure how they can stay in business. read more

Excellent Service! I was very nervous because this was the first time that I used a service to get from Northwest Indiana to Midway airport (and back). Normally I drive and park in the lot but since we were traveling with my daughter's service dog, we didn't want to deal with that hassle. The driver (Hatim N.) was on time picking us up and we arrived at the airport ahead of time. Coming back I knew it would take us a while to get from the gate to the arrivals pickup and our driver (Chris R.) was very accommodating. Both drivers also helped us with all of our luggage and other items. It was an amazing experience and so much less expensive than other companies. We will definitely use them again! read more

I had the pleasure of using Americar for the first time and can not say enough about the customer service and over all experience. My driver, Omar, did an excellent job and was courteous & kind. Highly recommend this company. read more

Initially, i chose Americar because they were the only car service that would take me to Midway for under a hundred dollars. In the future, I'll choose them because it was a marvelous experience. I was able to book my ride online threeish weeks in advance; the website was very user friendly, and I received an email the night before my trip, providing me with driver's details. Javier picked me up, and the car was immaculate. He texted me to let me know he would be arriving in thirty minutes (which was a few minutes early). He was courteous, professional, and amicable. He helped me with my luggage, and let me eat the breakfast i didn't have time for on the way there. I'll definitely be requesting him again! read more

I use Americar Shuttle and find them to be the best in the area. They are very responsive and make sure you are aware of where to be picked up, etc. I highly recommend this reliable service for your future trip. read more

So much for no cancellations. After reconfirming a ride three times the driver did not show. No call from the company, no apology, I am left at the last minute scrambling. Can't blame it on covid just poor unacceptable service. Do not book a ride with this company. read more

Resevered a town car a week in advance for a 3am pick up and midnight pick up and midway airport. They took the money right away and did do the pick up at 3am but the day before the midnight pick up canceled my order at 3am and then when I called they said there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. They stick me with trying to find a car for my wife a day before when most places need 3 days to unfilled. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICES! read more

Just had the worst experience with Americar Shuttle! Do not use! Disrespectful and very rude! Late picking us up! Picked up and left us with no ride from the airport, almost drove away with our luggage! Slamming the doors he is telling us to get out! Worst experience of my life! read more

Great shuttle service, arrived early, very friendly, very good prices, complimentary bottles of water, and comfortable vehicle. Can't ask for more! Will definitely use again for shuttles to O'Hare! read more

I just used this shuttle service to get to Midway Airport. First, I downloaded the app in the App Store. It is so convenient and easy to use to reserve a car. I was assigned a driver the day before my trip and he contacted me to confirm. I really liked that they were in contact with me so I didn't have to guess. I was provided his name, email and cell phone. Great! My driver Tim was early on the day of service. He was polite, friendly and drove safely. The only negative would be that I'm used to professionally dressed drivers. I would make that recommendation to the owner as the drivers are a representation of the company. Also, I chose not to tip through the app until I received service. Upon arrival at Midway, there wasn't an option to tip through my reservation in the app. You just get one chance to tip on the app at the time of booking. So I tipped in cash. Another recommendation to the owner would be to fix the app where your clients can tip upon the quality of service after the ride is completed similar to Uber. Also, another nice feature on the app is you can select your drivers. Now that I know to him and like him, I will be requesting him in the future. I recommend this service. All rides are private, not shared. They have sedans, mostly Lincolns, limos, vans...and upon request and availability, car seats for infants and children. I'll definitely use this shuttle service. Reasonably priced and reliable. read more

Great Service - Competitive pricing. William was a great driver friendly conversation and much safer than Uber or Lyft. I would definitely use again read more

Great service and fair priced drivers arrived early and super friendly. I knew who was picking me up and in what vehicle the night before and the driver was nice enough to text me on location with photo of car. Highly recommend read more

Over the years, we've used a number of car services for rides to the airport. Some good, some just awful. We just tried Americar and were very impressed! The email confirmation was much appreciated--some companies don't even bother, and then I wonder if they will actually show up after I've booked! Bob picked us up promptly (was actually a bit early, but we were ready so no biggie), and got us to O'Hare safely and on-time. The following week, Bijay picked us up for the ride back home. His texts were helpful in locating his car (this was the night of the immigration protests, so you can imagine the chaos), and we enjoyed a great conversation with him on the ride home. Americar is great--highly recommended, and I will use them again. read more

We flew in from Dallas to O'Hare & we scheduled AmeriCar to provide us with transportation from & to the airport ahead of time. Scheduling this online was very easy & their website is customer friendly. Our driver was Daniel (one of the business partners) on both trips & he was very friendly & I enjoyed talking to him about the business as I work in the same industry. This company's prices match & even beat those of other car services. Definitely will use them on our trip to Chicago next year! read more

I use these guys EVERY time I travel because I have never had such continually good service. They are always on time and reliable. Cars are clean, and the drivers are always friendly. I highly recommend them! read more

Basit Khan picked me up exactly from my doorstep at 4 AM on Monday morning. It was showering heavily, but he arrived my home almost 45 mins prior to the time. Great professionalism. The kind of service he provided in the odd weather, deserves more than the appreciation. I am very happy using this shuttle service. read more

Wonderful, on-time service. Courteous, friendly & professional driver. Clean & new SUV. I would highly recommend this service. Thank you, you guys are the best. read more

Uber like Shuttle service. Customer service is good as long as your flights and baggage are on time If not you'll get to see the real Americar. Rude, condescending, extremely disrespectful and then incompetent. It all fell apart. I've used many shuttle and limo services and understand occasional glitches. I rarely leave reviews but felt so strongly compelled to do so here. Will never ever use them again. Stay away. read more

We had the pleasant experience of having Adam pick us up from the airport in Chicago and drive us 2 and a half hours to our house in Lake Michigan. Not only was Adam very pleasant to be around, but he made the ride comfortable, enjoyable and even fun. We got to learn all about Game of Thrones and the city of Chicago. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride and will be using this company again (and requesting Adam) on our next trip to Chicago. EXCELLENT SERVICE AND EXCELLENT DRIVER. read more

I believe my son's driver was Tim. This guy was awesome and really helped us out of a jam. My son missed his shared shuttle from another company to airport and was in desperate need of a ride or he would miss his flight. We called Americar Shuttle. At first they were booked but then they called our house right back and said they could do it. From there, the driver was in constant contact with me at our house since my son's phone was not working. Americar Shuttle and Tim really helped us out of a jam and I really appreciate it. Will definitely use these guys again for Purdue to airport transportation. The level of communication was awesome! read more

I've tried a numerous amount of car services over the years and have finally found one that I will become a repeat customer with. The changes in my flight times in and out of O'Hare airport were handled without any complications. Everything went so smoothly from making my reservation online to my final drop off. Both of my drivers were outstanding, extremely friendly and made the 50 minute ride to and from the airport a very enjoyable. I will be using them again. read more

Great company. The company I usually use to get to/from the airport was not available. I found Americar Shuttle online and made a reservation. The whole transaction was very easy and professional. Communication was fantastic from the email confirmation to the early morning communication with the driver letting us know when he would arrive. Our driver showed up early and the car was very clean. The Thank You text we received later that day a nice touch too. I will be using Americar Shuttle as my first choice. read more

This company is thee BEST y'all. On time- every time. Great prices & AWESOME drivers. 5 stars. Perfect. Thanks Americar!!

I have been using this cab service for a while now and I would highly recommend it over other local cab services. The drivers are extremely friendly, polite. Also they have a good turnaround time for my pick up request as compared to other cab services. One driver was also kind enough to give me water and turn down the A/C temperature as I was feeling feverish. read more

We used Tronsfer for a ride between Midway and Elgin. We had to leave very early in the morning and Hersh texted us the night before to let us know what time he'd be at our home and also before arriving. They were on time, efficient, and friendly. We recommend them! read more

The ride to Midway was great. The ride back not so great! I was.adament that I needed 2 car seats both ways! The driver arrived at.Midway.with a toddler.booster seat for my nine month old grandson. My 3.year.old grandaughter had to be strapped in using a seat belt! The driver who never did give his name was texting on the expressway. This whole thing was not cheap! When we called to complain they said they would get back to us! Won't be calling this service again! read more

I travel frequently, so every time when I travel, I worry about how to get to the airport conveniently and not miss my checking time. So I did a research online this time and I found this shuttle service who gets great commends by customer. That's why I decide to try their service for my trip last month. I made my reservation online and it is easy to me to make a good pre-plan for my busy schedule. The driver arrived just on time and I had a good experience on my way to the airport. I even can make the round trip reservation for my return schedule. Now I don't need to worry about my pick up plan any more. Recommended! read more

Scheduled a pickup the night before, after the driver seemed to be over 20 minutes late, I call to find out that the man handling the night shift, quote un-quote "Dozed Off" and didn't see the order. Almost missed our flight. HORRIBLE service. DO NOT order from Americar EVER. read more

Horribly unprofessional and will never use again. Our driver abandoned us in downtown Chicago after a concert because, in his words, "there's too much traffic and I can't turn around." After an hour and a half and numerous attempts to connect with him, even sending him a picture of exactly where we were waiting, he flat out refused to pick us up. We had to call an Uber at 12:30AM to get us home, which cost an exorbitant amount of money. Management was to call me back and rectify the situation financially, but they didn't. I followed up today and will apparently be refunded for half the amount of my round trip fee, which will not come close to what we had to pay for a last-minute Uber. I was told that this was one of their 'better drivers' so that should help paint a solid picture of how this company treats their customers. read more
