I received a confirmation email that said to wait for a "ready for pick up" notification from the store before picking up the game. Today (Friday, November 15th) was the release date, and I waited for a call or email to go pick up my game. I didn't receive either. So, I just called the store, and explained the situation. The sales person said they don't send out emails, but they had early pick up yesterday for people who reserved a copy. I told him I wasn't notified, and said they didn't get through all the notification calls. In the past, I always had really awesome customer service. But guess what, GameStop, you lost a loyal customer. I will be going elsewhere for my games now. Your loss. I'll vote with my money at a place who will treat me like a loyal customer.

But what I didn't know is it tacked on an additional $25 to my $12 total. Oh well. Today I went in and got two books that were $7 and a box of pocky sticks, then I was asked about donating coffee to the troops with a big pitch about the beautiful gift basket it comes in- okay, I felt too guilty to say no- and my total was $36. Double what I thought it would be. What? What was I supposed to say. I paid my total disgruntled and left and from now on I will purchase on eBay or Amazon. There is never any information on what you're donating or the cost. My friend behind me also got roped into it and felt the same way as me. I already donate to a lot of charities and sometimes I just want a good deal on a used book or two without a guilt trip as I have a hard time saying no. Lately I have ended up losing money by shopping here for used books vs the competitors for new books. I don't mind donating but make it CLEAR about the cost. Not everyone has endless money.
