We stopped in last night for our first time, the staff and servers were so friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere, never felt rushed and our server was awesome! He explained the beers, the food and gave us some really great recommendations. He was spot on! Our food was so good and we are still talking about it today, especially that pizza crust... the shrimp tacos were a bug hit as well. Great place for a casual night out or with a group of friends. I had such high hopes for this place being in downtown Prosper which definitely needs an infusion of nicer, fun places to go. That said: the food was just ok- nothing special. Fair really. Overpriced and just not what would be expected for the price. My sandwich was so thin you'd have thought it was made for a kid. The chef used so much pepper that my salad was barely edible! I had to try to move the top layer off to the side so I could eat some of it. The drinks were fair and the same thing I said about the pepper in the salad could be said for my drink! There was so much pepper I did have to send it back! Service was slow- very slow. We were there very early evening and the place was not crowded. The waitress was very pleasant but we sat there for about 45 minutes before someone even took our food order. Finally, we requested they split the bill and even that was done incorrectly! Management needs to have a sit down and go over these issues with staff. I'm glad we tried this place but we likely won't be going back for a very long time. Hopefully, if they're still open in 2-3 years they'll have fixed these issues and we'll try it again. read more

We have visited a couple times now and can confirm they have consistently offered great food and excellent service. We've sampled a healthy amount of the menu offering, all of which have been tasty. Clam chowder and onion rings are a must have. Pizza, Ruben and smashburger did not disappoint. Can't wait for the expanded beer offering and to make use of the rooftop!!!!! read more

Visited on a Thursday evening. Venue was packed. We got seated on the upper patio, and what a view. We were there for a while and were able to see the sunset as well as a beautiful full moon. Loved their burgers, onion rings, and pizza. I was told they recently opened. The staff was on point with the service and with any questions we asked. Food was ok, can think of another place down the street that has much better food and for a better price. Also, tried to order queso and the waiter said do not and that about half of them that come out get sent back. In addition strongly recommended against the adult Mac and cheese and chicken pesto. Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich... chef needs to do some research on Nashville hot. Very evident that the sauce had liquid smoke in it and overpowered everything else. Not good. Fries are good. Jalapeño poppers, not cooked all the way, was still mushy on the outside. Sauce was good. Diavolo pizza, oily, bad, not good. Please don't. Service was ok. Nice inside obviously from being brand new as one would expect. read more

First time in, I came for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon with my husband. First impressions - it's a nice place! Not super busy. My pepperoni pizza was tasty and we had great service from Cordale. Sweet tea needs some work but otherwise we had a good first visit! read more

Server Kayla was awesome very attentive when she was able to help our table. They are very understaffed and the service feels this. The bartenders love to small pour cocktail drinks unfortunately and make it better by filling it with ice and another lime. Need more effort on a busy Saturday night. Went on a Saturday night. Wasn't too crowded on the rooftop patio but got busy. Lots of things went wrong but I think it could all be fixed by training and leadership. Server was busy but spent a lot of time standing near the bar with the other servers (so don't seem to be understaffed). We had to wave him over multiple times to get more drinks/water, order our food, get napkins and the check. Didn't know how to make substitutions to the standard orders. Cheeseburger came without cheese and took 15 minutes to replace. Food runners were wandering around trying to find where to deliver food - no one knew the table numbers. Most of the tables around us seemed to have the same issues. Could have been great with training, organization and good leadership (never saw anyone who looked like they were managing). Ownership and lack of management is the problem here. This isn't Blackhawk California buddy. We've been to a lot of bars, and we've HAD great experiences here in the last two months when being served in the dining areas both downstairs and upstairs on the roof but, ownership here needs a reality check... WAKE UP!!! They're consistent on one thing, rolling the dice with customers. My wife and I have been in several times (at least 6) and have been served by David at the bar downstairs, Harrison at a table downstairs, and Michael at the bar upstairs. ALL of them provided exceptional service, even when things out of their control went haywire. They are employees that understood that the CUSTOMER comes first and their tips reflected that. But tonight was our last straw. Kaila served me and my wife at the bar upstairs. Gorgeous night for a rooftop bar! But, she was the rudest bartender we have EVER encountered and we're generally pretty gracious I would like to think. She was so rude... not only to me and my wife, but to her coworkers as well, literally heard her barking at them telling them apologize to tables waiting on drinks FOR HER and saw her even bringing one to tears when they were doing their best to cover for her. So sad. Not a great start to the night, but we sat at the bar upstairs 9/25, and we watched her complain to customers about the work environment, management, and be rude to other servers, only to then get our drinks wrong. On top of ALL that, she was short and rude to us, rolling her eyes, when we simply asked for our drinks to be corrected. She treated us like we were a burden to her for asking her to get the beer we ordered *when she got a sec* corrected. When we paid out, she even yelled at us as we were walking away because we didn't leave a tip... "HEY, aren't you gonna come back and fill this out?!" she yelled across the bar. To be honest, no, we weren't going to tip her, as bad as that sounds, the experience didn't warrant that. We aren't ever those type of people but after waiting 26 minutes to be greeted and another 15-20 minutes for our *wrong* drinks to be delivered we felt like it was not deserved. A simple beer and a house wine... but yeah you get the point. Avoid the wine IF you decide to give this place your money... terrible choices all around. On a couple occasions the staff has even persuaded us away from the house wine stating it "wasn't that great" in the past. For $10 + per glass, It all tastes like the 7-11 garbage wine you could buy in a big box at 11:58pm for $8 at the convenient store. The ownership here needs to wake up and realize that if your customers aren't happy, you have NOTHING. We definitely won't be back and we actually hope to see some of our favorite servers here jump ship in the future. Great spot, great potential, terrible execution. Avoid until further notice. They have a thing or two to learn about Texas hospitality for SURE. read more

Well, we were excited to have a new brewery 5 miles from home open up. The place was packed on a Friday night, and we sat outside upstairs at a table. Waited 10 minutes before our waitress showed up, and we ordered, figuring we probably wouldn't see her for another 15 minutes. Ordered chicken wings, two beers, water, and coconut shrimp. Food actually showed up pretty quick and tasted good. After another 20 minutes, they brought us one water and said they were out of glasses, so we shared a water. We had no silverware, or napkins, and asked again for those. Took roughly 10 more minutes tobget them. We were done with our food before the beer showed up warm. At a brewery! Asked for the check because we just wanted to leave as the service was so slow. Took 20 minutes to get the check. When leaving, there were six workers hanging out at the hostess desk. Might want to send some of that satff upstairs to help. We left and walked over to the Gin for better service, appetizers, cold beer, and a piece of cake. Kinda wish we had gone there to begin with. read more

Upon arrival into the restaurant we were pleasantly impressed with the ambiance, only to be disappointed by the long wait times and service. Although the server was very friendly, he seemed to be the only server for a Saturday afternoon. We were seated almost immediately, however did not receive the 1st attempt at our order for close to an hour after being seated. The order was wrong so, they took the food back to the kitchen. After the 3rd attempt and being wrong, we had enough of the Black Hawk Brewery. I hope they get it turned around. I would love to give them another try but, it may be awhile so they can practice their craft. read more

We have been counting down to the opening of this brewery. The atmosphere is great and all the staff were friendly. The food was way over priced for what it was. It was ok but nothing great. Watch the check if you order a drink off the menu. I ordered a plain margarita on the rocks due to an allergy to their jalapeño margarita. They used the same brand of tequila as the one on the menu but up charged me $6 for not using the jalapeño one! A $19 margarita that was not very good is CRAZY!!! The waiter offered to change it but at that time informed us that any drink that differs from their menu list is upcharged! Needless to say, we won't be going back for a while. Hopefully enough people will voice their concerns regarding prices and ridiculous upcharges! We left super disappointed! read more

We went here for a family lunch but we're a bit disappointed. First, they were out of both types of beer my husband wanted to try. We ordered jalapeño poppers and onion rings for starters. Both were decent but nothing to rave about. Hubby got the Reuben which he thought was pretty good. I got the coconut shrimp which came out very overcooked and, consequently, rubbery. A friend ordered the barbecue chicken salad which was huge and very good. DIL got pizza and also ordered pizza for our two young granddaughters. Pizzas were good. Our son had wings which he also said were good. We all had drinks that were decent. The service was okay as well. Now, my biggest complaint - we asked for some ranch dressing and marinara for the little girls to dip their pizza in. At a table that spent almost $200 on lunch, they thought that charging extra for tiny cups of ranch and marinara for two children was a good idea!! I know inflation is making everything cost more but this falls under customer service to me. It's a good location but they definitely need to work on their menu in places and rethink some of their policies perhaps. read more
