She truly loves her job, she is not a money hungry wedding vendor trying to rip her brides off. As a bride, I've met many different vendors from dress stores to florists and if there's one thing they all have in common- trying to get as much as they can from a bride planning her dream wedding. This was not Regina, her prices were extremely reasonable and the quality incomparable. As I said this was amidst the pandemic, so I didn't know if my 10/11/20 would happen. After receiving the quote and design proof from Regina I told her I would like to wait before placing the order since no one knew if this pandemic would effect my wedding. She responded with nothing but kind words and hoped for the best. Fast forward to May 2020, I decided to postpone until March 2021- but then September 2020 decided to replan my wedding in a month to get married on our original 10/11/20 date. Unfortunately, because I decided a month before the wedding to have it again there was not enough time to send paper invites. I had to do the 21st century pandemic thing and send an evite (ew, I know) but I was left with no other choice given the short notice. However, I still needed place-cards for my bridal shower and the wedding. Regina could not have been more accommodating, she got them done quickly and they were PERFECTION. When I went to pick up the place-cards, she could not express how happy she was that amidst this pandemic I was going to have my wedding. With tears in her eyes and genuine happiness, she told me she had a surprise for me. She then handed me the stunning invitation we had spent hours planning. Regina wanted to ensure I had a real copy of my invitation to take pictures of and cherish forever. Her genuine, passionate, kind hearted work should be known to every bride. Thank you Regina, you are a very special person. Don't ever change! There are not many (if any) vendors like you, who truly love their job and do it for the love not the money! You get to fully customize and hand-pour your own coconut and soy wax candle with an estimated 60-hour burn time. The process was really fun and easy to follow. You choose your vessel color first, then pick up to two scents to blend together, which they recommend for a more layered fragrance. They had around 27 scents available, including seasonal options, plus 12 vessel colors to choose from. They said that they do seasonal colors and scents. I picked the holographic vessel, which seemed very popular, and blended moss with smoky sandalwood for a candle I named "Twilight Garden." Everything is self-guided, but the setup is extremely organized. Each table has laminated instruction cards walking you through every step: choosing your vessel, selecting and mixing scents, measuring and pouring the wax, adding glitter and dried flowers, and finally naming and labeling your candle. Some people just drew on the naming labels and I thought that was such a cute idea, I may try that next time. The staff is there whenever you need help, and Amy was especially kind and helpful throughout the process. The space itself is very clean, spacious, and relaxing. They also have a restroom on site. After pouring your candle, you can leave and come back anytime before closing (7pm) to pick it up once it sets. They even trim and bag it for you, which was such a nice touch. This is such a fun solo activity, date idea, or group outing, and I love that you leave with something genuinely customized that also makes a great gift. There is smeone there to help explain the process and monitor your process, but a lot of it following the steps at the table. It's fairly easy and not hard to follow. We managed just fine, because my sister had completely forgotten how it works. I ended up with a beautiful lychee white tea candle that smells absolutely amazing. I love that you can really customize it. The whole process took about an hour, less if you are efficient and also don't want to wait for your candle to dry. We did, and just chatted at the table a bit. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend it as a group activity or even a date activity.

Naturally I made a reservation for myself too. For our Lip Lab experience, I made a reservation for Lip Layers which included a custom liptick and a custom lip gloss. When we got to our reservation we basically had the place to ourselves. Right before we arrived, a private party was ending. I didn't know what I wanted to create but ultimately for the lipstick I wanted to recreate one of my favorite Kat Von D colors. To start off your reservation you meet with an employee who explains the experience. First you choose your shade then choose your finish (satin, balm, matte or sheer), add choose your scent (mango, vanilla, peppermint, pomegrante and rose), after that choose your case (sage, penny, copper etc). For the last step, you name your product and they engrave it. I love my products. Great size and value. The product is long lasting. You won't be disappoinnted. This was fun. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I loved how they work with you to get your perfect color. In the event that you want to order again, they give you a card with your fomula. Lastly if you don't want a customized item they sell ready made item likes from lip care, lip liner, lip stick, lip balm, blur cheek sticks and brushes. I personally also love that the ladies here truly represent the diaspora and I know I'm supporting Black women. I've had a deep condition, faux locs, straight back braids, two feed in braids, and twists. The stylists are talented and depending on what you want you'll go to different people. Every time I've come, my appointment has been on time and they get me in and out quickly. I'm going back for my wedding hair and can't wait to create a hair masterpiece with Susy. I found this spot on instagram when a local influencer spoke about getting her hair styled here and the hairstyle wasn't typical and it was beautiful. I went to their website where I was able to book an appointment. I can to the shop and was immediately created, the energy was positive, the stylist Kathy, came over to me and introduced herself to me and we discussed what I wanted to have done, we talked about pricing up front which I really appreciated. My hair was washed by another young woman in the shop, and baby that was the best wash I've had in a while. The shop's decor is super fly, I loved the personal touches they had in the restroom, it really fells like a girls, girls shop! Back to my service, the stylist was kind, great energy and even asked if she could wrap up another client since what I was getting was more then originally booked on the site, I appreciated that level of consideration so much! By the time I left, I loved my beaded style, I enjoyed the service, the soundtrack that played throughout the service and just being in a fabulous shop where the styles happening next to me had me super inspired to come back.
