    Our loot!

Had the best time w/ my 3 girlfriends on our field trip...LOL! I thought this would be a fun activity. I didn't want to dinner or brunch, b/c we always do that. We like make-up so thought why not. We each made a lipstick and two of us made a cheek stick. Brianna and the other worker I'm blanking on her name b/c I'm old. Beautiful Black woman were super attentive and fun to create with. They had us laughing and were so helpful. Definitely who you want to work with. I now have my everyday blush and my vampy lip for fall!

Celebrated my birthday here and loved how pretty it was decorated. I came with my 3 best friends and everyone left with 1 lippie and i left with 3. 1 lip balm & 2 lipsticks. My friends chipped in and got me one of them and i got the others for myself. I love that you can pick the colors and the names of your lipsticks. I want to come back to make a lipgloss and matte lipstick. The only reasons i gave it 4 stars is i felt a bit rushed by the staff member. I wanted a true brownish nude lipstick but was not liking the colors and settled for a color i liked but didn't love. Mostly bc i felt rushed. The pink and coral colors were more spot on. I wanted matte but they recommended satin and i went with that instead. Another issue is there's no restrooms. We traveled from the Bronx to this location and def had to use the bathroom and couldn't. We each had to walk to Whole Foods to use the restroom there.

Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...My daughters gave me a gift certificate to Lip Lab for Christmas, and I decided to use it during a well-deserved ME day! I wasn't sure what to expect beyond creating my own lipstick, but I knew it would be fun. Upon entering Lip Lab, I was warmly greeted by Anaya and Christian. Anaya got me started right away, walking me through the process step by step. I chose my colors, scents, case style, and even had my case engraved. Christian suggested a cheek stick color I was initially skeptical about--but it turned out to be fire! Anaya encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and experiment with different shades, while also sharing tips to help my products last. The entire experience was fantastic, and the cost was very reasonable for everything you receive. While I used a gift certificate this time, I wouldn't hesitate to return and purchase again when my products run out. Fun, creative, and personalized--Lip Lab is the perfect spot for a solo treat or a group outing. I can't wait to go back, and you should absolutely try it too!

I have visited this location twice and made four different lipsticks at this point! Still very in love with them all!!! It's such a unique and fun experience to go (especially with friends)! It's completely tailored to you and the Color Experts work with you and take their time to make sure you love every aspect of your lip product! I really took my time and tried a hundred different tweaks to my lipstick and I swear they were okay with it! There's disposable applicators for you to test every tweak you make to the product and makeup remover as well! There's different lip products you can choose from and you get to choose every aspect of it. As for mine I got lipsticks every time and I chose different finishes and scents for them all! I was able to tailor a custom red, pink, peach, and brown lipstick. You're able to pick the name of the lipstick as well and have it engraved on the case. You get a card at the end with the specific measurements of the hues used to make your product (Ex: how much yellow, white, and red went into the brown lipstick you made) so that you are able to reorder it online when you run out! So so so much fun!!!

When I first saw this place, I told my daughter & her friends about it, and I made it happen- I took them here! The night before, they called me to confirm my appt and said for 3 people, it'll be an hour & a half. They work with each person individually. We arrived about 10 min. early, and got seated @ exactly 3:30 (our appt time). The girls opted for the lip gloss. The mixologists who worked with them were amazing and patient. You get to create your own shade (they mix it to your liking), you get to try it on and see if you like it or not, then you choose a flavor scent, & the best part- you get to name it/ add symbols, choose a font and they engrave it. The girls had a blast customizing their own lip gloss- they loved it! However, it did not take an hour & a half. We left @ 4:10, which is a total of 40 min. from start to finish, and $180 for 3 lip glosses. Not complaining, just saying. Overall, it was such a fun experience.

Wonderful experience we had at Lip Lab! We were a group of 5 and went during the afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves. We had 2 lip makers helping us with the color. My lip maker was so attentive, especially with me switching colors back and forth, she was more than willing to try different color tones, I knew I wanted a red undertone, so she was testing between red and blue, red and pink, red and orange. She had a lot of patience with me! Overall, I did end up with a beautiful red and blue color that all my friends agreed were perfect for my skin tone. We then watched her make our lipstick and I got to select the lip stick case and engraved it. What a wonderful experience with your girl friends! Highly recommend!

I was here for a birthday party which was hosted in their back room. I don't know what I thought but I thought we were going to make/mix our own lipsticks/gloss. No, they do it for you but rather "help" you find your perfect shade which you get to name. We were a large party (9) so they had 2 people to work the party. Well the girl who helped me wasn't much help at all. I felt rushed. As if I should have came in here already knowing what I wanted so all she had to do was write it down and create it. I ended up with a lip balm color I'm not crazy about and an overpriced lip liner because the minimum you had to spend was $65. It was a cool experience though and I would recommend if this is your sort of thing. Go with a fun crowd to make it worthwhile. Note: use the bathroom before you come here. They do not have one for the public to use.

Pros: + Customized lip colors - You know how you can never find that perfect red lipstick or that gorgeous nude? This is no longer a problem! + Gorgeous fragrances with the lipstick + Great for large groups - they have fun party ideas + Great for Gils's night - highly recommend it for a bachelorette party, Galentine's Day Cons: - A little pricey, but worth the splurge - No restrooms in the shoe

Kicking off Virgo season with a date night! We decided to make our own lipsticks together. He picked a lip balm and loves a gloss with shine on my lips. He customized a blue shade and named it "Pewter," while I named my pink "Patty Cake." The experience was enjoyable, but I don't think it's worth the cost. The assistant was fantastic, and the regional director was present too. Overall, it was fun, but not mind-blowing.

Overall Fabulous Experience! I came here on a Thursday with my best friend as an early birthday treat. I had an 11:30 appointment but was running a few minutes late. I called to let our lip expert, Rachel, know and she was completely accommodating. When we arrived she welcomed us in and explained how our lipstick making reservation worked. She was super nice and knowledgeable. The swatches My friend and I made 10 or so swatches. We never felt rushed and Rachel listened to us. She let us check out our shades in different lighting, gave us suggestions, etc. 10/10 Making the lipsticks Rachel talked us through every step of making our final shades and went above and beyond with helping us decide on our lipstick names & covers. It was a super cool process. 10/10 Pricing It's 60$ plus tax for your first lipstick and 40 for any additional. With the amount of time that goes into each lipstick, it is completely reasonable. Overall I would recommend this spot for you, you and a friend, a party. It was a lot of fun and I'm really happy with the shades I got! I'll definitely be back.

I always wanted to make a reservation so I was excited that ClassPass offered this service! I created a beautiful color. Rachel was so fun an nice during this experience! Will definitely go back again.

A great experience with your girlfriends and sisters! Perfect for creating your own lipstick while getting feedback from your friends is a plus. I love how you can customize your lipstick cap color and font. Although the colors may look similar, it looked very different on our lips. In the end, we ended up picking colors that resembles power puff girls (credit goes to the lady who helped us; she was the one who mentioned our lipstick looks like power puff girls)

I bought some lotion from them, and a while later (a month or so), my wife noticed black mold growing on the top. Pretty horrifying, because I hadn't noticed, and I'd been putting it on my face! Yuck. I brought it back, to tell them about it, not to ask for my money back, which I made clear. I just thought they would want to know. The salesperson called the manager to come over, who was excessively argumentative about it. "Let me explain something to you about our products," he said. "Our products do NOT grow mold." It was a little like the old, "who are you going to believe?" joke, since mold was growing right on top of the lotion, and we could both see it. And he just wouldn't stop. I kept telling him, I don't want to discuss this, I just thought they would want to know, I was just trying to be a good samaritan for one of my favorite stores. And he kept arguing. "Mold is caused primarily by moisture," he said at one point, as though he thought I was very stupid. Finally I said, "I'm going to ask you to stop talking." And he wouldn't! So I had to say it again. This all bothers me for two reasons. First, I thought the guy was defensive and insulting. Why disbelieve me? Did he think I brought some kind of fake moldy lotion to his store because ... why? He should have just thanked me for letting him know. Second, I thought they SHOULD care that their lotion grows mold! So the manager doesn't care about quality control, and he has an attitude problem. I don't feel that I can trust their products anymore, and unfortunately I cannot go back. It's too bad, because I used to love this store.
