Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers that sat in a two hour line so their 16yr daughter can get the latest fashion from Billie Eilish.

Its moments like these and people like these that make all the difference because ive never had any interest in Pajamas let alone luxury pjs but now ive got an eye on roller rabbit!

This is such an awesome pop-up market in Brooklyn featuring local artists, designers and creators!!…read moreThis summer (dates on their website), the market is popping up on select weekends at the Invisible Dog Art Center on Bergen street in Cobble Hill. Exactly the type of location you'd picture it at - a perfect fit. There are upwards of 30 vendors in the space with everything from pottery, clothing, jewelry, coasters, plants, and general household knick-knacks that you're SURE to find something for yourself or something for a friend's birthday or for a "just because" gift. I'm obsessed. It's extra cool because you're shopping local and supporting local businesses and artists. Tip: don't miss the trucks stopped outside that are also part of the event (esp Hunt & Gather!). So freaking cool that there are pop-up shops INSIDE trucks as part of the pop-up shop! As most know, shopping local oftentimes comes at a cost... and some things are a bit pricey. Which is why I'm knocking it down a star. It's not the market's fault, but it still makes it tough for us sort-of-frugal-buyers to find affordable items. I did, however, get an amazing coaster with the Brooklyn Bridge on it, painted by a local, and there were some plates/bowls and rings I had my eye on as well. Tons of options, and recommend EVERYONE stop by, no matter what price range you're looking in. I'll be back.

Unfortunately, the employee with the brown curly hair was condescending and nasty, and the clothes were plastic, cheap, club-kid costumes. No idea how it stays in business beyond Halloween weekend. Too bad. It's a gorgeous block.

I made an offhanded comment to my friend about this, and the owner/associate chimed in that the wall wasn't smooth, so a mirror couldn't be mounted. And by chimed in, I mean, in a confrontational tone, saying "you might notice the wall isn't smooth, so...etc. etc." I sincerely doubt some semblance of mirror can't be hung on a wall with edges and grooves. Not to mention, I wasn't even talking to her. 2) At one point, my friend forgot to take her hanger out of the fitting room, and the owner/associate made a comment about how if you don't bring out all the hangers, it makes her think something was stolen. The best part of this is that my friend put her backpack outside of the fitting room initially to make it clear she wasn't stealing. However, the backpack was blocking the back door so she asked my friend to move it (that made sense, but why over-explain/bring up theft at all). Her manner of explaining and her tone made the whole thing so aggressive and awkward. Something similar happened when I took my mask off to change and went outside the fitting room to look in the mirror. She told me to put it on and went into this long soapbox speech about how she's here all day, etc. etc. I simply forgot to put it back on as I moved from the fitting room to the mirror - telling me to wear it would've sufficed without the histrionics. I am just as concerned about the virus as she is. 3) I feel like the owner/associate was looking over my shoulder the entire time. I don't think it was a race thing, as my friend is lily white, but who knows. I just wanted some 80's clothes, since I go to 80's cover concerts every month, and I got this lovely experience instead. Perhaps she is used to dealing with rude Hollywood types, as the website says they sometimes provide clothing for shows. Her energy certainly matches those types. I am now looking at other reviews from POCs and it seems this is a common theme for this business. AVOID. Go to Hamlet's Village instead.
