Here is the reality in simple terms: * $2,000 down payment * About $11,700 paid so far in monthly payments * Only about $4,600 of that went toward the car * Over $7,000 went to interest and fees * As of December 2025, I still owe almost $14,000 * The interest rate is around 22 percent * The contract now ends September 2028 That means I have paid almost $14,000 total and the balance barely moved. This is how high interest loans work. Most of your payment goes to the lender first, not the car. I am not saying this is illegal. I am saying it is very easy to agree to something you do not fully understand, especially if you are young, stressed, or need a car fast.
